"Hubby, have you finished all your work already?"

Whilst tidying up the office, Victoria jumped up from the ground. She had been in the same position for a fair amount of time, thus her hasty movement caused her to almost tumble head over heels.

"Whoops~"

Victoria instinctively grabbed a nearby sofa's armrest. At the same time, Trevor reached out his hand and yelled, "Be careful!"

"It's okay, I'm fine, I'm just a little numb!"

Victoria leaned against the sofa's armrest as she lightly hammered her legs to bring their senses back. She then casually grabbed her designs off the table and presented them to Trevor as if they were some thousand-year-old treasure.

"Hubby, the feng shui in your office is extraordinary. Being here filled me with tens of thousands of inspiration. Take a look at my designs, what do you think? Isn't it wonderful?"noveldrama

Victoria was exceptionally excited. She tugged at his wrist with her free hand.

"At first, I didn't want to sign up for the Jade Cup Gown Designing Competition because I didn't have any good innovative ideas, but now I do! I'm glad I received these wonderful inspirations. Tomorrow is the deadline, but I've already signed up earlier!"

Things rarely went so smoothly for her. With the competition's confirmation letter in her hand, Victoria couldn't hide her joy and elation.

"I'm lucky, aren't I? Oh, Hubby, do you know where I got my inspirations?"

Trevor flipped through her designs and realized it was all pencil- drawn. Perhaps Victoria hadn't had the chance to color it just yet. He noticed how she incorporated cat-like elements into her designs. They were surely out of the box!

Her skills weren't bad at all!

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you, but you gave me the inspiration, when..." Victoria gestured her own back. The thought of it made her face redder than a tomato.

"That...That..."

It was the scorpion on his back that was the source of her inspiration. Of course, scorpions are terrifying and deadly, it would be unwise to directly incorporate them into women's gowns. Animals like scorpions and snakes suit men's clothing better, while women's clothing should be more feminine and gentle! If she had integrated the scorpions into her design, people may think that she was trying to bring out a message about the wearer being poisonous and vicious like a scorpion!

With the thought lingering in her mind, Victoria felt the pride and confidence radiating from her bones. She was especially delighted with her work this time.

His gaze fell upon her messy hair as he noticed the pencil on her little bun. Moreover, her swaying movements made her seem silly but cute at the same time. Trevor couldn't hold back his chuckle. "Haha~"

"Hmm?"

His reaction stupefied her. Victoria paused as she stood up slowly, "Are my designs chucklesome?" She swiftly seized her designs back and examined them. They were gorgeous!

The incorporation of cat-like elements into her designs was the highlight of her work. She didn't just design various gowns, but also some casual clothing. The cat-like elements made even the simplest white T-shirts look unique and out of this world.

As she inspected her work, the final product slowly appeared in her mind. She could even picture the most minute details. She couldn't find any flaws in her work, thus Victoria couldn't help but pout. What was so funny about it?

Victoria held the drafts in her hand as her forehead poked out from behind the papers. Her motion made Trevor notice her black nose. The discovery only made him more delighted.

"Tidy yourself up," he tittered, "it's almost one o'clock. I've already ordered someone to bring us lunch-"

With a wide grin on his face, Trevor took off his coat and returned to his office.

Victoria chased after him with the drafts in her hand. She had to find out what was wrong, "Hubby, is there something wrong with my designs? Why do you keep laughing?"

She was the designer, perhaps that was why she wasn't able to spot the flaws and errors in her own designs?

"Don't just laugh! Tell me what's wrong-"

Victoria paced after him like she was his tail. She glanced at her designs every once in a while, her brows furrowed into a frown. The more she did that, the more she looked like a little pug with a black nose. Trevor was over the moon.

It turns out that the sheer sight of her could make him feel both physically and mentally relaxed! Trevor was so busy that morning that he didn't even have time to take one sip of water. Despite that, at that very moment, he didn't feel tired at all.

When he went to get himself some water, Victoria was still behind him. She clutched the drafts in her hand and was deep in thought. She didn't notice how her silly yet adorable actions were pleasing him. When he returned to his desk, Victoria grew impatient. She wanted a response, "Trevor Clements, are you going to say something or not?"

However, her motion was too sudden, causing the pencil on her head to fall to the ground. She picked it up and started grooming her hair as if she had suddenly recalled something. Trevor burst out laughing as he reached out and pulled her into his embrace. He then wiped her nose clean with a tissue.

"Look at you, you're like a child, so clumsy and filthy, and you're oblivious about it. What do you think I'm laughing at?"

He pinched her nose as his grin grew wider.

