Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 215

Jesse was about to leave, but he was stopped by Cade.

“Now that Nydia is your money tree, you better treat her well,” Cade warned Jesse.

“That’s for sure. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have been so anxious to adopt her,” Jesse replied.

Cade’s face turned white, then he snorted coldly, “It’s good to dare to think and do as a young person, but don’t be too greedy. Otherwise, not only will the snake not be able to swallow the elephant, but it will also be trampled to death by the elephant!”

“I also have a message for you, Mr. Malone. You shouldn’t rely too much on your age. Otherwise, you might accidentally fall and an old man can’t take falls,” Jesse added before leaving with Vergil.

Cade was furious and cursed for a while before calming down.

As Jesse left the teahouse, Barclay received a message, allowing them to prepare well. There were no traffic jams on Jesse’s route home, and they were waiting for him on the way.

Based on Barclay’s understanding of Jesse, he was a goal-oriented person with OCD. His route home was always the same unless there was a major traffic jam.

This time, Barclay bet that Jesse wouldn’t go to the company and would go straight home. If he lost, there would always be next time, no rush.

Jesse sat in the car and looked at Albi’s information, trying to understand his preferences. Taking Albi to visit the company tomorrow was an important task.

He looked up at the night sky outside and suddenly said, “Turn right at the intersection up ahead and go to the Ink Cake Shop.”This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Vergil was a little surprised. Why did the CEO suddenly want to go to a cake shop? Were they going to buy cakes for the two kids to eat? They should be asleep by the time they got home.

The driver turned and arrived at the cake shop. Jesse bought three small cakes. Due to the change in the route, the driver chose a different way back, causing Barclay to wait for Jesse’s car to show up for a long time.

When Jesse arrived home, Barclay found out that Jesse had changed his route and felt unlucky. He believed that Jesse had been lucky tonight and didn’t think he would be so lucky next time.

The house was quiet with only the lights on, but no one was around, making Jesse frown unhappily. Normally, he would see Nydia sitting on the sofa with a smile on her face as soon as he walked in.

Vergil put the two cakes on the table, and Jesse carried one himself.

“Sir, it seems like your wife and the kids have already gone to bed,” Vergil said.

As soon as he spoke, he received a cold, indifferent look from Jesse.

If they were all asleep at ten o’clock, it wasn’t surprising at all.

“You can go now,” Jesse said with a tone of disdain.

Vergil: Fine, then he’ll leave!

Three cakes were bought, but no one was eating them. How frustrating!

As he was about to leave, Nydia’s voice rang out, “Jesse, you’re back.” Her voice was light and cheerful.

“Oh, what did you buy? Cakes? Why did you buy so many?” She walked over and pointed to the largest of the three cakes.

“For Molly and Travis.”

“What about this?” Nydia pointed the larger one.
