Qin Muxuan opened her eyes and only saw darkness. As she breathed in the cold air, she felt everything was unfamiliar and soon was overwhelmed by a sense of loneliness. Then she remembered the packages and those mean words, feeling deeply hurt.

To Yin Youting’s surprise, Yin Tiancheng spoke first after remaining silent for a while,

“Have a bite of the apple first. Only in the morning are you able to eat the porridge.”

Qin Muxuan took small bites of the apple one after another and said,

“Gu Zijin, can I go back later?”

Then she reached out her hand and tried to cover Gu Zijin with her quilt. However, as she moved her hand which had a needle injected in, she felt a stabbing pain from the back of her hand right away. She couldn’t help inhaling slightly. Gu Zijin was sensitive and opened his eyes immediately. Seeing the pale face of Qin Muxuan, he frowned and said worriedly,

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing. I pulled the needle by accident. It hurts a bit.”

Qin Muxuan hid her hand behind her back, feeling a bit bashful. Only when Gu Zijin called the nurse in did she take out her hand. Then the nurse took down the empty infusion bottle and applied a band-aid on the back of Qin Muxuan’s hand.
