Chapter 15 Narcissism
"So can you bully anyone at will except me?" Jason coolly replied, staring at Georgina with a stern and chilly gaze. "You're embarrassing our Sterling family. If people don't know any better, they'll think that everyone in our Sterling family is like you, a villain who throws weight around. I'll tell Grandpa and let him discipline you more!" He hadn't even had a chance to bully Rejoyla, so how could he let others lay a hand on her?
Georgina was completely scared and had a nervous breakdown upon hearing this, crying and trying to hold Jason's hand. "Jason, I am sorry. I won't do it again. Please don't tell Grandpa. Woo-woo."
If Burton found it out, she would definitely be punished. After all, Burton had many granddaughters, but Jason was his only grandson. If Burton saw the burns on Jason's face, he would definitely teach her a lesson.
Jason remained unmoved and ordered the servant, "Take her to Grandpa. You know what to say, don't you?"
"Yes, Mr. Sterling!" The servant hurriedly pulled Georgina away though Georgina cried and refused to go. Of course, the servant knew what to say. Instead of Georgina, he would support Jason without thinking.
After Georgina was taken away, Jason looked at Hillary who was standing aside, and his expression was unreadable. Hillary glanced at Jason and Rejoyla and looked away quietly. She smiled at Jason. "I didn't say anything. I didn't expect Georgina to have such a bad temper. I'm going to my mother's place. Jason, you should take care of your burns and remember to see Dr. Steve Auther!"
After everyone had left, Rejoyla walked up to Jason and stood on her tiptoes to look at his red and blistered face. She pulled at his sleeve. "You should go to the hospital. Your face is too red. If you delay treatment, aren't you afraid of being disfigured?"
"You were capable, weren't you? You were good at arguing with me last night, but you were so easily bullied by Georgina. Rejoyla, are you only a terror before me?"
Jason didn't care about his injuries and casually shook the dumpling off his shoulder. He looked at Rejoyla with a faint smile.
Rejoyla was rendered speechless by his words and felt mad, but she couldn't say anything when she looked up at his blistered face. She tried to explain in a small voice, "I was just afraid of causing trouble for Jacquelyn, wasn't I? Are you going to the hospital or not? If you're disfigured, you can never shift the blame onto me. Your face is your own, so it's up to you!"
"I'm not going!" Jason said decisively.
"You..."
Rejoyla stomped her foot. Seeing Jason walking upstairs, she followed him in a hurry and couldn't care to keep a distance from him. She accompanied him and advised him cautiously, "Jason, don't make yourself suffer. Let's talk about it nicely. If you're unhappy with me because I want to break up with you and delay treatment, it's you who will suffer in the end..."
Jason looked at Rejoyla with eerie eyes. Even as he walked to his room, Rejoyla was still chattering, keeping saying that he was at odds with her. Jason couldn't help but laugh. "Rejoyla, what are you thinking about? Is your brain filled with cream cakes?"
"What?" Rejoyla was puzzled. Just then, a servant's voice was heard at the door. "Mr. Sterling, Dr. Steve Auther is here!"
"Okay, let him in!" Jason glanced at Rejoyla with a faint smile and explained "kindly", "Dr. Steve Auther is the Sterling family's family doctor, so I don't need to go to the hospital. My minor injury can be treated at home. Stop imagining things."
Rejoyla's expression was complicated at that moment. She didn't even feel as embarrassed when Georgina called her a tease in front of others. She wanted to run away, but Jason got injured because of saving her. She was a person with a conscience and couldn't just leave a patient behind! So, Rejoyla shamelessly stood aside and watched as Dr. Steve Auther treated Jason's wounds.
