Chapter 435
Chapter 435
"Bridget, could you listen to me?" Jacob emphasized. Why did she keep interrupting him?
Bridget calmed down and looked at him patiently. "OK."
Bridget was suddenly so quiet, but Jacob couldn't speak.
For one thing, he didn't know where to start. For another, he was afraid that Bridget would refuse.
He admitted that he was a little timid.
"Well, shall I sleep in the bed at night?" Could he be more tactful?
"Okay, I'll sleep on the sofa." Bridget hesitated for a second.
Jacob pouted. "Forget it. I'll sleep on the sofa."
"Go home." Jacob pulled Bridget into the car.
Bridget lowered her eyes. "I was sorry just now."
It was her willfulness.
Jacob glanced at her. "There's something wrong with me, too. We should not be angry with each other
anymore, okay?"
Bridget nodded. "Well, I won't be as impulsive as I am today in the future. I promise, if you have
someone you like, just tell me. I won't interfere."
What a waste of time, right?
Jacob's face was slightly cold and he said word by word, "Okay."
Bridget didn't say anything more, and Jacob didn't say anything. There was a very depressing
atmosphere in the car all the way.
When she got home, Bridget locked herself in the room.
Jacob stared at the medicine for back pain on the table. He was gloomy, conflicted, and helpless.
Jacob scratched his hair in annoyance, took the medicine, and knocked on Bridget's door.
Bridget wasn't any better. Why was she so impulsive? Even if it was Jacob in the car, she had no
reason to be angry.
Although they were a married couple, they didn't get married because of love.
The knock on the door interrupted Bridget's thoughts. She suddenly sat up from the bed, flashed to her
waist, and snorted in pain.
"Bridget, what's wrong with you?"
"It's okay." Bridget got out of bed and opened the door.
Jacob stood at the door and handed her the medicine. "I bought the medicine. You may apply it to
avoid waste."
Bridget leaned against the door and folded her arms around her chest. "So you gave it to me because
you were afraid of wasting it."
Jacob smiled. "Or else?"
He paused. "Care about you? But you don't appreciate it."
Bridget held her breath inexplicably. "In your eyes, am I so ignorant?"
Jacob shrugged his shoulders. Although he didn't say anything, she agreed in silence.
Bridget grabbed the medicine in his hand and threw it at him. "Who cares about your medicine?"
Jacob dodged. "No way. You can't hit me."
Bridget was furious. Jacob sensed something was wrong and turned to run. Bridget caught up. "Jacob,
stop!" Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
Jacob would not stand there foolishly and let her beat him.
Jacob ran, and Bridget chased after him, grabbing the pillow on the sofa and smashing it, but it didn't
hit him once. The more this happened, the angrier Bridget became and the faster she ran. She ran too
fast and didn't notice her feet, she fell because of hitting the corner of the sofa.
Jacob turned around and saw that Bridget was about to fall. Without any hesitation, he turned around
and ran over quickly. He held her by the waist and caught her. Maybe Jacob didn't stand still. Bridget's
weight was on him and he didn't steady himself and fell.
He didn't know where he was hit. Jacob snorted. Bridget lay on him and was not hurt at all.
Hearing Jacob's muffled groan, Bridget's heart tightened and she quickly got up from him. Before she
could get up, Jacob held her waist. Bridget fell back on his chest. "Jacob..."
Before she could say anything, Jacob kissed her lips. Bridget completely forgot to react. Her eyes
widened and her mind went blank.
Perhaps Jacob's actions were too sudden.
Or maybe she didn't expect Jacob to kiss her at all.
She was hot. Bridget only felt her cheeks and body burning.
