Trapped In The Arms Of The Billionaire

Gian POV

It’s been three days since Ethan and I talked and now my mind is still in turmoil. I know in myself that I love Belle but it’s hard to avoid Maxine because we often cross paths.

I don’t want to hurt Belle because she was the one who sympathized with me the times I fell so maybe I loved her more than a friend. She is precious and I don’t want to see her cry because of me.

When I finished all my work I decided to spend time in a bar. I was not with Ethan because he promised to his wife that they will have dinner together with Luke.

When I arrived at the bar I just sat in the vacant seat and ordered some drinks. I’m tired at work because of meetings and I still have a problem with Maxine because sometimes she comes to my office.

I’m just drinking because I have no plans to stay here at the bar for long and I’ll go home soon.

While I was busy drinking, a woman approached me and when I looked at who it was, I saw Maxine.

“Gian!” she exclaimed as she approached me.

“What are you doing here Max?” I asked her.

“I’m with my friends,” she replied.

I nodded and didn’t speak as she sat next to me.

“Where is Ethan? Are you alone here now?”

“I  just passed by here for a while and I will also go home after this. Ethan isn’t here with me because he and his wife will have dinner.” I promise.

“I see.”

“Ahm. Gian about what I said last time,” she added.

“I don’t want to talk about it Max. I need to go now.” I sighed and stood up but I still couldn’t step on his challenge and I was crushed by a kiss that surprised me. I didn’t immediately move to push her into shock.

“What are you doing?” I said angrily and pushed her.

“I-im sorry Gi, it’s just I miss you.”

“I told you Maxine I’m already taken so stop being desperate!” I growled at her and walked out of the bar.

I was so annoyed I got in my car, which of the things I told her last time did she not understand? It is true that I have not lost my love for her but I will never go back to the person who  once left me. I have Belle now and I don’t want to leave her just because the woman I loved before came back.

I started my car and drove home because I had lost my appetite to drink. If I only knew she was there I would not go to that bar.

I quickly got to the condo because it was just near the bar where I went. When I entered my unit I caught Belle sitting on the sofa.

“Hi babe.” She greeted me.

I walked closer to her. “What time did you go here? Why didn’t you call me?” I asked her after I kissed her on the lips.

“I thought you were already here in your condo so I didn’t call you anymore.” she said while pouting.

“Still, you should have called me when you came here without me.” I promise.

“Where have you been? In the office?” she asked.

“I passed by the bar just to drink a little then went home. Next time call me when you’re here.” I said.

She smiled and hugged me. This is one of the things I liked about Belle being her tenderness and understanding of everything.

“Have you eaten already? I cooked for you.” she said.

“Really? What did you cook?” I asked her.

“Your favorite and of course I also made dessert for you.”

I hugged her tightly. “Can’t you just be my dessert?” I smiled.

She slapped me on the shoulder. “You’re crazy, last time you almost didn’t let me walk anymore.” she said laughing.

I just pulled her into the kitchen to eat.

Maxine POV

I was just stunned until Gian left, I didn’t know I could do that thing but like what other people say that when you love someone you can do anything to get him back.

I know and feel that he still loves me but he is just confused because he is in a relationship with Belle. I do not want to leave him and now that I am back I will do everything just to make him come back to me. They are not married yet and Gian has not told me face to face that he no longer loves me so I will not give up.

I picked up my phone and looked at the picture. I really meant to kiss him to get a picture of it. Call me desperate but this is what I will use so that there is no reason for Gian not to meet me.

“What took you so long?” my friend asked me.

I sat down next to her. “I saw Gian.” my short answer.

“And then?”

“I just talk to him and you know.” I replied

“Don’t tell me you’re doing something silly again?”

I smiled at her. “I told you I won’t just give up the person I love.” I promise.

“But doesn’t he already have a girlfriend? How sure are you that you can get him back?”

“As long as I have a chance to do everything just to get him back I will, they are not married yet.” I said.

“What if he doesn’t really love you anymore?”

“I believe he still loves me because I feel that. He didn’t tell me that he doesn’t have feelings for me anymore.”

“I don’t really get you girl. I’m the one who is feeling nervous about what you are doing. You left him right? Then now you’ll chase him again even if you know that he already loves someone else. I hope that Gian will not get mad at you when he finds out that you are planning something to have him back.”

“Don’t worry about it. I can manage.” I said seriously.
