Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 132

Jesse controlled the wheelchair and went over, bending over to hold her waist and help her up.

She leaned on him, making a “hiss” sound in her mouth. Her knees couldn’t straighten and were very painful.

“You should take care of Nydia more often. Look at her delicate appearance. Jesse will be worried.” Rosalind looked very unhappy at Nydia’s appearance.

Just kneeling for a while, now she’s lying on Jesse and can’t get up? It’s obviously intentional.

“What are you still standing there for? Go and help Nydia up.”

The servants hurried over to help Nydia up. Nydia stood up, but she knew her knees wouldn’t look good even though she was wearing long pants.

Jesse glanced at the confession letter on the coffee table.

“Mom, did Molly teach you to always make me write confession letters?”

“What? Did Molly make you write confession letters?” Rosalind was surprised.

“Sometimes when I’m angry at her or when I don’t do what I promised, she makes me write a confession letter.”

Rosalind was choked for a while and didn’t know what to say. She could only smile and say, “So, you can’t fool kids. You have to take it seriously. You should learn from your mistakes and not write them again.”

“It’s because you taught Molly to make me write confession letters. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have to write them. Will Molly make me kneel and write again next time? I can’t kneel with these legs.”

Rosalind’s face instantly turned pale, and her muscles trembled slightly with anger.

She didn’t speak for a while, the breath stuck in her chest like a burning fire, which would explode if she couldn’t control it.

Her rapidly rising blood pressure made her head ache severely.

But she was still forcefully suppressed by her.

“Molly is a good child who is considerate, just like you,” said Rosalind, smiling at Nydia who was sitting in the chair. Nydia felt a sting in her heart.

Rosalind then gave another smile and looked at Nydia, “Didn’t you say before that you can cook and your cooking is good? Let me taste it today.”

Nydia met her gaze and knew that today was a showdown between her and her mother-in-law. However, before she could speak, Jesse spoke first, “I don’t want to eat her cooking.”

Rosalind was so angry that she wanted to beat Jesse, but she held back. How could he defend Nydia like this? Did he forget the harm Nydia had done to him before?

“Then you can eat the chef’s food, and I’ll eat hers,” she insisted that Nydia cook this meal today.

“Aren’t you afraid she’ll poison you?” Jesse’s voice became cold, apparently angry with Rosalind’s behavior today.

Just when Rosalind couldn’t stand it anymore and was about to reprimand Jesse, Nydia spoke up to ease the tension. “Mom, you don’t come often. Let me cook for you. Just tell me what you like and I’ll see if I have the ingredients in the kitchen. If not, I can’t make it. It’s too late to go out and buy now. I’m afraid you’ll be hungry.” She explained everything in one breath, leaving Rosalind no room to criticize her.

“Just make whatever you can,” Rosalind agreed.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

“Okay, I’ll go now.” Nydia hobbled towards the kitchen with stiff and painful knees. She knew she had to get through today with Rosalind and ease her guilt.

The living room suddenly became quiet. Neither Rosalind nor Jesse spoke. But Rosalind underestimated her son’s aura. She was out of breath.
