When I left Ethan’s house, I drove to the hospital. I’m going to have a check up now because I’ve been feeling bad for a few days, so it’s better for me to see a doctor so I know if I’m sick or what.

I can’t help but be sad because I know Ethan is angry now and I can’t blame him for why, I know that he was affected by what happened because we’re both his friends.

I just wish that their friendship would not be ruined just because of me. They have been best friends since childhood and even though I am not in their life, they are already friends and I don’t want me to be the reason for them to break up.

When I got to the hospital I quickly got out of the car and went inside because I was able to schedule again and another friend of mine was the doctor.

“Good morning!” I greeted him with a smile when I entered his office.

“Hey Belle you’re here.” he promised me.

I sat in the empty seat facing him.

“So how’s my busy friend?” I’m jokingly said.

“Silly, You know I need money.”

“You have a lot of money but you still need it? You are not married.” I said while laughing.

“More money is better, Anyway, why do you want to have a check up? Are you sick?” he asked.

“Because these past days I’m not feeling well.” I answered him.

“Are you brokenhearted?”

“Crazy! I am not, And I’m serious about what I’m saying. Yesterday I felt dizzy and nauseous.” when I confess to him.

“Actually I was delayed for a month already but I didn’t pay attention to that because I’m irregular so I’m used to having my menstruation delayed once.” I answered him.

“I see, let me check you.” he said and led me to another room.

After he checked me, I went back to where I was sitting while waiting for him. I was nervous about the possible outcome. What if I’m sick?

Soon he went back smiling and holding a paper.

“How’s the result Josh? Am I sick?” I immediately asked him.

“I see it coming, Belle, but it looks like you didn’t think of it.” He said.

“What do you mean? Just tell me directly.” I was annoyed and the idiot just laughed.

“Based on the results, you are healthy and not as sick as you think but you need to be extra careful from now on Belle because you are not alone anymore.”

I frowned at what he said. “Not alone? What do you mean Josh?” I was confused.

“You are one month pregnant Belle.”

I could not speak immediately because of what he said, I did not know how I would react when I heard the news.

“M-me? P-pregnant?” I asked again.

He nodded. “Yes you are, so it’s normal for you to feel nauseous and vomiting because that’s one of the symptoms of a pregnant woman. Not all pregnant women feel that way but mostly.”

I’m pregnant and I’m sure Gian is the father. Why now? Why now when everything is chaotic?

“Are you okay Belle? Why don’t you seem happy to find out you’re pregnant?” Josh asks me.

“It’s not like that Josh, I’m happy because it’s a blessing in my life.” I answered him.

“I think you  have a problem with the father of your child. Gian your boyfriend right?  And I’m sure it’s his.”

I nodded at him. I’m not just Josh’s friend but he is also my cousin and that is why he knows Gian.

“Spill it Belle, what happened? You know you can tell me.” he added, a trace of concern on his face.

“We just had a misunderstanding so I still can’t tell him about the child.” I promise I don’t want to tell him the real reason.

“I see, but you have to tell her about baby Belle because it’s not easy to get pregnant on your own even if you say you have your family.”

I nodded. “I’m not going to hide this matter from him as it’s not yet the right time for him to know so I hope you don’t tell him about this matter.” I beg my cousin.

“If that’s your decision, I’ll give you prescriptions of the medicine you need to take every day and the nutritious foods you need to eat for you and baby to be healthy.”

I didn’t stay long in the hospital and left because I knew Josh had a lot more to do, he even wanted to accompany me but I refused. I know how dedicated he is to his work.

I decided to go straight to the mall first to get groceries and when I bought the things my cousin put on the list of things to eat.

To this day I am still determined not to let Gian know about our baby first, as Josh told me I need to be careful and stay away from stress because my pregnancy is too delicate.

I’m also not sure if Gian will accept it now that his mind is still confused because of Maxine.

I need to avoid him first so that our future child can be saved until everything is in order. I don’t want to risk his life just because of the problem that his father and I have, it’s better for me to deal with it alone first.
