Chapter 428
Chapter 428
“I’ll drive since it’s really hard to find.” He switched places with me silently. Based on my memory, I
passed through a night bazaar and two alleys before reaching the store. This place served authentic
clay broth, so I parked the car outside and called Eric inside. It wasn’t a big place, but it was still as
clean as I remembered it.
The owner welcomed us with a smile. “What would you like, dear customers?”
“What do you prefer? Crab or shrimp broth?” I asked Eric.
“I will want what you have.”
“Okay, so it’s crab broth”, I told the owner, and he went to prepare my order.
Eric looked around and frowned at me. “This place is not easy to find. You really love to eat.”
“Since it’s at the bottom of Maslow’s hierarchy, my love of food is natural, so don’t look at me like that.”
“I knew you would say that.” He snorted. “You say you love food, but do you even know how to cook?”
“Sure, I can cook.”
“Then I want to have a taste of it.”
“Sure, but you might find your taste… eccentric.”
“What you are saying is your food is inedible.”
In the middle of our fight, our food was served. It smelled really good so I quickly drank it. Yep, it was
hot so I screwed it up quickly.
Eric looked at me with disgust. “Where is your tag?”
Was he complaining about my table manners? “Mr. Walker, you’re a handsome, dashing, well-
mannered man, so why do you love to expose my weakness? We’re having dinner and you have to
complain here? Serious? I wonder what kind of woman can even date you.”
Upon hearing this, Eric was quiet and drank his broth. Even after we broke up, he didn’t say a word to
me. When we left the store, I finally couldn’t take it anymore. “Why are you quiet all of a sudden?”
“I thought you said I’m boring,” he snapped.
“I did not do. You don’t have to be quiet just because of my speeches.”
“So can I talk now?” He looked at me, as I looked back at him.
“All good. Let’s go back.”
He was the driver this time, and when we passed the bazaar, he stopped the car at the side of the
road. “Let’s take a look.” I couldn’t make him change his mind once that was decided, so I went
downstairs with him. He was a handsome man who wore nothing but designer products while I was in
my pajamas, so of course everyone would stare at an odd pair like us.
Feeling weird, I bought a pair of sunglasses. Noticing this, Eric grabbed a brimmed hat and placed it on
my head.
Afterwards, he nodded smugly. “You look great.” This was probably his first time at a night bazaar as he
looked at everything curiously. Every time we passed a new stall he stopped to look. When we reached
a bread stand, he pointed to a meat loaf. “You had this before, didn’t you?” This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
