The CEO's Return (Tracy and Alex)

Chapter Nine

Chapter Nine

Alex

I went to Tracy's place every day for over a week but I never saw her, I was really worried about her, I'd

go to her house and wait for hours before going back home or before going to the office but I never set

my eyes on her, it was taking a great toll on me because I miss my wife.

"The people from the company are here sir and the meeting is by 2: 30pm." The manager said and I

sighed.

It was 2 pm and I haven't gone to Tracy's place today, I felt like I was missing out on something, I had

to come to the company earlier because of an urgent meeting, but then I've been delayed ever since

because of one thing or the other.

I had to sign a lot of documents, then there were a lot of contracts I had to go through, it was

exhausting and I needed a break.

"Is that all?" I asked my manager who was still beside me

"No sir, I have the list of applicants, the ones that applied for the position of assistant manager and then

those that applied to be your assistant, I've shortlisted them and you can pick from these." He said

trying to give me a list he was holding but I shook my head

"I can't do that today, you can put it on the table, pick the person you can work with for assistant

manager and as for my assistant, I'd see to it later, go and cross-check if everything we need for the

meeting is ready we can't flop this meeting," I said dismissing him with a flick of my hand.

Tony is a hard worker, he has been singlehandedly managing everything, he has also been acting as

my assistant, he never complained about the workload and I am thankful for that, I made a mental note

to give him a raise and a bonus.

We had a meeting which lasted for 30 minutes, I addressed some more issues and then I escaped as

fast as I could, that's the life of a CEO and I have to live it.

I drove to Tracy's house but before I could get out of the car, I saw a shocker, Tracy my beautiful wife

who looks much more beautiful than the last time I saw her, was hugging a man and then she kissed

him on the cheek, he carried the bicycles while Tracy led two kids inside the house.

At first, I wanted to get out of the car, seize the man by his neck then beat the daylight out of him, but

on a second thought I started connecting the dots, Tracy is now with someone else and they have kids

already.

I was hurt, It was understandable that she wanted to move on, but couldn't she wait until I came back

and sign the divorce papers?, Couldn't she wait?, Like how long had she moved on that she have two

kids already?.

I was so angry that I wanted to come out of the car, drag the man out and punch him hard for stealing

Tracy from me, it hurts a lot.

I drove back to the company, thankfully everyone had gone home, I went to my office, removed my suit

jacket and my tie.

I thought about what I could do, I wanted to talk to Tracy, I wanted to ask her why she broke my heart

like that, but I knew I couldn't, six years is not a joke at all and I knew that I need someone to talk to so

I called James.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Alex my man, what's up?"

"Are you busy? Can you come to my company for a while?"

"Sure I'm free, I'd see you soon." Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

I don't know how long it took for him to get to the company because I was lost in thought but when he

came in I was thankful.

"What's up?" He asked taking his sit in the chair in front of me.

"I'm finished, James."

"What's wrong?" He asked genuine concern visible in his voice

"Tracy."

"What's wrong with Tracy, don't scare me, man."

"Tracy has a man and two kids now," I said feeling my energy draining at each word.

"What?!" He asked the shock was written on his face

"I went there earlier and I saw her, hugging and kissing another man, they eventually entered with two

kids."

"Oh man, I'm so sorry about that, but I can't blame her, you've been gone for six years my man, six

good years, and you said it yourself, you didn't communicate with her, you didn't even give her proper

explanation." He said and I nodded.

"I know, it is my fault but I don't know why I feel betrayed, I feel like going back to that house and

beating the daylight out that guy.

"I don't think that's the right thing to do."

"I know it is not, James what hurts the most is that they look like a perfectly happy family, I should be

there with those kids, and Tracy, I should be there!" I said getting angry.

"I'm sorry man, I am."

"Then do me a favor."

"What is that, I ain't murdering nobody for you man, I don't want to go to hell," James said and I

chuckled he sure knows how to make one laugh.

"Don't worry, I'd try not to make you murder anyone, all I need you to do is help me find out what Tracy

has been doing, I want to know when she came back to Philadelphia, I want to know every single thing,

I want to know when she met that man, I want to know everything," I said and he nodded

"No problem, but that might take a while."

"I don't mind, but try to be fast about it."

"So, what do you want to do? Would you go to the bar with me?, Let's go take some whiskey."

"No thank you, I'd stay here and finish some work."

"Tch, look at you acting like a cool CEO."

"I'm a cool CEO dummy," I replied picking the list of applicants Tony dropped earlier, it's high time I find

a personal assistant, I don't want to overwork Tony.

I was going through the list, but a name caught my eyes, I shook my head to be sure I was not

hallucinating, but it was still there.

Tracy Jones.