Those women who take their jobs seriously are the most beautiful! It was as if some holy light had shone onto Victoria. Even though she was a mess, she was stunning nonetheless! Compared to those women who only knew how to make themselves more physically attractive, she was more loveable

and wonderful. Living with someone like her does make his life more amusing and joyful.

A saying suddenly came into Trevor's mind, "Outer beauty attracts, but inner beauty captivates-!" Victoria seized the tissue from him and continued wiping her face. The corner of her lips raised into a loose smile, "I didn't notice, I was too focused on drawing. You should've just told me, instead you were busy laughing at me!"

She rolled her eyes and struggled to break free from his embrace, "I'll go wash my hands first!" Victoria didn't understand why Trevor was so happy. She was so filthy and chaotic! She turned around and headed toward the bathroom. After cleaning herself, she came out to see him examining her work. Thus, she returned to him at full speed. She circled the chair and eventually rested her arms around his neck. "Hubby-"

She wanted to know about his opinions on her designs.

As soon as she opened her mouth, a thought struck her. Men were usually inelegant and clumsy, so they probably won't know much about women's clothing and designs. It was unlikely for them to have any clever opinions or ideas too. After some thought, she decided to rephrase her original question. "Hubby, what type of clothes do you like in women? Conservative ones? Sexy ones? Simple ones or magnificent ones? Do you prefer women exposing a little bit of their bodies here and there, or do you prefer those half-transparent clothing?"

Men do usually pay for women's clothing. She made the overall design, but she could perhaps get some ideas about the details and materials of the clothes.

"If you tell me, I'll be able to pick and wear and wear outfits that align your interests too!"

Trevor titled his head and glanced at her, "Do you want to know the truth?"

Victoria nodded in agreement, "Yes" The seriousness in her eyes was clear.

Was it not obvious enough?

This is not the time for useless lies!

Trevor gestured for Victoria to come closer. She obediently approached him as he muttered into her ear, "I

like it most...when you don't wear anything!"

"Pfft," Victoria swiftly turned her head, her face redder than a tomato. She punched the air in front of him and noted, "I'm being serious!"

What was he thinking? What a flippant remark!

"I'm being serious too-" Don't men like naked women?

Trevor grinned like a Chesire cat. Teasing her was probably the most entertaining thing to do! Victoria raised her head and sighed, "It's over! We can't communicate properly anymore." "Hehe~"

Trevor squeezed her face as he spoke, "You don't understand men at all!"

To put it bluntly, men's first impressions of women were purely based on instinct. Perhaps this was what differentiates the two genders the most. If a woman couldn't attract a man's attention, their relationship wouldn't progress much!

There was also a similar saying, although both concepts weren't exactly the same, they're alike in certain ways. The saying was also undeniably true: A man can sleep with a woman he's not truly interested in. No feelings could be involved in the process. Some men can sleep with any woman with the sole purpose of fulfiling their sexual desires.

Perhaps that was why so many men deserted their homes and careers. Perhaps that was why the p*rn industries were everlasting. All for the sake of cheap appearances and sexual drives.

Of course, not all men are like that. It differed for everyone. It heavily depended on the man's self- discipline and attitude!

Unfortunately, Trevor had witnessed

multiple cases where men ditched their wives for some random sl*t. For some men, temporary beauty is more significant than their careers and wealth. Of course, karma did its job. Those men were punished for the rest of their lives for one е

seemingly inconsequential mistake. He witnessed the downfall of their careers. He saw them losing millions or even billions of dollars in only a couple of years. In the end, their wives had moved on, and the mistresses, unsurprisingly, fled. The men were left alone with no honor or dignity left. They could do nothing else but cry while welcoming their wretched future.

Therefore, as humans, they could be cruel or savage, but they could never lose their basic morale! "Hubby!"

Just as Victoria was shaking him like a spoiled child, the office's door opened with a loud bang, "Trevor-" Holger rushed in without hesitation. Upon setting foot into the office, he was shocked by the scene. He suddenly recalled something and retreated swiftly, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I forgot Madam Victoria's here!" Victoria covered her face which was flushed with redness and fled the scene at the speed of light. In a mere second, she vanished into the resting area. After sensing her departing footsteps, Holger gingerly turned around and came back into the office.

"What's the matter? Why are you so nervous?"

"Trevor, I've got bad news.

Something went wrong during the

meeting with Eguchi Media Corp. I don't know the exact details, but Kaede Eguchi left without signing the contract. Moreover, our stocks started plummeting this morning! If we want the contract signed, well need to reschedule the meeting, but what about the animation we were expected to launch? We've already paid the copyright fees-"

If the animation could not be launched on time, all their preparations and advertising plans would be
