Every single person in the fight stopped as soon as they heard that howl of pain but Hazel was not done as her fang buried right into his neck where her claws had just ruthlessly torn.

Axel let out another loud howl and then shifted back into his wolf form with pains written clearly on his face.

Hazel suddenly fell backwards as soon as his blood touched her tongue. It was more like she was falling into a trance as she shifted into her human form.

Her hands on their own will grabbed the hands of Axel but her eyes remained white and then, suddenly she had a clearer vision to things.

The one who had tried killing her was not Axel, it was Rex. The one who had framed her for the death of his father was not Axel, it was Rex. She could suddenly see all of it playing in front of her eyes and almost immediately, tears began to gather in her eyes as she realized that everything, every single thing that had torn them apart to this point was not the doing of Axel, everything had been the plans of Rex.

Rex was the one who had tried killing her while using Clarissa’s potion to make her think it was Axel!

More tears filled her eyes, the more she saw things play in front of her white eyes.

“Axel” she shook his hand as his eyes fluttered in pains.

She pulled closer to him and her tears dropped on him as cried the more. She suddenly hated herself for burying her claws and fangs into his neck. She hated everything.

“Axel” her voice cracked with tears that dropped on Axel the more.

Axel could not understand why she was crying after all this was clearly what she wanted, to get him killed but when her tears touched his slit neck, his eyes rolled over as he also fell into a similar trance.

In his own trance, he could see it all, Rex going down the dungeon, Rex’s mother being alive, every single manipulation of Rex played in a fast motion in his eyes. As he saw the potion that Clarissa had once used on him in his trance, he immediately understood what happened.

Rex had deceived the both of them by using the potion. Just like Clarissa had caused an issue between them, Rex had gone farther, doing more with the potion. He could never have thought of it that Rex hated him that much to push to the point of doing this much, to the point of killing their very own father.

With a gasp, he fell out of the trance and tears filled his own eyes as he not only hurt from the physical pains but also the emotional pains as his heart squeezed terribly.

“Axel” Hazel cried even more.

“Hazel” he cried out her name and the packs of wolves including Damien could not understand what was suddenly happening.

“I’m…. I’m sorry, Axel. I hurt you this much. I am sorry” more tears rolled down her eyes.

“It’s… It’s fine” he groaned.

“No, no. It’s not fine. I am a monster. I… I caused all of this” she wept more.

“I should not have blocked you off my mind link… Perhaps… Perhaps if we had had a talk, we… We would have cleared all of it up” she cried even more.

“I… It’s not your fault. Do… Don’t blame yourself” he shook his head lightly as he felt life draining out of him by the second.

“Sa… Sana, where is she?” He stuttered out, wanting to see Sana one more time.

“She is not with me… I… I thought you killed her” more tears streamed down.

“I would… I would never do such” he groaned as he felt his body getting even weaker.

“Don’t say a word anymore” she rushed her words.

“Don’t say another word. You have to keep your strength. You are… You are not allowed to lose strength” she cried, her face getting sore by the second.

Weakly, Axel raised his hands to her face and wiped her tears slowly.

“I… Don’t… Like… Like you crying” his breathing was significantly getting harder and it seemed like life was fast getting away from him.

“Then stop dying!!” She literally screamed at him.

“Rex did all of this! He caused all of it and I promise you I will get rid of him!!”

All eyes turned from the couple to Rex and the woman beside him, his mother.

“Hazel” a familiar feminine voice called and eyes turned towards the voice.

It was Clarissa and with her was Sana.

“Mommy! Daddy!!” Sana rushed towards them.

“Daddy…. who did this to Daddy?” She asked, her eyes filling with tears that rolled down her cheeks instantly.

“Daddy” the little girl cried and it hurt Hazel so much that Sana would be realizing soon enough that her mommy was the one who hurt the daddy this badly.

“Sana” Axel called out, his voice cracking.

“Daddy” she cried and Axel motioned her to come closer.

The little girl went closer to her bloodied daddy and Axel hugged her as tightly as he could, more tears running down his eyes as he was coming to the quick realization that this might be his last time hugging his daughter.

Hazel helped Sana away from Axel after noticing that she was pressing against his slit.

“Someone call the doctor! Call the fucking doctor!!” She screamed out like a maniac that she was fast becoming.

“Hazel” his voice was weaker now.

“Yeah?” She moved closer to him, to hear him.

“Stop crying” he whispered and she nodded her head frantically and repeatedly, wiping the tears off her eyes.

“I am not crying” she shook her head.

“You are” his voice was getting weaker by the second.

Axel raised his hands once more and with the strength left in him, he pulled her close and pressed his lips against hers, kissing her hard as her tears fell on his cheeks, mixing with her own tears.

His lips parted in a shaky breath and he took her lips, sucking it into his mouth like it was his life support.

Their lips trembled and shook against each other as they kissed like it was going to be their last which Axel knew it was going to be.

It was said that the strong ones know when death knocks, he was sure about that now as he knew it.

Their lips shakily parted and Axel’s head rested back into the dust.

“I… I love you. I love you so much Hazel Simons” he struggled to get his words out.

“I love you too. I and Sana love you so much. So you have to stay strong for us, Axel” she pleaded, her eyes darting around, searching for the doctor.

“Where is the fucking doctor?!” She screamed out.

“It’s… It’s useless now” Axel groaned, clearly struggling to keep his eyes opened.

“It’s not” she shook her head, making more tears fall off.

“It is”

“It can’t be! Our child has not seen you yet” she cried.

Axel weakly looked towards the crying Sana and back at Hazel.

“We have another child. I… I am pregnant for you” she cried out and his lips parted into a painful gasp.

Not only, could he not live to see her face and that of Sana more but he would also not be able to see his unborn child.

“I… I want to stay with you too, Hazel. I want to…” He gulped down hard before finding the strength to continue.

“I want to see our child too but… But I can’t”

“You can! Just hold on for me, please” she pleaded with him.

“Let our child now that… That Daddy loves all his pups” he groaned.

“You are going to tell our pup that yourself!” She cried but it was too late, his grip on her hand had loosened and his hands had dropped….

He was dead and gone.
