Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 341 Be Stern with Scum

Nydia looked at him confused, wondering if he still doubted that she had poisoned the food.

Just as she was about to say, “if you’re afraid to eat it, then don’t,” Jesse spoke up, “eat the cilantro.”

“You’re taking so long to eat a midnight snack. Vergil is much better behaved than you,” she continued.

“Is he?” Jesse laughed, “I deducted one month’s bonus from him.”

Vergil, who was already in the room, suddenly sneezed, feeling a chill run down his body.

Nydia went back to her bedroom to count her money.Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

After her rebirth, she had put the money her parents left her into fixed deposits and invested in the stock market. Currently, she had one hundred and fifty million in fixed deposits, which she didn’t want to touch unless it was a special situation. It was a sentiment her parents had left her with. She had less than two million in liquid assets because the initial investment in the restaurant and film crew was not small. On top of that, she donated five million for the flood disaster. However, she believed that she could earn it all back slowly. She wouldn’t disgrace her parents and would continue their glory.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of her phone ringing.

It was a call from the owner of the pillow store.

“Hello, is there good news?” Nydia answered.

“Yes, good news. Didn’t you ask us to have the anchor wear the clothes you provided during the live broadcast? Many people asked for the clothing link, and we told them that the designer designed it and there is currently no link. They want us to put it up.”

“Do you want to sell clothes?”

“We talked about it before we called you, and we think it’s entirely possible. After all, we’re like a general store, and we decided to redesign the store into several different areas.”

“Thank you, Alicia.” Nydia felt that she had met many good people since her rebirth.

“I have to thank you too. You’ve helped us expand our sales. The pillows, blankets, and scarves you designed are all very popular.”

“Then you can first put up a presale link and see how it goes, and then we can go into production.”

“Okay.”

After hanging up the phone, Nydia called Theo.

When the phone was answered, Theo’s standard opening was, “Miss, what can I do for you?”

This would have been a dead end in the past!

“I want to start a fashion brand. Do you have any ideas?”

“If you want to start, we’ll start.”

Nydia covered her forehead, there was really nothing to negotiate. Whatever she wanted to do, Theo would support her.

“We’ll start by selling online and open offline stores when the time is right.”

“Okay.”

“We’ll start with a small clothing factory, we don’t need too many people, after all, our initial sales volume is definitely not large.”

“If you have any ideas, just tell me, and I’ll execute them.”

Nydia and Theo discussed the clothing brand, but for now, it’s still in its early stages, and the follow-up work needs to be finalized slowly.

Now Theo’s skincare products are doing very well, already one of the top domestic brands, coupled with his handsome looks and many fans, it has a bit of a fan culture feel.

Before going to bed, Nydia quietly messaged Vergil: [What time are you leaving tomorrow morning?]

Vergil replied: [We have to leave before seven.]

Vergil continued: [Missus, please don’t ask me.]

He’s in a difficult position!

On one side is the boss who pays his salary, on the other is the boss’ wife, he’s in a difficult position and feels like he’s caught in the middle!

The next morning, Nydia got up early to make breakfast.

By the time Vergil and Jesse finished washing up and packing, it was already time to eat.

“Eat breakfast before you go,” Nydia told them.

Jesse glanced at Vergil and asked Nydia, “Why is breakfast so early?”

“I have something I need to do at the company today.”

Hearing this, Vergil breathed a sigh of relief, but before he could fully exhale, he choked.

“Vergil, come and eat,” Nydia called to him. He froze, subconsciously looking at Jesse, whose expression suddenly turned cold.

Missus, spare me, I want to live a few more years!

Vergil was nervous and quickly finished his breakfast before taking his luggage out to the car.

“Here, take this,” Nydia handed him a peace charm. “I got it when I was at the temple, you can wear it.”

“I don’t need it!”

From the way he looked, she could tell he was still angry about her making him eat. She didn’t want to waste time arguing with him, so she stood up and quickly pulled his tie to bring him closer.

Then she quickly stuffed the peace charm into the pocket of his suit lining.

If Jesse hadn’t buttoned up all the buttons on his shirt, she would have wanted to stuff it directly into his shirt collar.

“Don’t take it out!” she ordered sternly.

Jesse didn’t look too happy, but she didn’t take the peace charm out.

Obviously, sometimes this man can be both soft and hard. After finishing his meal and preparing to leave, he noticed Nydia had been looking at him the whole time.

“What are you looking at?” he asked.

“You look so handsome in your suit,” Nydia said. To her, it seemed like suits were made specifically for Jesse. He was always impeccably dressed, with his shirt, tie, and suit jacket all exuding a strict, aloof, and intimidating aura. It made people want to tear away that facade and see his true self.

Jesse rolled his eyes at her and left.

Nydia continued thinking about Jesse at the dining table. Based on his appearance alone, Jesse was really impeccable, especially once his leg had healed. She wondered who would benefit from their divorce.

She had a change of heart. Instead of seeing Jesse as a husband, she saw him as a friend. This way, she could avoid feeling so miserable and their interactions would be more harmonious. She didn’t want things to end badly with Jesse, as an amicable separation was more appropriate.

“Mommy!” their two children woke up.

“Come and have breakfast,” Nydia said.

“Is Sherry coming to school today?” she asked Tavish.

He shook his head. “No, she hasn’t been to school since that day. The teacher said she was injured and in the hospital.”

It seemed the car accident was quite serious.

Nydia went to work at the company.

During a meeting, they mentioned a designer symposium and needed to send one designer to attend.

“We’re a bit pressed for time for this symposium. It’s happening tomorrow, so we need to send someone to the capital this afternoon. Who wants to go?” the speaker said.

Nydia wasn’t interested at first, but the moment she heard “the capital,” she got excited.

“I’ll go!”

“I want to go!” Taylor and Nydia almost said it at the same time, then looked at each other.

Jessie, with your background, you don’t need these kinds of opportunities. Why not let me have this one?” Taylor said, putting Nydia on a moral cross.

“I actually need this opportunity,” Nydia said apologetically.

Normally, she wouldn’t care about this opportunity, but Jesse was going to the capital. She was still thinking of an excuse to go, and now it was handed to her on a silver platter.

“Jessie, why not give this opportunity to Taylor?” the supervisor said hesitantly. This was because Mr. Malone had mentioned that Taylor should be the one to attend.
