Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 130

“What’s that expression on your face?” Rosalind was angry!

She pointed at Nydia and said angrily, “What’s with your attitude? Just because my son likes you, you think you can be so arrogant? You don’t even care about me, your mother-in-law?”

“Mom, did you come here today just to pick a fight with me?” Nydia asked, looking at her.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

“Pick a fight? Do you think I have nothing better to do? I just came to see if you’re causing any drama!”

“You can ask the servants if I’m causing any drama, they definitely won’t be on my side.”

Nydia’s straightforward manner made Rosalind uncomfortable. She had come to inspect and see if she could catch Nydia doing something wrong, but she didn’t find anything, which made her even angrier.

She always felt that her son and Nydia being together would cause trouble.

“Come over here, let’s talk.” Rosalind calmed down and decided to have a good chat with this unruly girl.

Nydia followed her over, and the two of them had a conversation in the living room.

“Tell me, what do you want?” Rosalind leaned back on the sofa, her eyes revealing disgust as she stared at her as if she could see through her. “World peace.”

“Nydia!” Rosalind shouted, and though Nydia wasn’t scared, it scared the servant who was waiting on the side.

“Mom, calm down. Getting angry is not good for your health. Don’t worry about Jesse and me. We will be happy together for a long time, until we grow old.”

Seeing Rosalind’s face turn unpleasant, Nydia guessed that she was about to swear.

But after years of training, Rosalind managed to hold it in.

“You wanted a divorce before, and now you’re not getting a divorce? What’s going on?”

“I’ve figured it out. I have an excellent husband and two lovely children. Why would I want to divorce? I was foolish before, but after drowning, the water in my brain flowed into the lake, and now I’m clear-headed.”

Rosalind felt that Nydia was just talking nonsense.

Looking at Rosalind suddenly calming down and her eyes flashing, Nydia felt a pang of unease and had a bad feeling.

Rosalind had been through a lot in her life, and although she could be impulsive for her son, she wasn’t stupid. As long as she calmed down a bit, she knew how to deal with Nydia.

“You want to be with Jesse now, don’t you?”

“Yes.”

“So what about things you’ve done in the past?” Rosalind’s gaze was meaningful, with a slight curve at the corner of her mouth as she leisurely sipped her tea.

“To err is human, to forgive divine. Making mistakes is not terrible, as long as you correct them, right?”

Rosalind snorted, “Making mistakes definitely comes with a price, don’t you think? Otherwise, the cost of making mistakes would be too low, wouldn’t it? Besides, if you don’t pay a price, how do I know you’ve corrected yourself?”

“Mom, what should I do then?” Nydia knew she couldn’t escape today, Rosalind was definitely going to embarrass her.

But instead of answering directly, Rosalind instructed the butler, “Jeff, bring paper and a pen, preferably a bigger sheet of paper.”

“Missus, here are the paper and pen,” Jeff said as he placed them on the tea table.

“Nydia, since you know you’ve made a mistake, write a two-thousand-word self-criticism essay.”

Upon hearing this, Nydia breathed a small sigh of relief. Although two thousand words were difficult to write, at least she could do it.

However, Rosalind’s next sentence instantly made Nydia’s heart sink.

“Write it on your knees, and don’t stop until you’re finished.”

“Mom, don’t you think your request is a bit excessive?” Nydia frowned and asked.

“If you think my request is excessive, you can choose not to write it. I don’t mind. It’s up to you.” Rosalind picked up a pastry from the tea table and took a bite before taking a sip of her tea, appearing particularly relaxed and content, in stark contrast to Nydia’s pale and grim expression.
