Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 101

“Let’s go, let’s go home.” She pushed Jesse’s wheelchair.

Vergil watched and became more and more confused. Did Nydia really have a change of heart? Was she being nice to her husband now? But he remained cautious and kept an eye on Nydia, afraid that she would cause trouble when he wasn’t paying attention. Such incidents had happened before, so he couldn’t let his guard down.

Jesse got into the car and the wheelchair was put in the trunk. Nydia sat beside Jesse.

She casually touched Jesse’s forehead, but he grabbed her hand and pulled it away.

“What are you doing? Is your forehead made of gold and can’t be touched? You’re getting all heated up.”

Vergil almost laughed out loud, but he held it in. He couldn’t laugh.

“Vergil, did you check Boss’s temperature? You’re just going to let him burn up like this? Are you planning a coup?”

“No, no, I’m not thinking that way.”

Vergil was startled. How did it turn into a coup? Nydia’s words were too sharp today. “I checked and it’s 38. 9 degrees Celsius.”

“Oh, so it’s not a fever unless it’s over 39 degrees Celsius?”

“…” Enough, Madame, I was wrong! Even if I have to tie Boss up, I’ll take him to the hospital!

“Okay, I know my own body.” Jesse said coldly.

Nydia snorted, “You know nothing!”

The car suddenly spun out, and Nydia bumped into Jesse’s arms. Her nose hurt from the impact.Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

“Boss, I’m sorry!” Vergil immediately stabilized the car, silently praying in his heart: I can’t hear anything, I can’t hear anything.

“Drive carefully!” Jesse sat back down, his face gloomy.

“Nydia, you really want to stage a coup, don’t you?” Nydia rubbed her nose.

“I don’t! Don’t say that!”

Returning to the Pascall Villa, Vergil breathed a sigh of relief, glad that they had arrived safely. He had been on edge throughout the entire journey.

Watching Nydia and Jesse, Vergil couldn’t help but wonder if his wife was planning to get rid of him from Boss’s side. Without a trusted confidant, wouldn’t Boss be at Nydia’s mercy? The more he thought about it, the more anxious he became. He realized that he needed to be more careful and not give Nydia any reason to doubt him, or else Boss would be in danger.

Nydia checked Jesse’s temperature. “It’s already 39 degrees. Let’s go to the hospital.”

“I’m not going,” he refused coldly.

“What if your fever affects your brain? What about the big company? Tavish is still young and can’t take over.”

“… What’s going on with this woman today?” Jesse thought.

“Then let’s call Vincent.”

“I’m not calling him.”

“… Is she throwing a tantrum?” Jesse had already maneuvered his wheelchair to his room, and Nydia rushed after him. When Jesse was about to close the door, Nydia blocked it.

Their eyes met, and Nydia saw the red blood vessels in Jesse’s eyes, as well as his exhausted but determined look. Her heart softened.

She squatted down and coaxed him softly, “If you’re not going to the hospital or calling Vincent, can we at least take some fever-reducing medicine? Let’s take some medicine, okay?”
