Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 123

Tavish, who was standing not far away, slightly raised his lips. Mommy wouldn’t ignore him now that she was concerned about Molly.

“I’m very well-behaved. I didn’t bully my brother. We love each other!”

“Well-behaved indeed!” Nydia kissed Molly’s cheek. “Has Daddy come home yet?”

“Daddy hasn’t come home yet.”

He still hasn’t come home.

She sent him a message:

[When will you come home?]

No reply.

Thinking about when Jesse hung up on her earlier, could he still be angry? She called Vergil.

“Hello, Missus.”

“Where’s Jesse?”Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

“Boss is busy.”

“In a meeting? Entertaining guests?”

Vergil thought for a moment and glanced at the closed office door. “Yes, Boss is entertaining guests.”

“Vergil, you’re not lying to me, are you?”

“… No, why would I lie to you, Missus?”

How did Nydia know that he was lying?

After Nydia hung up the phone, she called Jesse. She knew from Vergil’s hesitation that he was lying to her. Jesse wasn’t in a meeting or entertaining guests. He was probably dealing with something in his office.

The first call went unanswered.

The second call was still unanswered.

Finally, on the third call, he answered.

“Hello.” His voice had returned to its usual low tone.

“You finally answered the phone. Are you that busy?”

“What do you want?” His voice was icy.

“I miss you. When will you come home?”

“…”

“Should I come pick you up from the company?”

“I’ll be home in an hour.”

“Okay, bye.”

Nydia hung up the phone.

Jesse frowned at his phone screen.

An hour later, Jesse appeared at home, surrounded by a low-pressure atmosphere that made people hesitant to approach him. Nydia wasn’t as afraid, and she had prepared some stomach-soothing porridge.

“You go take a shower first. You can have the porridge when you come out.”

Vergil looked at Nydia and stood at the bedroom door, waiting.

About ten minutes later, Nydia appeared in the bedroom, looking inexplicably guilty. “When Jesse is done showering, take him to the dining room.”

“Missus, it depends on Master’s wishes,” Vergil didn’t agree.

“Oh? It seems that in your eyes, I have no status at all. You lied to me, and now you don’t even care about Master’s health.”

Nydia’s eyes instantly darkened as she stared coldly at him. “Are you a spy lurking around him?”
