Chapter 1085
Mia was chilling in the backseat, wrapping her arms around her husband with admiration and zero shyness. She planted a kiss on his cheek. "Babe, you're incredible! The teacher wants us to check for plagiarism."
Andre's face was all smiles, his happiness almost bubbling over. "Seems like we passed. Was writing the paper tough?"
Mia nodded. "Tough, but with you by my side, it's a walk in the park!" Her words were as sweet as a kitten's purr.
Andre felt his heart melt at her words.
The sisters were over the moon, not expecting their first draft to be the final one, dodging all the troubles they thought they'd face. They couldn't wait to brag to Leo from the backseat.
Leo was out grabbing dinner with his roommates and missed their messages.
"Leo, thanks a million," Tony kept saying, his gratitude for Leo never running dry, even if everyone else was tired of hearing it.
Later, everyone got the scoop from Tony about Leo's good deeds, and it made their friendship even stronger.
Leo didn't drive over, knowing he'd be sharing drinks with Tony and the gang.
The roommates were rooting for Tony to succeed because having go-getters around inspires everyone to step up their game.
Leo often mused about how people differed. Some folks would do anything to hit their goals, thinking it was a vital skill in any job. Others stuck to their moral compass, avoiding anything shady, even if it meant missing out on opportunities.
Some were envious, wishing their friends well but not too well. Others were genuinely happy, hoping their friends would keep rising because it pushed them to do the same.
Leo smiled, grateful to have friends who were both principled and genuinely happy for each other's success.
He lifted his glass for a toast. "Tonight's dinner is also to share something. I've decided to move out." Everyone was caught off guard and started trying to change his mind. "Why, Leo? We get along so well."
Leo grinned, "We really do, and it's been great sharing a space without any drama. But we can't stay in this bubble forever." Staying too long in one spot, getting comfy with each other's company, can make you lazy. Comfort leads to stagnation, and besides, Ms. Anya's waiting for me.
"I've got a place in Waterlily Village and plan to move in with my partner. Once we're settled, you're all invited over."
The eldest roommate chimed in,
"Leo, I can see you're not like us. You're destined for bigger things. You've got a clear path and goals, and every step you take is purposeful. Among us, you're the
youngest but the wisest.
Meeting you has taught me a lot, and I'm a bit embarrassed. If you're really moving out, I wish you all the success in the world."
Leo clinked glasses again, "Thanks, everyone."
It was that perfect season with gentle breezes and bright sunshine, full of endless possibilities.
The wind gently rustled down the
quiet paths, willows danced by the
river. Trees were budding with fresh
green shoots, and the lush grass carpeted the ground, buzzing with life

Andre was off work, and Chad took the day off too, making the most of the beautiful weather.
Spontaneously, Andre suggested, "I heard there's this place called Bluebell Village nearby with huge fields of canola flowers. Want to check it out?"
With her thesis out of the way, Mia was in a great mood, hugging the back of her husband's chair and cooing, "I'd love to, babe! Let's grab our kid on the way back."
