Well..that was totally unexpected…Holy shit. After the meeting, I called an emergency private one with Tristan, Blake, my dad, Glenn, elder Nicolas, and even Finn. Considering he was my best friend and knew what was going on.

“Well, that took a total turn..” Blake said, plopping down on the couch as he sighed heavily.

“I can’t believe it, I would of never put two and two together.” My dad admitted with a disbelieving chuckle.

“It would explain why she has that Alpha presence, considering her bloodline is strong.” Elder Nicolas added. Which really didn’t mean shit to me. Even if she were a rogue I would have loved my Mila.

“So does that mean she is still part of Cresent Moon pack? That might be another way to know if they can communicate with her through their link.” Finn added and I honestly didn’t even think of that..the idea kind of unsettled me..to think they would be able to communicate with her and she has no idea what’s going on. F**K..

“Could be a good indication indeed.” Glenn pondered the idea, shit they can’t try anything until I fill her in. This could get really messy and I can’t afford that again.

“I have to tell her.” I blurted out as everyone looked at me.

“Ro, don’t you think you should wait? What if it isn’t..you don’t want to get her hopes up.” Finn said, and I knew he had a valid point but a part of me knows how poorly I handled the other dad stuff. I swore I wouldn’t keep anything from her again..and this was huge.

“I promised her I wouldn’t keep her in the dark. I have to tell her tonight.” I decided, I knew for a fact if I kept this from her it would hurt her horribly.

“We understand son.” My dad agreed, his gaze knowing and gentle. He knew how hard it was on me last time. No way in hell I wanted to go through that again.

“You know what the most f****d up part of this is? William tried to spin it like he was the victim..like her real dad killed her mom and was going to hunt them down.” Tristan spat the words with anger..he was just as pissed as me about all of this.

“What was up with the model boy too?” Blake said, sitting up straighter now.

“Yeah, the way he was looking at her was definitely odd, like he had just found his mate or something.” Finn added, reaching for a bottle of scotch in the cabinet behind my desk.

“He is the Beta’s son, I get the impression he was supposed to be the next Alpha. If I recall correctly Alpha Nathan would have requested his daughter to choose her mate and it would have been Harry.” Elder Nicolas added. His words making my eyes widen and a pure rage flooded inside of me.

“MINE.” Bain exploded, hearing another man wanted our Mila causing him to f*****g lose it.

Everyone in the room froze like they had just realized I was her mate or something..

“Nobody looks at her, touches her, f*****g smells her..do you understand me?” I seethed through clenched teeth. That possessive feeling ramping up higher than ever before.

“Yes, alpha we understand.” Tristan responded firmly. Blake stared at me with the most serious expression I have ever seen on him. He didn’t dare to utter a single joke, sarcastic comment, or anything besides Yes Alpha.

My dad walked over to me, his hand gripping my shoulder as he tried to calm me.

“Son, we know she is yours, you have mated and marked her. There is no going back from that.” My dad smiled softly and all I could do was clench my fists until Finn brought me a scotch.

I felt Mila trying to reach me, she could feel my distress..she was getting worried and trying to find out what was wrong. I took a deep shuddering breath trying to calm myself before opening our link.

‘Rowan please answer me…I’m on my way up, are you okay?’

She pleaded, her voice frantic and out of breath.novelbin

‘Yes baby, I’m okay, just a heated argument.’

F**k I hated lying to her…I needed to tell her as soon as possible.

‘Do you need me? I am at the elevator.’

She said with a sigh of relief.

‘We are almost done, I will come down in thirty minutes and get you okay baby?’

I hated this…I hated all of this.

‘Okay…I love you, Rowan..’

She spoke softly, her words making my chest ache as the urge to cry suddenly hit me…I don’t even know why. How did this girl strip me so f*****g bare like it was nothing?

‘I love you too..more than anything in this world.’

I felt the guilt bubbling up..this wasn’t good. I needed to tell her as soon as possible.

“Tell me everything you know about Alpha Nathan, please.” I asked Elder Nicolas and he nodded his head. I guess I needed to know who my future father-in-law was.

“I better get your mother up here..” my dad grumbled. Knowing she would be pissed to be left out I just nodded my head, wanting to get this done as soon as possible so I could go see my mate.
