Laura walked inside the garden with two cups of wine. She cleared her throat before dropping the glass of wine on the table.
“You aren’t getting enough rest lately” she said with a worried face.
“I’m sorry, I just have to wrapped up things before I can have my project verified” he uttered and gulped down the wine at once.
“Wow, he drank it ” she thought and smiled.
“For how long will this project of yours get verified.” She frown and pouted.
“I still need more time, because someone people are trying to stop it from getting it’s verification.” He replied with his hand locked with hers.
“I just miss you” she uttered trying to force tears in her eyes.
“I miss you too baby. I’m sorry for neglecting you, I’m sorry for everything have done to you” he apologized and took her hand. They both rise up from their seats and share a deep kiss together.
Not up to ten seconds, their memorable moment was interrupted.
“Boss” a guy in a black suit called with his head bowed.
“What is it ?” He yelled.
“I’m sorry sir. There’s bad news” The guy said with a shaking mind.
“Bad news. What news ?”
“The new project warehouse was set ablaze. Lorenzo breath became weak when he heard the news.
“Get the f*cking car” Laura screamed with a shaking hands.

“Don’t move” Mason said into the kiss. Meanwhile, Emerson was burning furiously as he staring at the two.
“Get the hell away from her” Emerson screamed and walked fiercely towards them. Mason pulled away from the kiss and move Daphne behind his back.
“Come over here” Emerson said to Daphne.
“You aren’t going anywhere” Mason ordered. Emerson scoffed.
“Seriously, she’s mine” Emerson yelled, which made everyone rush out of his living room.
“What the hell is going on ?” Mrs Ellison asked with a confuse expression on her face.
“Tell Mason to release Daphne this minute” Emerson yelled.
“I’m not going to release her” Mason yelled back with his teeth gritted together. Daphne took steps back as she rubbed her forehead out of frustration.
“You can’t get her just like that. I saw her first” Mason said with an icy voice. Serenity, Trinity and Lucas rushed in. Loud gasp escaped their mouth when they saw the whole drama.
“What’s going on ?” Lucas rushed to ask Allison.
“Emerson and Daphne were betrothed since birth” Olivia replied.
“Sh*t” Serenity caused and stormed her feet on the ground.
“This is going to bad beyond what we are seeing.” Lucas mumbled looking around. He summon courage to walk up to Emerson.
“Stop this Emerson” Lucas whispered.
“Those words aren’t for me” he replied without taking his eye off Lucas.
“Act like a boss in this and not like a brother” he advised.
“Daphne” Emerson called which made her to raise up her head.
“Ahh” she groaned silently as she placed her hand on her head. She stumbled a little before she could balance her feet and made an attempt to walk towards Emerson’s side.
“Is either you choose Emerson or me” Mason said with a gun in his and the other pointing at Emerson.

“I will shoot if you take a step forward” Mason yelled.
“Mason please… Can’t you just understand ? Do you think it’s my choice to be betrothed. It’s fate, I just have to accept it” Daphne yelled out.
“Choose between Emerson and me in the count of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0”
“I’m choosing Emerson” she said with her index finger at Emerson. Mason looked shocked. The gun that was pointing at Emerson fell from his hand, he planned to dropped the other gun that was pointing at the side of his head when his hand mistakely pulled the trigger. His blood spilled on the wall and floor as he fell to the ground.
“Mason !!!!” Everyone screamed. He was shocked, he didn’t had the intention of pulling the trigger, he felt as if something was living his body slowly. Their voices seems distant, he couldn’t feel his hand nor body.
“I’m sorry” he managed to say and stopped breathing.
