Trapped In The Arms Of The Billionaire

In recent weeks I have become even busier with the company, sometimes I don’t have time with my wife and I feel guilty about it but she understands so I can say that I am really lucky with Agatha and I promised to her that I will make up to her when the last projects are finished and the new investors have signed the contract already, but there are times when we can’t help but argue because of one of my clients, Ms. Sanchez, she often insists that the woman likes me and she is jealous because she is saying that I am with her more often than her.

Just like before I left the house we argued again because I came home late last night because of the meeting and I was also with Ms. Sanchez but there are many of us and now I will be with her  again in a lunch meeting. I tried to explain to Agatha but she didn’t say a word and just turned her back on me. I’ll talk to her later when I get home because I don’t want us to have a misunderstanding. But for now I need to attend the lunch meeting.

And now I just arrived at a restaurant where we were going to meet so I parked my car first. When I got inside I saw Ms. Sanchez waved at me so I walked closer to her.

“Goodmorning Ms. Sanchez.” I greet her.

She smiled at me. “You are too formal Mr. Hernandez, I told you, you can call me Veronica.” She said,

“Where are the others?” I asked her.

“Actually they just called so I said I’ll just explain to you that Mr. Santiago can’t be with us today in the meeting because there was an emergency happened in his family and also Mr. Samaniego said his son is in the hospital, they apologize about it and just schedule for another meeting. ”

“Is that so? It’s okay, let’s just schedule this meeting the next day, we need to understand their reason because it’s about the family.” I promise.

“I think so, we can’t proceed to the meeting without them.” she promised with a laugh.

“So since we don’t have any meeting today. I’ll go ahead now.” I said. Just as I was leaving, she stopped me.

“I think let’s eat first before you leave since we’re already here at the restaurant.” she said.

And since I was already feeling a little hungry because I hadn’t finished eating earlier at home, I just agreed and after this I will go home so I could talk to Agatha.

We just ordered and after a few minutes the food arrived as well. We started eating while chatting about things. I couldn’t help but laugh because of what Veronica was saying even though my arm hurt from her slap.

“I didn’t know that flirting was part of the meeting.”  said by the voice behind me.© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

I stopped laughing and looked at who it was and saw my wife’s serious face.

“Baby.” I said softly.

“You didn’t finish your meal at home because you might be late for the meeting right? Looks like there’s no meeting going on. As far as I remember, you have three clients with you in the meeting but why do I only see one. And wow client but name basis?“ After she said this she shifted her gaze to Veronica.

“And for you, I think you already know that the person who was with you now is already married, aren’t you? So you know your limitations already. You shouldn’t flirt with a married person! Are not  ashamed of the way you’re acting like a woman to this man?” She made a strong promise to Veronica and I saw her bow down.

“Mrs. Hernandez, it’s not what you think.” Veronica’s attempted explanation.

“And you think I’m stupid? What do you think of what I saw? Be professional!” Agatha’s language was strong.

I stood up and approached her to calm her down. “Agatha, let me explain. Let’s go home, don’t make a scene here baby please.” I softly said to my wife.

“Am I the one who is making a scene here? Really Ethan?” she fired back at me

“I apologize for this Ms. Sachez.” I said to my client.

“You apologize to her? Are you serious Ethan?” Agatha asked me incredulously and I also saw the pain in her eyes. I just don’t want to prolong the conversation.

“Baby stop it please.” I pleaded to her.

I turned my gaze to Veronica. “We need to go now. I’ll just see you again in the next meeting.” I said goodbye and I saw her nod so I immediately pulled my wife out of the restaurant.

When we got to the parking lot Agatha quickly withdrew my hand that was holding hers.

“Agatha calmed down first.” I said.

“I don’t need to do it Ethan because I’m not doing anything wrong.”

“And you think what you did inside was right? I don’t know why you’re there but the issue here is you made a scene there.” I promise.

“Wow! So it’s still my fault? Just great!” she said.

“I didn’t say it was your fault. I just wanted to calm you down first and I’ll explain.” my language.

“I’ve seen all that, what else do you have to explain?” she said and got into the car.

I didn’t do anything but drive home, it would be better for us to just talk there than here in a public place.

I tried to hold her hand with one of my  hands but she avoided me. I know she is angry now and I can’t bear that we are both like this. I don’t want my wife to get hurt.

I just focused my eyes on the road and continued driving, when we got home without warning Agatha got out of the car immediately and continued to enter the house. I just sighed and parked in the garage the car then followed him inside.
