Chapter 1322 Not A Qualified Father

Chapter 1322 Not A Qualified Father

“What is he approaching us for?” Gavin was also pondering this question.

Tim looked at the two of them and whispered, “Could it be that he wants us to put in a good word for him in front of Mommy?”

“As if!” Jasper rolled his eyes and grumbled about Regan.

Jesse declared in annoyance, “He's not a good father at all, siding with those two wicked women to bully Mommy. He even drove her out of their home and did such evil things! Zachary, next time you see him, empty his pockets and make him suffer!”

Zachary smiled slyly and told them, “He just agreed that from now on, whenever we eat at Drawbridge Dining, it's on his tab!”

They couldn't help but laugh at the thought of Regan's pained expression.

“How about we go to Drawbridge Dining for dinner tonight?” Jasper suggested, a mischievous glint hidden in his eyes.

Zachary gently flicked his forehead and said, “Let's call it a day. Give him some time to recover.” Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

“Will Mommy get angry if she finds out?” Tim looked at them, worried that their mother would be upset because the relationship between Arissa and Regan was very tense.

“No way, right?” Jasper wasn't too sure either. Their mother had gotten angry over what they did last night, and it wouldn't be pleasant if she got angry again today.

Gavin hadn't spent as much time with Arissa as the others had. Seeing Jasper's uncertainty, a sense of unease began to stir within him.

Just then, Zachary suggested, “How about we keep this from Mommy for now? Once she's feeling better, we can tell her!”

He did not seem at all worried as he added with a smile, “Don't worry about it. I'll take care of it!”

Anyway, he was the one who tricked Regan. He would have to explain everything to their mother later. If she was still angry and decided to punish him, he would accept it.

“Zachary, Mommy can be quite scary when she's angry!” Jesse reminded him.

“No worries, you guys can plead for me when the time comes!” Zachary looked at them and asked, “Or are you not going to help?”

“No way! If Mommy punishes you, I'll be punished with you!” Oliver patted his chest in assurance.

The money that Regan sent would be shared among them all, so they could not possibly let Zachary take the blame alone.

“We're all in this together. We won't let you bear it alone!” Gavin, Tim, and Jasper asserted, full of camaraderie.

“I want to join you too!” Jesse quickly raised her hand.

The six siblings looked at each other and laughed before cheerfully heading off to the school cafeteria to eat.

Meanwhile, at the Graham residence, Benjamin sat beside Arissa's bed and gently pinched her nose.

“Honey, it's time to eat!”

Arissa rubbed her eyes. Realizing it was already noon, she exclaimed in surprise, “Have I slept this long?”

“Mmm!” Benjamin lovingly brushed the hair from her face and said, “Go wash up and come down for lunch. Dad is here.”

“Dad's here? When did he arrive?”

Arissa managed to sit up with Benjamin's help. Then, he picked her up and carried her to the bathroom.

“He came over shortly after you arrived,” Benjamin explained while helping her to sit down. He wet a towel for her to clean her face.

Arissa was shocked. She glared at him and demanded reproachfully, “Why didn't you tell me?”

Benjamin was at his wit's end. “Dad said you should rest well. He didn't want to disturb you. Otherwise, he would have come to see you this morning!”

Arissa looked at him suspiciously and questioned, “You didn't stop him from coming up, did you?”

“No, really! If you don't believe me, just ask him later!” Benjamin said with a light laugh.

Arissa felt a bit down. Her father-in-law had come to visit her, but she was sleeping like a dead log upstairs. How embarrassing!

Benjamin looked at her, taking the comb to tidy her hair. “Dad knows you're not feeling well. It doesn't matter whether you spend time with him or not. Don't beat yourself up about it.”

Arissa sighed and wailed, “Even so, you should have told me when Dad arrived!”

Benjamin pinched her nose and replied, “All right, next time I'll tell you. Do you need to relieve yourself? If not, I'll carry you downstairs for lunch!”

“Yes! I can't take it anymore!” Arissa anxiously brushed away his outstretched hand.

“Haha!” Benjamin couldn't help but chuckle.
