Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 343 Aren’t You Here to Sleep with Me?

Nydia keenly sensed Jesse’s change of mood and quickly explained, “Jesse, what a coincidence, I’m here in the capital for a business trip, and just happened to book this hotel.”

The people in the elevator got out.

“Mr. Pascall, who is this…?” A woman in professional attire, with delicate makeup and delicate features, stood beside Jesse’s wheelchair and asked with a smile.

“My wife, Nydia,” Jesse replied.

“Hello, Mrs. Pascall, I’m Sienna Gill, here’s my business card.” She handed it to Nydia.

“Hello,” Nydia nodded as a greeting.

“We’re here for a designer seminar.” Nydia said to Jesse.

“Well, we have something else to do, so we’ll go first.” Jesse said lightly.

Nydia and Zane entered the elevator. Zane didn’t say anything, but he was paying attention to Nydia’s expression. Everyone probably noticed Jesse’s cold attitude just now, but he found that Nydia didn’t seem upset.

“Do you know that Jesse is in this hotel?” Zane realized this question since the hotel was chosen by Nydia.

“Sorry, Zane, Jesse and I have some personal matters to attend to, so…” she said embarrassedly, “if this hotel is not easy to reimburse, I will pay for it.”

“It’s okay.”

Zane didn’t say anything else, he guessed it was about the divorce, so he didn’t say much.

Nydia entered the hotel room to organize her things and also sent a message to Vergil:

[Let me know when you’re back at the hotel and tell me your room number.]

[Missus, I can only tell you when you’ll be back. I really can’t tell you the room number. If I did, Mr. Pascall would definitely find out.]NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.

[Okay, thank you. I’ll make you something delicious when I get back.]

Vergil suddenly felt comforted. If there was something delicious, it wouldn’t be so bad if they were found out.

He just looked up and met Jesse’s gaze, and was suddenly startled.

Uh oh, did Mr. Pascall find out?

“Texting your girlfriend?” Jesse asked.

“No, it’s not. It’s my cousin. She’s telling me about my parents’ situation. I haven’t been home in a long time.” Vergil lied nervously.

Jesse didn’t ask again, but that gaze made Vergil feel uneasy.

“Mr. Pascall, is your Missus a designer? What does she design?” Sienna asked.

“Clothes.”

“Can I ask her to design clothes for me?”

“You’ll have to ask her about that. I can’t speak for her.”

“How about we all have dinner together when we have time?”

“Depends on the situation.”

Sienna saw Jesse’s cold attitude towards Nydia and didn’t ask any more questions.

They were about to negotiate a big project recently, a project that both sides were collaborating on, so Jesse, who rarely went on business trips, came to the capital specifically for this purpose.

When Jesse was busy here, Nydia was also busy. They attended a seminar with Zane in the evening, which lasted quite long. When Vergil messaged her that they were on their way to the hotel, they were still in the seminar. So she quickly returned to the hotel as soon as it ended.

She decided not to trouble Vergil and called Jesse directly.

“Hey, which room are you in?”

“Is there something wrong?”

“Jesse, are you trying to back out of our bet?”

“We made a bet, and you’re not getting out of it. I’m sleeping with you tonight!”

He hung up the phone immediately. Nydia was furious when she saw the call was dropped. What did he mean by hanging up on her like that? She called back right away.

“If you dare hang up on me again, you’ll never get it up again!”

“Presidential suite.”

Nydia took her things and went to the door of the presidential suite, where Vergil was waiting for her. He helped her open the door.

When she entered, Jesse wasn’t there.

“Vergil, you can go do something else. I’ll be fine on my own.”

Judging from the sound, Jesse was probably taking a shower. Nydia organized her things and sat down to review the content of the seminar.

When she looked up, she saw Jesse walking towards her in his bathrobe, his wet hair being wiped with one hand. Yes, he was walking!

And he was walking with much less difficulty and clumsiness than before, just slower. He looked much better than before.

“You…” Nydia pretended to be surprised, but she had actually expected this result. It was just a bit faster than she had thought, which showed that Jesse’s physical condition was good and the medicine was absorbed quickly.

Jesse walked to the table and leaned over with both hands on the edge, his damp hair gathering into small droplets but not dripping down. The hotel’s bathrobe was large, and he wore it on the street, exposing his chest and two extended collarbones. Following the collarbones upward was his pale neck, which connected to his jawline, and his wet hair hung casually on his forehead.

The white clothes set off the black hair, with a slightly red mouth, making him look very enchanting, exuding a strong sexual tension, which was completely different from his cold and forbidding appearance in the morning. Nydia couldn’t help swallowing her saliva. Damn charm! The thought of this man belonging to another woman after the divorce made her heart, lungs, spleen, and kidneys tremble in pain.

“Nydia, do you just like my appearance?” Jesse sneered when he saw her infatuated gaze.

“Do you not like my appearance?” she retorted.

Jesse choked and couldn’t answer the question.

“Just you and Zane coming over today?” he straightened up and walked to the sofa on the side, intentionally or unintentionally pulling his robe together, covering his chest and collarbone.

Nydia immediately felt a bit disappointed.

“Well, it was a bit sudden, so we came over.” Nydia answered without mentioning that she came for him. “Did you know that Barclay won’t lend you money?”

Jesse remained silent.

“Are you trying to default?” Nydia glared at him.

“Do you just want to sleep with me?” he asked with a smile.

“We’re getting a divorce soon, so if we don’t sleep together now, when will we?” she replied.

At the mention of divorce, a touch of anger flashed in Jesse’s eyes.

“So you came to J City specifically to sleep with me?” Otherwise, it’s too coincidental.

“…” It was indeed the case, but why did it feel so strange after saying it out loud?

Nydia didn’t answer, she closed her laptop and went to take a shower.

During this time, Jesse lifted his robe to look at his legs. His legs now looked a bit different. They were no longer thin and bony, but had gained some flesh, and the scars had also faded a lot. He felt strange and wondered if it was because of taking a bath. Since Nydia asked him to take baths, he had been doing it regularly, not every day, but at least three or four times a week. There was no other explanation.

He couldn’t help but wonder if he could lift Nydia up with his legs in this state.

While he was lost in thought, Nydia had finished her shower and came out.

He frowned when he saw Nydia’s sleepwear. “Are you going to sleep in that?”

“What’s wrong?” Nydia was puzzled.

“Weren’t you here to sleep with me?”

“…” She finally realized where the problem was. Her idea of “sleeping” with Jesse was completely different from his!

Jesse went straight to her luggage to check.
