Chapter 1116 Pay the Bills
Chapter 1116 Pay the Bills
"It's alright. I'll pay." Maximilian said.
The waiter was astonished. He looked at Maximilian with curiosity and thought that the guy might have
something wrong with his brain. That was 110,000 yuan, and Maximilian didn't look like having that
much money.
He affirmed that Maximilian must be bragging to impress Liliana.
The waiter taunted, "Do you have that much money?"
Maximilian smiled and ignored him.
Cassius urged, "Cut the crap. We'll see it as soon as you swiping the card."
The waiter swiped the card.
Cassius stressed deliberately, "I can give you 110,000 yuan as long as you bend on your knees and
kowtow to me. That way you can walk out of the restaurant without your ribs being cracked."
The on-lookers laughed when they heard this. One of them yelled, "Isn't that loss too big for him?"
"No, it's not. 110,000 yuan for 3 kowtows, I think that's a pretty good deal for both of us, because I don't
care about that little money." Cassius said. All he wanted was to humiliate Maximilian in front of Liliana.
If Maximilian kowtowed to him because he had no money, no woman, including Liliana, would love
such a coward. In that way, Liliana might give up on Maximilian.
He could let Liliana despise Maximilian and humiliate Maximilian at the same time. It was to kill two
birds with one stone.
The waiter's attitude suddenly changed. His eyes checked Maximilian repeatedly. Then he gave the
card back to Maximilian in a polite manner. He became nervous now.
Cassius still didn't feel what has changed. He said to the waiter, "Am I right? Is he lying?"
The waiter gave a bitter smile. He looked at Cassius as if he was an idiot. The waiter then said, "He's
our VIP guest. Please don't talk to him like that."
"VIP?" Cassius felt so confused right now. It hadn't been one minute before the waiter changed his
address and called Maximilian the "VIP guest". The waiter even talked back to him for Maximilian.
He suspected that Maximilian must have a fortune in his bank account. Cassius shook his head and
couldn't believe this is true.
Maximilian took back the bank card, then looked at Cassius and said, "I'm sorry, I have the money.
Guess I don't have to kowtow to you for the money now."
Cassius knew Maximilian was being sarcastic. He felt very upset. He was about to teach Maximilian a
lesson and to show off. He didn't expect things to end up like this.
This had gone beyond his plan. He couldn't accept the fact that Maximilian might be richer than him.
His plan had failed, but he refused to accept the fact that he was defeated.
"What a surprise! How can you have 110,000 yuan in your bank account? Where did you get that
from?" Cassius still trying to provoke Maximilian.
Liliana wanted to get rid of this man right away. She said, "Now, would you please excuse us. We want
to have dinner first."
The waiter blocked Cassius and said to him, "Please go back to your seat and leave other guests
alone."
Cassius looked sullen. He slapped the waiter in his face and scolded, "Who do you think you are to
block my way? You sick of living?"
As angry as the waiter was, he didn't dare to say anything. He was too humble compared to Cassius.
He wouldn't dare to talk back to Cassius, so he could only stand there, being scolded.
Cassius went to Maximilian and said, "Just tell me, what would it take to make you leave her?"
He wanted Liliana so badly, and that was why he had been so aggressive.
Maximilian asked, "Why are you asking me? You should ask her. It's her life. Neither you nor I can be
the one making decisions for her." This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
"Cut that crap. I can give you as much money as you want if you leave her."
Cassius believed that money is the common likes of all men, and Maximilian was no exception.
Liliana became sulky. Cassius was too peremptory. She and Maximilian weren't in a formal relationship,
but she wouldn't let other people interfere in her love affairs.
Cassius's blunt threatening added another stain on her impression of him.
Maximilian said casually, "How about 10 billion?"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
Cassius was mad. He knew Maximilian had no intention to negotiate by putting forward that absurd
number. He grabbed Maxmilian's collar and showed a grim smile, "Those who go against me usually
don't end up well. You should conduct yourself well."
Maximilian had a good temper, but it had been worn out by Cassius. He ditched Cassius's hands off.
Cassius deliberately fell to the ground, and then shouted, "You pushed me?"
He needed an excuse to fight with Maximilian.
The on-lookers felt it so absurd because all of them had seen it clearly that Cassius fell to the ground
by himself. It had nothing to do with Maximilian.
However, none of them spoke for Maximilian because they knew Cassius's family background. They
looked at Maximilian with sympathy in their eyes, thinking that this young man would have serious
trouble. No one in this city could piss Cassius off and stay safe.
Cassius stood up and punched Maximilian on his face. Before his fist was about to touch Maxmilian's
face, Maximilian dodged easily. Then he grabbed Cassius's wrist and twisted it.
Cassius's face changed drastically. He stepped back in panic and found his wrist was dislocated. He
thought it might be a coincidence, so he immediately threw a trike again.
Maximilian grabbed Cassius's arms. All his joints started to making a creaking sound. Cassius found
that he could hardly exert his muscles. The dislocation felt really bad.
"Let go of me." Cassius roared angrily.
Maximilian said, "I'll let you go if you call me Daddy."
Cassius asked him to kowtow, and now he was asking Cassius to call him Daddy. That was equal
humiliation.
However, Cassius wouldn't do that because the woman he liked was still here. There were so many
people watching. He wouldn't be able to live with the shame if he really did it, nor could he imagine how
Liliana would think of him.
Maximilian squeezed him tighter. The pain made Cassius cried out. "Daddy!"
Maximilian then let go of him. Cassius saw the sardonic faces around him when he stood up. He
wanted to dig a hole and escape now. Judging from his confrontation with Maxmilian just now, he knew
Maxmilian was an expert in fighting.
Cassius's eyes skimmed around. He wanted to grab something. Then he saw Vinnie. He knew Vinnie
worked for Connor, and Vinnie would certainly help him if he give him money.
