Chapter 243 Making an Excuse

Harper inquired, "Do you think so? Do you want to meet him?"

Annie remained expressionless for a moment. After a few seconds, she forced a smile and replied, "It's not a matter of whether we should meet or not, but it seems necessary for him and me to have a conversation. If we don't address some issues now, he might resort to the same methods again. I've been contemplating this for the past two days, avoiding confronting certain realities. Larry nodded. "I understand. I will never do such things again."

Harper's demeanor remained cold as she continued, "Do you understand why she left and didn't. ask for help even though she was in danger? Larry looked at Harper with a serious look. "Because of

fiancée. If you can't manage your relationship, then stay away from Annie."

Harper responded indifferently, "You don't need to apologize. Annie's safety doesn't concern you. There's nothing wrong with refraining from assisting someone who isn't your responsibility." Benjamin asked quietly, "Is that your true thought, Harper?"
