“Alpha Axel” Davis ran into the room.

“What’s the urgency? And it would better be urgent this time around cause I have no time for minor issues” Axel’s temperament had definitely turned worse over the weeks.

“The pack is under attack!”

Axel shot up from the chair, his eyes turning red.

“What stupid pack dares to?”

“The Green Moon Pack….”

“He really chose the wrong time in my life to come. I am killing him today” his voice deepened with anger as he already walked towards the door.

“He is not the only one”

“Who else?”

“There is also….” Davis stopped.

“Would you fucking stop hesitating?! You just said we are under attack!”

“There is also Hazel. She is with him.”

His darkened face seemed to suddenly gain some light and his overall aura seemed to soften as soon as her name was called but then when he remembered the look on her face when she killed his father and how much she had been terrorising his people, his face darkened once more.

“An enemy is an enemy” he muttered, his anger suddenly rising to the very brim of him.

“Open up the weaponry and let the unshifted soldiers get the weapons. I’m getting rid of those two bastards today” his jaws clenched as well as his fists.

“Yes, Alpha” Davis showed his obedience.

Axel walked out of the room completely, storming off.

“Mother!” Rex screamed out excitedly as he ran down the stairs.

“What is going on?” She asked.

“It is finally here! Hazel and Alpha Damien are finally here! They are attacking! The war is here!” He was clearly ecstatic about the war after all if meant that his position as the Alpha was closer to him.

“I told you it is only a matter of patience” his mother grinned, getting up from the mattress that Rex had smuggled in for her.

He had also cut off the chains for her.

“It is time, mother. Let’s go out and watch the beautiful moment when the lovers would fight each other. I would not miss the scene for anything in the world” he grinned.

“Congratulations, Son. You are finally going to become what Donald thought you were never going to become, you are going to be the Alpha of the Pack” she pulled him into a hug.

They walked out of the dungeon and headed out to witness their great victory.

As Axel got to the entrance of his mansion, he let his wolf side take over and he let out a loud howl alerting every other wolf of the attack.

His loud howl reverberated through the pack and in a matter of seconds, all wolves that were around had gathered behind him.

With a low growl, he charged out of the place with the multitude of wolves behind him. The nearer he got to where Hazel and Damien were, the clearer he could hear the groans and growls of pain of the wolves of his pack who were being killed.

He felt his anger growing the more and his speed increased as he tore into the crowd of the attacking army, pulling each and every one his hands could reach apart.

The most unlucky thing in the pack that day would have been to come in front of him as he tore and bit off the flesh of anyone in front of him with no mercy.

Hazel also proceeded through the multitude of wolves, killing any and every dark wolf that she could come in contact with.

Memories ran through her mind, memories of white wolves suffering in the hands of dark wolves, memories of herself almost being killed by Axel.

She let out a louder growl, grabbing the wolf in front of her and tearing him off with her claws before dumping him on another approaching wolf.

Her main target was not these tiny and average wolves. Her main target was him, the man that she had once loved.

She continued to pull through, killing until she finally met face to face with him.

She stopped in her tracks and he stopped too. The both of them stared at each other, their wolves panting heavily.

His eyes were red and terrifying and his paws were stained with the blood of the wolves he had killed. His wolf was significantly bigger and Hazel thought that he must have grown, having had his energy to himself after she left him.

The thought of it angered her the more and her bloodied fangs displayed as she growled out her anger.

Memories of their sweet moments together flashed through her mind but it all made her more angry.

After everything, he had betrayed their love just to get to this position. Now, she was going to make sure that he would not last long on that position.

Every other wolf seemed to have stopped fighting to watch the two of them. A lot of them knew about the romance of these two. The dark wolves and white wolves had known about it since they were little and the Green Moon Pack had known about it when Axel had fought to get her back from Damien and it was no surprise that everyone had stopped to watch the two once lovers fight with each other.

Axel suddenly found it hard for him to attack her. He knew he was supposed to hate her so much and kill her instantly but it was not as easy as he had been thinking. He could not believe the reluctance in his legs to move towards her but that reluctance came to an end when she made the first move, jumping towards him.

Axel quickly rolled out of her way making her roll into the dust but she quickly regained her stance and charged towards him. She had promised herself to get this over and she was not going to let her emotions take over and ruin that resolution.

But Axel again, simply avoided her attack and the dark wolves growled out their displeasure. They hated that their Alpha had a soft spot for someone who was clearly their enemy.

In their anger, they charged at the others once more and the fight resumed. Growls, groans filled the air.

Axel continued to avoid her attacks and when he attacked, his attacks were subtle because still yet, inside of him was that part that thought of her as his pretty head and not a ferocious wolf that was now his enemy but he very well knew that he had to change his thinking and he had to do that fast.

He growled at her and Hazel growled right back at him. The both of them studied each other’s movements first before Axel jumped on her and pushed her to the dust.

In that moment, he had the absolute chance to get rid of her. He only had to bury his blood stained claws inside of her furry body and pull out her heart but with his paws raised up and his eyes staring into hers, he found that he could not do that.

In that single moment of weakness, Hazel’s power took over and her wolf suddenly levitated in the air, throwing Axel a few meters away.

Axel however got back on his feet quickly and he was just as shocked as every other person to see Hazel’s wolf levitated in the air but there was only a few seconds for him to be shocked as Hazel charged towards him furiously, her eyes taking a totally white color.

Her speed could not be matched and she could hardly be seen running through to Axel and the next thing that happened was a loud howl, a loud howl of pain as her sharp claws tore through his neck, a loud howl which was probably his last alive.
