Chapter 1783
Her eyes were filled with pain.
Holden’s words cut deeper than any physical blow.
“I showed you mercy, and you squandered it,” he said.
“You have your own purpose and ambition from the very beginning.
Whether you are Helen or Sadie, you have been living with a mask from beginning to end, and underneath the mask is a filthy heart.
Sadie’s eyes widened in disbelief, her world crumbling around her.
How could Holden say that about her? How could he see her like that?
“Theodore, no! You’ve got it all wrong! I did what I did because I loved you!” Tears streamed from Sadie’s eyes as she shook her head vehemently, refusing to accept Holden’s words.
“I’ve always been true, always! I love you more than anything! If you can love that bitch Ariana, why can’t you love me? I’m so much better than her, a thousand times better!”
Sadie knelt on the floor, her pregnant form trembling as she crazily expressed her love for Holden.
However, her words fell on deaf ears as Holden regarded her coldly.
“Sadie, you can’t compare to Ariana at all.
”
The color drained from Sadie’s face.
She looked up, her eyes wide with disbelief.
“Do you love her that much?”
Without skipping a beat, Holden nodded.
“Yes.
”
Jealousy flared in Sadie’s eyes.
“She’s a bitch, a slut!” she spat, her words laced with venom.
“Theodore, Ariana has been with countless men.
She is the filthy one.
Why do you love her?”
Anger flashed across Holden’s face.
He knew Sadie was lying, driven mad by desperation, but he couldn’t stop himself from retorting, “Shut up! Don’t you dare speak about Ariana like that!”
The force of Sadie’s rage proved too much for her fragile body.
She coughed violently, blood staining her lips.
Pain etched itself across her features.
“Theodore, I’m in so much pain,” she whimpered, trying to appeal to his softer side.
“Could you just hold me?”

Holden’s coldness only fueled Sadie’s hatred for Ariana.
Through bloodied teeth, she exclaimed, “Ariana will rot in hell!”
Unable to stomach any more of Sadie’s words, Holden turned to his bodyguard, Enzo.
“Do what you want with her,” he said, his tone icy.
“Just don’t let her escape again.
The fate of her previous guards should serve as ample warning.
I won’t be so merciful next time.
”
Enzo understood all too well what Holden meant.
He had witnessed the grisly fate of the nurses and bodyguards who had accidentally let Sadie escape before.
Thinking of this, Enzo said quickly, “Understood, Mr.
Fredrick.
I won’t let Sadie escape again.
”
As Holden walked away, leaving Sadie crumpled on the floor of the greenhouse, only the guards remained.
Phil Watts, a distant relative of Enzo, stood among them.
He had managed to secure a job with the Fredrick family through Enzo’s influence.
He cautiously approached Sadie, but the moment his eyes fell on the pool of blood surrounding her, he froze.
Before he could react, Sadie’s hand shot out and clamped around his wrist.
