Chapter 48
Chapter 48
Zeph swiftly sat at the back of the sports car. It was just enough to fit in his small body, leaving Vivianna to sit in the passenger seat.
Zeph was excited, "Yeah, let's go!"
The way Augustine drove was very gentleman and alluring. He had stable yet elegant control. Vivianna subconsciously glanced at him a few times, with her heart thumping wildly.
The scene of being kissed by him on the previous night popped out on her mind involuntarily, which made her turn her face to the window. She didn't want him to catch the bewitched look in her eyes.
Augustine's car stopped at the gate of her company. It was working hours. Many of the employees went to work by taxi. How Augustine parked his car at the gate looked just like a gangster's barbaric way, which attracted a lot of sights.
When Vivianna got off the car, there were various gawking eyes from her colleagues, causing her pretty face to heat up. She quickly took her bag and rushed in. She even forgot to say goodbye to Zeph.
Augustine took Zeph to his company.
That whole zone was a new city area. It had just
been for less than three years. Lambert Enterprise also occupied a piece of land in that area. However, if we were referring to the extent of being majestic and magnificent, nobody could overpower the Giltstone Enterprise.
That day, Xenophilius Lambert was driving to work with Jessamyn Salaway beside. She wore a luxurious dress, which looked elegant yet sexy. Along the whole journey, Xenophilius was surprisingly quiet.
That made Jessamyn feel a little strange, "Xenophilius, what's wrong? What happened?"
Xenophilius was looking ahead, seemingly considering if he should talk it out.
"Jessamyn, I'll talk to you about it later. I hope you won't be angry." NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
"Tell me, there's no way I would be angry!" Jessamyn looked at him sweetly.
Xenophilius pulled over to the side and turned to face Jessamyn. "I met Vivianna at a restaurant yesterday."
Jessamyn's eyes widened. She pretended to be surprised, "Vivianna Carlewood? Why was she there?"
"I'm sure it's her. She's back." Xenophilius nodded solemnly.
"What does it have to do with us if she came back?" Jessamyn asked nonchalantly.
Xenophilius fell into silence for a moment before continuing, "Back in those days, I obtained the position of President because of the 15% of the shares I got from her father. Because of that 15% she'd contributed, I was able to bring up the middlesized enterprise to the own a market value of nearly 30 billion dollars today."
Jessamyn sensed a hint of guilt in his voice, her face sank, "Xenophilius, what do you mean? Are you planning to return that 15% of shares to her?"
Xenophilius's face changed slightly. He shook his head and spoke, "The 15% of stock are no longer as worthy as much as it was. However, I'd like to give her some compensation."
"Xenophilius, do you think she will forgive us for what we did? Even if you did give her, she may not want it. Why would you do so?" Jessamyn persuaded. She, of course, knew that Vivianna had
returned, she also knew where she was! Even so, she didn't expect that her husband to bump into Vivianna.
Did she do that on purpose? Did she deliberately make her husband feel guilty for her? Did Vivianna come back for revenge? A hint of viciousness flashed across Jessamyn's eyes.
"But I could at least give her some compensation. For example, I could give her a sum of money that would spare her whole life." Xenophilius sighed. His mind was filled with the shocking appearance of Vivianna on the previous day. He didn't expect that she would change so much in four years that he couldn't recognise her.
"No, if you compensate her, it would mean that we admit what we'd done. She deserved it anyway. We must hold onto the fact that she'd cheated. Xenophilius, don't worry about her anymore, okay?" Jessamyn held his hand, her beautiful eyes were begging expectantly.
"The problem is that I don't even know where she is now." Xenophilius seemed to be frustrated about the fact that he didn't ask for her number on the previous day.
Jessamyn felt her heart froze. She scoffed, "It's better if you don't know. Save yourself some trouble. You should go to the company! I'll be shopping nearby."
Jessamyn pushed the door open and got off the car. Xenophilius continued to drive forward. Jessamyn's eyes fell on the office building not far away. It was where Vivianna's company was located. She gritted her teeth and huffed with resentment, "Vivianna, I don't care what you came back for. I won't let you ruin my family."
After that, Jessamyn called a taxi. She was going to meet that woman again.
At that moment, Vivianna was starting to do the sketching of another design. She was serious and attentive to details when it came to work, so her products were very well praised and welcomed.
However, there were rumors about her in the company that day. Winslow bore the responsibility in updating her. After hearing that, Vivianna merely gave a wry smile. She didn't care about those gossips.
Meanwhile, in the Giltstone Enterprise, Zeph was following his father. Augustine had an early meeting and brought Zeph with him. Zeph sat next to him. All the seniors at presence were amazed as Zeph looked exactly like his father.
Zeph didn't throw a tantrum or whatsoever. He just looked at how his father handled his company affairs expertly. His face was full of worship, 'Daddy is so amazing! I want to manage a big company like daddy.' Zeph thought.
Twenty minutes later, Jessamyn stood in front of Viviannna's office building. She walked in with an arrogant face.
Everyone in the company knew who she was so no one stopped her when she was barging in.
Vivianna was drawing in the office. Winslow
knocked on her door and came in, "Miss Carlewood, Mrs. Lambert is here."
Vivianna frowned, 'What is Jessamyn here for? Did she want to change the design again?'
Linda, who had received the news, greeted Jessamyn. However, Jessamyn was coming for Vivianna. She said to Linda, "Ms. Carlewood will serve me. I'll wait for her in the meeting room. Bring me a cup of coffee."
After Jessamyn obtained the title as Mrs. Lambert, she had gotten more familiar in giving out orders. Just like how in that moment, even Linda, the manager, was treated like a maid.
Vivianna came out of the office and looked at Jessamyn coolly, "Mrs. Lambert, is there anything else that you want to change?"
"Let's talk." Jessamyn looked at her with a sneer.
"If it's a personal matter, I have no time. If it's something business-related, I can tend to you."
"Business." Jessamyn, of course, did not want to talk to her there. She strode toward the conference
room.
Vivianna frowned and followed behind.
When they arrived at the meeting room, the assistant brought two cups of coffee in, closed the door and left.
Jessamyn crossed her arms and turned to warn Vivianna coldly, "Vivianna Carlewood, stay away from Xenophilius."
