Being Proposed to By a Blind CEO

Stealing Gifer’s Attention

Still a Flashback

After discussing with Kiano that Gifer wanted to be invited to meet outside of working hours, on Sunday morning this time they made an appointment over the phone to meet at the park. As usual, Kiano used his bike to exercise this morning, as well as his younger brother who used his own bike. Gifer was the only one who jogged without using any equipment. He only relied on his legs to run from the apartment to the park.

Actually, Gifer had invited his girlfriend to go jogging, but his girlfriend was not interested at all just to get out of the house in the morning, even though she was the one who invited him. Wouldn’t everyone be happy if their lover asked them to go out in the morning for a good cause? But that didn’t apply to Raya. Now Gifer had arrived at the park ahead of Kiano and Nara. Gifer didn’t bring his cell phone while jogging.

He only carried his wallet to buy drinks and breakfast. Now he was buying a drink at a supermarket near the park, soon Gifer came out and drank for a while before walking towards the park. When he got there, he already saw Kiano and Nara.

“Mr. Kiano!” called Gifer while waving his hand. Nara who heard the voice of the man she recognized immediately looked back and waved along. Kiano followed the direction of Nara’s gaze.

“Come here Mr. Gifer!” He said from a distance. Gifer immediately walked over to Kiano and Nara who were leading their bicycles. They sat on an elongated bench in the garden with a large cherry blossom tree in the center.

“Wow, you’ve sweated a lot this morning.”

“Hahaha, it’s obvious, Mr. Kiano. Because I was jogging from the apartment to here,”

“Ah so that’s it. How about outside like this, don’t call me ‘Mr.’, just call me Kiano. We can be close friends,” Kiano suggested.

“Yes, Gifer. To make it more familiar and not awkward,” said Nara shyly, making Gifer immediately turn to Nara with a smile.

“Ah, yes, too. Okay, Kiano and Nara. Right?” They both nodded while smiling at Gifer’s gentle behavior.

“Are you guys hungry? It’s only 6:30, but somehow my stomach is already rumbling like this,” Nara complained with a pitiable face and held her left stomach.

“Hahahaha, honestly, I’ve also been hungry since earlier because I ran a long way,” Gifer replied.

“Alright, let’s have breakfast at a nearby tavern while drinking beer, shall we?”

“Gosh Kiano, it’s still early please, no alcohol, my lamb won’t be strong enough,” Gifer complained.

“Hahaha, do you have a history of stomach pain Gif?” Nara asked.

“Yes, I do, Nara. That’s why I rarely drink alcohol.”

“I’ll just drink water, especially for you,” said Kiano.

“Let’s go!”

They had now arrived at the meat stall with stoves burning at every table. While waiting, they started chatting again. Nara who often stole glances at Gifer when he was telling a story by demonstrating with both hands.

‘Gif, you are very sweet and gentle. I rarely find a man like you.’ Nara said to herself.

Since the girl had been smiling all day, Gifer felt a little strange being looked at by Nara while smiling. He didn’t dislike it, but it just made him feel more awkward. When he wanted to reprimand her, Nara first asked him a question.

“Where’s your girlfriend, Gif? I haven’t seen her since earlier,” Nara asked while casting her gaze in another direction. Actually, she wanted to ask this to Gifer, but she got carried away and forgot about it, and remembered again when she was at the tavern for breakfast this time.

“Raya? Ah, she didn’t come, she had something very important that made her unable to come with me this morning. Maybe next time,” Gifer answered while smiling wryly because he remembered that was not the reason his lover couldn’t come this time, it was just that Gifer had to cover it up, because this was his privacy.

“Ah, it’s a shame, I wanted to get to know her,” Nara said with a sad expression on her face while pushing her lower lip forward.

“Never mind, don’t pout like that, I’ll invite her outside of working hours again sometime so I can meet you.” Gifer replied trying to make Nara smile again. Not waiting for long, the food came and they started cooking it on the stove.

At her mansion, Raya was relaxing while watching television in the living room accompanied by her Father who was reading the newspaper while sipping her black coffee in the morning.

“You’re not going out with Gifer today? It’s Sunday, it’s a holiday,” asked her father, which made Raya’s eyes immediately glance towards the source of her father’s voice.

“No, Dad. I’m just not in the mood to go out. I want to rest at home for at least a day,” Raya replied casually, looking back at the television screen.

“At least if you don’t meet outside, bring Gifer to the house,” Raya’s eyes widened in disbelief at what her father had just said. She turned her head fully toward her father with an annoyed look on her face as she clasped her hands to her chest.

“What? Are you crazy? Seeing her every day for a week makes me sick, let alone seeing her at home? I’m the one going crazy, Father! I don’t like him, Father! I wanted to ask him to break up with me, but instead he took me to the company. I still can’t figure out what’s on your mind,” Raya said as she straightened up from her sitting position.

“Raya! Do you know, Gifer is very influential in our company, he is a very good man, smart, and loyal. What is Gifer lacking to you? Doesn’t a girl usually like a guy with a good attitude?” Mr. Kavin tried to explain the reason why he always forced Raya to stay with Gifer which was because Gifer was a good guy in terms of attitude and also smart.

“The thing is, he can’t make me fall in love with him, Dad! He’s the only one who’s loved me all this time, but not me. He’s not my ideal type of man, Father!” Raya’s reply was relentless.

“Then what kind of man is your ideal type, huh? Is a man who doesn’t know his manners, is a rascal, likes to drink here and there, a womanizer. Is that what you want?” Asked Mr. Kevin raising his voice.

“You should be grateful for being loved by a man like Gifer, instead of being evasive and trying to break up with him!” Mr. Kevin continued.NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.

“Yes, but you don’t have to force me to be with Gifer. I have a choice and I have the right to choose, Father!” Raya turned off the television and walked to her room. She was fed up with this kind of conversation with her father.

“I’m doing this because I don’t want you to choose the wrong man, Raya!” Mr. Kevin’s voice was actually still being heard by Raya, but the girl just glanced at him without even listening to what he was saying.

.

“I want to escape from Gifer.”

“It’s easy, as long as you are willing to carry out the plan with me, then I will guarantee that Gifer will be free from you.”
