You Complete Me novel (Skylar and Coralie)

Chapter 448

Chapter 448

"Spare your own life?"

Amelia raised her head and looked at Yoel, as if she understood the intentions in his eyes.

"Yes, after you leave, you will find out that the outside world is very vast. You can travel, make new

friends and have a new life."

Yoel looked at Amelia's eyes which were filled with emotions and knew that he had succeeded in

misleading her.

However, he quickly made his words sound even more vague. If Amelia insisted on clinging to him in

the future, he would be able to explain his way out of it.

"You're right!"

Amelia nodded.

She sat there and looked at Yoel, who was a few years younger than Valerie, lying on the bed. Her

heart was in turmoil.

Amelia had always felt that she was mature and elegant. She tried her best to dress herself up as a

woman with good taste. She had always believed that this way, she would appear charming.

She even felt that Yoel had submitted to her because of this.

"Yes, Auntie Harington, as long as you want, I will support you." Yoel raised the corner of his mouth and

smiled. "By the way, I have a friend who is a private guide. I can introduce him to you. Wherever you

go, he can accompany you and act as both your translator and guide."

"Alright."

Amelia looked at Yoel and felt that her life was already a mess. Suddenly, she saw a glimmer of hope.

"Auntie Harington, I'm a little tired. I'll go back to sleep now."

Yoel knew that he had already said everything that needed to be said. The rest would be up to Amelia

herself.

Of course, he was also tired of looking at her, so he quickly found an excuse to make her leave.

"Okay, you should take a rest. I'm planning to visit Valerie tomorrow."

When Amelia left, she carefully covered Yoel with the blanket.

The next day, Amelia went to visit Valerie.

This time, Valerie appeared with shorter hair than before, but she looked much better.

"What's the matter?" Valerie came out and talked to Amelia on the phone. Her face was cold and her

expression was indifferent.

It was as if a stranger had come to visit her.

"Valerie, it's me, your mother. How are you doing?"

Amelia looked at Valerie, and her heart ached for her. After all, she was still her own daughter.

The daughter of a prestigious family was now a prisoner. As her mother, she couldn't even stand this,

not to mention Valerie herself.

"I'm fine. I've never been so good."

As Valerie spoke, her voice became different. She used to use a slightly higher tone while speaking,

which made it sound very soft and very pleasant to the ears.

Now her tone sounded slightly lowers and horse, not pleasing to the ear enough, but real.

"Valerie, I know you're just saying that because you're angry. Skylar wants to sue you again, and he

even has the recording of you from the hospital. I want to look for a lawyer, but no one dared to take up

this case..."

"There's no need, I don't need a lawyer. Isn't it a life sentence? I've already been sentenced to sixteen

years, so what's four more years?"

Before Amelia could finish her words, Valerie had already cut her off.

"Valerie, why do you say that? That's four years of your youth."

"Youth? My youth already ended when I ran over Coralie's father. From that moment on, I've been

living in a nightmare!"

Valerie roared into the phone.

"What..."

"Do you know how many nightmares I had when I first went abroad to study? Every night, I dreamed of

the Chariott family. I saw him pleading to me with his eyes full of expectation, telling me to save him."

"When I finally stopped dreaming, I still didn't dare to stay alone at night. I had to go to bars with lots of

people. When I slept at night, I would turn on all the lights. I was afraid that the Chariott family would

come to me!"

"It took me many years to escape from misfortune, but one day when I suddenly knew that Coralie's

father was from the Chariott family, the nightmares came back again! Didn't you always ask me, why

wouldn't I turn off the lights when I was sleeping? It was because I was afraid of those nightmares!"

Valerie said forcefully as she held onto the receiver.

This was something that no one knew about. After all her wrongdoings, her heart had been filled with

fear.

This was the reason why she hated Coralie. The Chariott family had already destroyed Valerie's life,

and Coralie somehow managed to take away the person she loved!

"How could this be? Valerie, I don't blame you for that. You were still too young. It's understandable that

you did something irrational in a moment of panic. Don't blame yourself. You can put the blame on me.

I'm the one who bought you that car."

Amelia saw that Valerie's eyes were wide open. Her appearance was both a little fierce and terrifying

and Amelia was shocked.

Where did the elegant and beautiful Valerie go?

At that moment, the girl sitting opposite of her seemed to be a different person.

As Amelia listened to Valerie's inner thoughts, she still wanted to find a way out for Valerie. She still felt

that it was not her fault.

If Valerie wanted to blame someone, she would have to blame Amelia.

"Yes, it's your fault! I managed to escape. I went to visit Franklin to take responsibility for me. When

Franklin refused, I instantly realized my mistake. I went to find you, but you still suggested that Finley

should take the blame for me! If Finley had not been found, I would've turned myself in. My father can

put off the sentence for me!"

Valerie just found out that if she had only been sentenced to two years, she would not be required to go

to jail at all. She would've just needed to go to the police station regularly.

However, she was still too young back then. She had no idea about the law and she was clueless.

She just knew that she didn't want to go to jail no matter what.

Moreover, Amelia had also been trying her best to protect her at that time, telling her that she must not

go to jail.

Valerie thought about it a lot in prison. She suddenly felt that all this was really Amelia's fault!

"But you are a girl. Everyone will know if you have a record. I just wanted to protect you," Amelia said. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

"Yes, in order to protect me, I'm now sentenced to a lifetime in prison and you have been scammed by

a fake lawyer!"

Fake lawyer!

Amelia knew that Valerie was referring to Yoel.

"He is not a fake lawyer."

"Huh?" Valerie looked at Amelia, who was still being deceived by Yoel, and sneered. "Do you know why

everything went smoothly before the second trial? Do you think that he was the one who came up with

the idea?"

"Wasn't it him?"

"That fake lawyer had brought a woman with him before, saying that the woman was his assistant.

However, when she spoke, I found out that the woman was the real lawyer and the man you hired was

a scammer!"

Valerie was still sharp when it came to character judgement. She had exposed Yoel ruthlessly!

However, Amelia had fallen into the trap without her even realizing it. She didn't want to listen to

Valerie's words at all.

"Valerie, when the lawyers in A City were not willing to help, he was the only one who was willing to

help me. I tried so hard to help you so you can't say that to me."

"Huh? You're annoyed because you think I'm criticizing him, right?" Valerie was a shrewd girl. Even if

she did not look into it, she could still guess what Yoel was doing. She pressed her face against the

glass wall as she stared at Amelia.

"Tell me, what's the relationship between the two of you?" She asked.

Valerie's question was very blunt.
