Agatha POV

When I got out of the car I didn’t wait for Ethan anymore and I went inside the house first and went straight to the bedroom.

Soon he came in too, I didn’t say a word and just ignored him.

“Agatha, what you did earlier is not good,” he said.

“Oh, it’s my fault.” I answered in the negative.

“What is happening to you? You didn’t even ask me and you just rushed there and were rude to my client.”

“Is there something wrong with what I said? As far as I know, you have a meeting with your three clients, I don’t know that you will only meet one person.” I said.

“Hear me out please, that’s why I’m telling you that I will explain right? It’s true that I have a meeting with three clients but two of them didn’t make it because they have an emergency so we just rescheduled it for another day.”

“And since you didn’t have a meeting, you just stayed there with that woman? Your client is so sweet, right?” I said.

“Stop being sarcastic, Agatha! She just invited me to eat so I accompanied her but I’ll go home afterwards.”

“I am not being sarcastic here Ethan! I just said what I saw and I think there’s nothing wrong with that. And I think my reaction was valid because I just saw my husband having fun with another woman and it’s obvious that that woman is flirting with you! So don’t defend your client to me. ” I said seriously.

“I’m not defending her!” traces in his voice that he was annoyed and he just held back.

“Oh really? That’s not what I’m seeing and hearing now. I know how you side with her and defend her in front of me. You even apologize to her right? For what? To make me look like I’m at fault? But it’s fine with me  because you already said earlier that I shouldn’t make a scene there. ” I exclaimed.

I saw a few times of his rest sign that he was holding back his anger.

“Are you angry at me now? Don’t worry, I always understand the situation.” I added.

“Baby please, we don’t have to argue about this.”

“I’m not arguing with you, that’s why I said I understand, right? It’s my fault because I made a scandal with your client. Your wife became a warfreak, I should be ashamed because I am carrying your last name.” I still scoff.

“It’s not about my surname, I just want you to understand me too, business is business. I know you don’t know the policy of a company, especially me as CEO who has no other desire that everything doesn’t go well.”

I looked at him and laughed bitterly. “Don’t I still understand you in that situation? Seriously Ethan? I’m sorry, okay?  I don’t know what you’re going through, because I don’t have a company and I’m not a CEO like you, I’m just a normal employee of other people. “I said painfully.

“What are you saying Agatha? I don’t get you! I’m not saying anything like that! You’re always misunderstanding what I’m saying, you’re giving it another meaning.”

“I’m just stating the fact Ethan, that’s really the truth. I’m not as rich as you that you can be proud of. Don’t worry this is the last time that I will do that thing, I won’t interfere anymore with you and your decisions. ” I promised loudly and walked out.

He called me a few more times but I didn’t bother to turn around and go straight to the pool. I even met Gian but I really didn’t feel like talking.

Gian POV

“Hey bro these are the files you need, I brought them here because I know you’re home.” I whispered to him and handed him the folder.

We went to his office here in their house, it looks like he and his wife are fighting based on my friend’s face.

“Spill it.” I promised we could sit down.

“What?” he asked me.

“What happened? I saw your wife but she didn’t even pay attention to me.” I said.

“We just have some misunderstanding.”

“Why? What happened?” I asked.

He started talking until what happened earlier in the restaurant while I was just quietly listening.

“Hmmm. You can’t blame Agatha wju she acted that way, you’re so busy with work so you don’t have time for each other anymore.” I commented.

“I know that and I always tell her everything I do. She said she understood it. I also told her that I will make up to her when my schedule is already free and when the projects

will be in order.”

“We’re already on that matter but what happens earlier is different bro because if you’re in her position that’s probably how you’ll react also. Your wife knows there are four of you in the meeting and then she’ll see you and Veronica only and one more thing she saw that you are enjoying talking to other women while you are not having time with her and then your client’s gesture looks sweet to you. ” I explained.

“And what’s worse is you apologize to Veronica in front of your wife. What do you want her to think there? It will enter her mind that you’re making her look like she’s the one who’s wrong because you’re the one who apologized to your client for what Agatha did. ” I added.

“I just want to protect her because we are in a public place, I don’t want other people to think negatively of my wife.” his defense.

“Your reason is valid but you still hurt your wife’s feelings especially when you told her in front of her not to make a scene in the restaurant without thinking what she will feel. Her reason for being like that is also valid, especially her reaction. You acted wrong bro because you said sorry to Veronica because you thought about how she would feel because of what your wife said to her that you forgot Agatha also has feelings, that she is also hurt because in your eyes it looks like it’s her fault.” I said.

I got up. “I need to go now. Just talk to your wife.”
