Phil’s eyes widened in shock.
“Save my baby,” Sadie begged, cold sweat dripping down her face.
“I’m about to give birth… This is Holden’s child!”
Phil was shocked.
He turned to Enzo, panic evident in his voice.
“Enzo! She’s going into labor! What are we supposed to do?”
Enzo didn’t even blink.
His voice was as cold as ice.
“Just do your job.
”
“Enzo, shouldn’t we get a doctor?” Phil’s voice wavered as Sadie’s desperate cries cut through the space.
“What if she loses the baby? We can’t let her die from a miscarriage.
Mr.
Fredrick said we need to keep her alive.

Enzo glanced at Phil with a look that was hard to read.
“If you do that, whatever happens, it’s on you.

Enzo shook his head and walked away without glancing back.
The news of Ariana’s stabbed by Sadie spread like wildfire, reaching Rodney’s and Catalina’s ears despite attempts to keep it under wraps.
Upon hearing the news, Rodney raced to the emergency room with Catalina by his side.
Outside the ER, they found Holden surrounded by a cadre of black-clad bodyguards.
Lost in fervent prayer for Ariana, Holden failed to notice Rodney’s arrival until one of the bodyguards murmured a reminder, Holden then lifted his gaze.
“What brings you here?” Holden asked, surprised.
He had instructed his people to keep the matter a secret.
The bodyguards, sensing the chill in Holden’s eyes, hastily denied any involvement in the leak.
Rodney’s face darkened at Holden’s words, his usual friendliness toward Holden evaporating.
“My granddaughter is injured,” Rodney said, his eyes boring into Holden.
“As her grandfather, why shouldn’t I be here? But you-tell me the truth.
What’s really going on between you and Sadie? Are you not finished with her? Or do you still harbor feelings for her?”
Rodney’s voice rose, his words sharp as knives.
“It took everything I had to find my granddaughter.
She needs to be treated well.
She has a family backing her up now.
”
Holden’s lips curved into a resigned smile.
“You’ve misunderstood this.
It’s not that I didn’t want you here.
I simply wished to spare you the worry, given your health condition.
As for Sadie, I’ve never had feelings for her.
”
Catalina, her brow furrowed in suspicion, interjected, “If that’s true, then tell us what happened!” Her tone dripped with barely concealed hostility.
She had tried calling Mitchel earlier, but he had not answered the call, so she had reached out to his assistant.
The assistant’s evasiveness had sent alarm bells ringing.
After some pressuring, Catalina got the truth out of the assistant-Ariana had been stabbed.
