Chapter 1290 That Quack Doctor Knows Nothing

Chapter 1290 That Quack Doctor Knows Nothing

“We're home. We just got back!” Gavin's voice sounded much more normal.

“Hand the phone to Edwin!” Benjamin instructed, wary of any tricks the little one might pull.

Gavin fell silent for a moment, then quickly called for Edwin to come over and take the call.

“Mr. Graham?”

Soon, Edwin's voice was heard. Benjamin raised his sword-like eyebrows and ordered in a deep voice, “It's getting late. Take Gavin and the others upstairs for a bath, and make sure they get to bed early!”

“I understand, Mr. Graham.”

“Is Shaun with them?” Benjamin's eyes flickered as he glanced toward the bed.

Arissa had just heard the news of the children's arrival home, but she couldn't resist the sleepiness and had already fallen asleep.

Benjamin's brows furrowed even more intensely as he walked over and gently touched her forehead.

“Mr. Bailey is still here, but they are about to leave!” Edwin reported.

“Have him rush back to the hospital immediately!” Benjamin ordered and promptly hung up the phone.

Upon hearing that there was something off in Benjamin's voice, Edwin quickly relayed Benjamin's words to Shaun. Left with no choice, Shaun asked Kingsley to take him back to the hospital, while he

called Benjamin back.

Benjamin had just tucked a thermometer under Arissa's arm when he received a call from Shaun. He answered and held the phone to his ear, lowering his voice. “Come back to the hospital now!”

Even though there were many doctors in the hospital, Benjamin didn't trust anyone else's medical skills. He only sought out Shaun.

Shaun thought something serious had happened, anxiously asking, “What's going on?”

“She looks drained, and she fell asleep right after having a late-night snack!” Benjamin's brows remained furrowed as he watched Arissa with concern. At that moment, he was entirely focused on her.

“I'm already on my way back, but I've asked a colleague to go ahead and check!” Shaun wasn't at the hospital and had no idea what was wrong with Arissa, so he decided to have a colleague go and check first.

“All right!” Benjamin responded, promptly hanging up the phone. He then stayed by the bed, waiting. When the time came, he finally took out the thermometer. She doesn't have a fever!

Benjamin had been staring at Arissa all along. Deep in sleep, Arissa was oblivious to it all, unaware that someone had been worried about her.

Soon, the on-duty doctor came over, greeted Benjamin, and immediately started examining Arissa. He didn't find any issues. “Mr. Graham, Mrs. Graham might just be tired. There's nothing to worry about.”

Benjamin furrowed his brows, showing a hint of disbelief. “She was barely coherent when she was

awake, and the moment she finished eating, she fell asleep.”

The key point was that during the day, Arissa's spirits were high, unlike at night.

The doctor was unsure of the cause. Feeling overwhelmed by Benjamin's imposing aura, he didn't feel comfortable being straightforward. Instead, he offered his advice in a more tactful manner. “How about we schedule a full body check-up for tomorrow?” Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Benjamin was impatient, waving his hand to signal the doctor to leave, waiting for Shaun to arrive.

Half an hour later, Kingsley and Ethen accompanied Shaun back to the hospital, and they all went up to visit Arissa in her ward.

“What's wrong with Arissa?” Kingsley quickly followed Shaun. His gaze fixed on Arissa.

“Examine her! That quack doctor doesn't know anything!” Benjamin was impatient, ignoring Kingsley's words and directly urging Shaun.

Quack doctor? Shaun's mouth twitched slightly. That person is one of the leading authorities in the hospital, yet in Benjamin's mouth, he is reduced to a quack doctor.

Despite his inner grumbling, he quickly walked over to the bedside and gave Arissa a thorough check- up once again.

Everyone fell silent, their eyes fixed on him, awaiting the outcome.

A few minutes later, Shaun heaved a sigh.

This sound made everyone tense up, especially Benjamin, whose brows furrowed even deeper, his face showing concern.

“What on earth is going on?” Benjamin asked.

Shaun adjusted his glasses, his gaze directly meeting the worried eyes of Benjamin. His lips twitched slightly.

“Arissa is fine!” Shaun was puzzled. How could someone who was perfectly fine suddenly run into trouble? As it turns out, this guy is overly nervous.
