Katarina’s Pov
I was so happy when Alpha Lorde stepped in with his Beta, he was looking so handsome that I can’t take my eyes off him, but I needed to stop doing that, Katarina your sister is missing so you need to act like it at the moment, you need to have the look of a worried sister so everyone will believe that I am scared something terrible must have happened to her.
I am doing a good job but damn, let’s talk about his cuteness, how can an Alpha be this cute and sexy altogether, the word perfect suits him, I must say.
After his mom explained what happened, I said my part of the story to him, he looks so worried, he should not worry himself anymore, for I will be here for him from now on, he won’t feel her presence in any way too.
“Katarina, the alpha is worried, just let your sister go, if something happens to Amelia and he finds out, he won’t take this likely with you, he can kill you In seconds and no one will care to question him too, so if you don’t want us to die just yet, do as I say,” Leah spoke to me again with her negative thinking.
“Nothing will happen to me and why are you worried? He will never find out that I know something about the missing Amelia, my beautiful sister, who do you think will buy such talk? No one will believe her sister will plan to hurt her so stop getting worried Leah and let’s focus on getting the Alpha on the outside, is he not cute?” I asked feeling some happiness within me.
“Yes, the Alpha is cute but.”
“No, but, that Alpha is cities exactly what I just wish to hear okay? just that I am okay with everything another thing so do not add them but to it okay?.” I responded as I continued with my pretence when the Alpha, his mom and beta said something about finding her which I am sure is a waste of time, he should just go for the burial rites then I will please him at night in bed, he will forget her easily.
I didn’t know when I said the words out and everyone fixed there eyes on me after listening,
“You all know that can’t happen right, you can’t find her.”
“What do you mean that can’t happen?” Beta Simon asked.
“I mean, I know the Alpha will need to be at the burial rites with other werewolves and also it’s very late, where do we start searching for her from? How do we get clues on such short notice, please don’t make me get false hope that you will find her when I know so well it’s impossible to do so.” I busted into serious tears for them to pity me and it worked, his mom did as she sat me down saying, “Katarina it’s okay, do not cry, Amelia will be fine wherever she is and I want you to have faith in the alpha, have faith in my son that he will bring her home to us and the welcoming party for her is going to hold, okay?”
“Thank you so much ma.” She hugged me and I laughed silently, they will never find her not to talk of rescuing her at the moment, she will be dead soon, so even if you all find her you will only end up seeing her corpse.
I love the turns of events and something made me shiver when Alpha Lorde touched me on my shoulder saying, “I promise to find your sister okay.”
I got lost in his eye, I don’t want him to search for her, I just want him to be mine right now, I want him to hold me like I am his forever and no one will be able to come in between us not even Amelia my sister.
“Thank you so much, Alpha Lorde, thank you so much.” I used the opportunity to hug him so close and acted like I was crying so bad, still enjoying my moment in his arms he unlocked from it saying, “Sorry you don’t have to do this okay? I shall take my leave now, Simon come with me, I need you to do something right now before I have my bath.” He said and I looked so stupid and disappointed, he just rejected me just like that?
Why can’t he hug me and caress me in return, why can’t he make me feel good, is he this cold to Amelia?
“You see what I am talking about? I said you are wasting your time on him, he will never look your way or like you the way you expect, he still hates you for stopping him the first day he planned to see your sister at the mask party and he also hates you having a fight with her that made her sustain some wounds.” Leah said tormenting me.
“Just keep it cool Leah, yes he is so cold and ruthless, he might be the same to Amelia meaning this is his charming spell, he looks so handsome when in that mood and that’s the more reason I am falling deeply in love with him you know, I love him over and over again.”
“Katarina, you have to wake up and see reality, you are just the only one who loves him and in return, he doesn’t, this makes it looks like one-sided love you, just a hug, he pushed you away, don’t you see the paintings on the wall?”
“Leah, I hate you right now, I promise you with time, he will learn to love just me okay? It’s just a matter of time after the death of Amelia, he will have no option but to choose me.”
“He won’t look your way,” Leah added before being silent.
“Katarina, I apologise for my son’s manner, he doesn’t like when a female gets this close but I think just his mate he prefers, take your rest while my son searches for your sister.”
