Trapped In The Arms Of The Billionaire

It’s been a week since me and my brother had already talked and he also returned home.  At first I already told him that I want him to be a Hernandez CEO but he refused it, he chose to manage the rest of our business.Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

And now I’m here in my office with Gian who looks like a zombie who hasn’t slept for a few days.

“What’s your problem?” I asked him,

“She’s back.” He answered.

My forehead wrinkled. “Who? Can you talk to me properly.” I said.

“Maxine.” His short answer.

“Don’t tell me you still have communication with her?” I ask seriously.

He shook quickly. “We just met at a restaurant last time  when I had a meeting with one of my clients.”

“Oh what’s the problem if she’s back? You already have Belle.” I promise.

“She wants me back.”

“W-what? Is Maxine losing her mind? After what she did to you? After she leaves you, she’ll just come back thinking she didn’t do anything wrong?” I said, annoyed.

“I told her I loved someone else but she didn’t want to believe me.”

“Just don’t entertain her. That’s the best way to do it. Just stay away unless you still love her.” I promise.

He didn’t speak so I gasped.

“Looks like I already know the answer.” I added.

He looked at me quickly. “What do you mean?”

“We have been friends for a long time, we are best friends so we already know each other and based on what I observe to you now, you still love Maxine.” I said.

“What? Belle is the one I love!”

“All right believe yourself, I know you love Belle but I also know you haven’t been able to move on with Maxine yet.” I promise.

“But Belle was there at times when my life was miserable because Maxine left me.”

“Exactly! That’s the point Gian. Belle was there when you needed someone to lean on, she didn’t leave you. She helped you get up and fix yourself  again so I’m hoping that you will decide right and don’t hurt Belle. She is your girlfriend and she is our friend” I reminded him.

“I have no intention of leaving and hurting Belle.”

“Better think carefully Gian, you can’t have them both. At the end you will need to choose one and you know that if time comes one will get hurt. Don’t wait until you lose them both before you can decide who you really love.” I said.

Silence prevailed between the two of us inside my office, perhaps my friend was wondering what he should do. I can’t blame him if he still has feelings for Maxine because they have been in a relationship for almost a year but I also can’t forget how Belle will feel when she finds out that Gian hasn’t really moved on yet.

Soon the door opened and Belle entered smiling.

“Looks like the two of you are talking seriously.” she said and walked over to Gian and kissed him on the cheek.

“Nothing serious, it’s just about business.” I answered him.

“Why are you here babe? I thought you were in the office.” Gian asked her.

“Yes, the meeting has ended earlier and I’m here to give these files to Ethan for the Hernandez branch.” Belle replied.

“Did you bring your car with you?” Gian asked again.

Belle shook her head. “No, I didn’t.” Belle replied.

“Anyway Ethan, I heard your brother is back.” Belle turned to me.

I nodded in response. “Yeah, Agatha was the first to see him a few weeks ago I just found out.” I replied.

“So are you both okay?” Gian asked me.

“We both talked about what happened before, we can’t be enemies forever because of Dad’s last wish and we’re still siblings.” I promise.

“That’s good news. I thought you two had no plans to get along after what happened.” Gian said and laughed.

“Nothing will change as much as Dad’s life will not be restored.” I answered.

We talked for a while but we didn’t talk about Maxine anymore because Belle is already here, it’s already difficult and there might be a fight between the two of them.

Soon they said goodbye and left. I was left alone in my office because it was still early and I still had things to finish because we were going on vacation the next day because that’s what Agatha wanted.

I finished signing the documents as well as the one Belle had given earlier and when I was sure I hadn’t missed anything I got up and arranged them.

When I was sure that I had forgotten nothing, I took my suit and told my secretary that I was going home. I will still pick up my wife in Montreal.

While I was driving my phone rang so I quickly picked it up to answer.

“Baby where are you?” my wife’s voice on the other line.

“I’m on my way, are you done?” I answered her.

“Yes, I’m just waiting for you.”

“Alright, I’m close to Montreal.” I said.

“Okay, I’ll just wait.”

“All right, let’s just have a snack so you don’t have to cook at home.” I said.

“Oh go ahead, when are the maids coming back?”

“Tomorrow they will be there again.” I answered and dropped the call.

After 5 minutes I arrived in Montreal and I saw that my wife was waiting at the entrance. When she noticed me she immediately walked and got in the car.
