Chapter 1336 Weekend Fun

Chapter 1336 Weekend Fun

Edwin chuckled, feeling a touch of envy. Benjamin and Arissa weren't going on this trip, so he had to stay home to take care of them. Otherwise, he could have joined in the fun.

“I'll let William know later. He'll make the necessary preparations.”

“Prepare more gifts! For the children, for the adults...” Darius reminded him. Clearly, the trip was very important to him.

The young ones' eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. They all joined in chorus, “Absolutely, gifts! We must also gather gifts for Tim's close friends! And let's not forget the villagers in Rutaceae Village...”

Seeing their anticipation, Mary was very pleased. “You don't need to bring too many things.”

“Of course we need to bring gifts. You must have quite some relatives back there, right? When we arrive, we can all gather and have a great time!”

Darius was chuckling to himself as he hatched a plan. At the same time, he instructed Edwin, “You should prepare our local specialties. Ensure there's an ample supply. We'll acquire the remaining items once we arrive there!”

They huddled in the kitchen, animatedly discussing what gifts they should prepare for their upcoming weekend trip to Rutaceae Village. The atmosphere was lively.

Benjamin and Arissa, in the living room, could both hear their joyful conversation.

“I really want to go to Rutaceae Village too!” Arissa leaned back on the couch and sighed.

Benjamin turned his head to regard her, a faint smile tugging at his thin lips. “How about I whisk you away to the countryside for a delightful weekend?”

The kids weren't around, so having a vacation in the suburbs sounded like a good idea.

Arissa's eyes lit up. “Where to?”

Benjamin affectionately brushed her nose. “There's a holiday resort that recently opened for business. It's pretty nice. Let's go stay there for a couple of days!”

“Sure thing!” No one would say no to a trip.

Arissa glanced toward the kitchen. With the children back in Rutaceae Village and the two of them heading out to the suburbs, it did feel like they were going on a date.

Seeing her happiness, Benjamin decided to make arrangements for this spontaneous decision.

“Why hasn't Bradley arrived yet?” Arissa glanced at the time. She had already called them over for dinner, but there was still no sign of anyone.

Benjamin glanced at her. “Why did you call him over?”

Arissa gazed at him and chuckled. “To join us for a meal. I've also told Shaun to invite Kingsley and Mr.

Patterson. Why don't you invite Ethen and the others too? It'll be a lively gathering!”

Benjamin raised an eyebrow. He happened to have some instructions to convey to Ethen. Thus, he called Ethen to inform him to come over.

“Come over for dinner tonight! Bring Jack with you!”

Arissa observed him as he gave a curt order and concluded the call. His authoritative manner remained steadfast, prompting her to chuckle at the lack of change in his commanding demeanor.

“Can't you talk a bit more?” Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Benjamin arched a brow as he gazed at her. “Talk about what?”

Arissa was taken aback.

Benjamin bent down to pick a grape. He peeled it and fed it to her.

Arissa opened her mouth to eat. “You can go on with your work instead of keeping me company!”

Benjamin peeled a few grapes for her before he stood up to go upstairs. “I'm going to change my clothes!”

Arissa was momentarily speechless.

“Can't you tone down your obsession with cleanliness? You've been outside for just a short while, and already you're changing your attire!”

Someone laughed out loud behind her. As she turned around, she found herself meeting Jonathan's smiling face.

Perhaps due to his profession, Jonathan rarely smiled.

Arissa wasn't used to his casual demeanor and quickly greeted him, “Mr. Patterson, come over and have some fruit!”

Jonathan brought two bottles of wine and placed them on the coffee table. “Did Benjamin go upstairs to change his clothes?”

Arissa nodded, intending to pour a glass of water for Jonathan. However, aware of her physical condition, Jonathan quickly raised his hand to stop her.

“No need to trouble yourself, Arissa. I can do it!”

Jonathan poured himself a glass of water and took a sip as he settled down on the couch.

“After the last lawsuit, we didn't have a chance to host you. This time, they wanted to liven things up a bit, so we thought we'd invite you over for a casual meal. We hope you won't mind, Mr. Patterson!” Arissa warmly greeted Jonathan.

Jonathan chuckled lightly. “Why the formality, Arissa? Dining here is far superior to eating out. Normally, Benjamin doesn't like us coming over.”
