You Complete Me novel (Skylar and Coralie)

Chapter 144

Chapter 144

"Andrew? Why are you here?"

Josephine Lowell had never dreamed that Andrew Jordan would come to pick her up.

Andrew was unperturbed. He knew that Josephine would certainly not tell her parents that he had

angered her. Thus, he said, "I think that you are too happy in your parents' home until you had

forgotten all about me. But I miss you. Didn't you miss me at all?"

Andrew was great at coaxing women.

Josephine knew that it was a lie, but she liked it. She blushed and let Andrew in.

The first person whom Andrew saw when he entered the room was Coralie Chariott. He narrowed his

eyes and looked at Coralie before saying, "What a coincidence. Coralie is here too."

His expression was natural as though he was genuinely surprised to see Coralie after a long time.

Josephine's parents didn't know how Andrew had usually treated their daughter. When they saw their

son-in-law, they stood up and invited him generously, "Andrew, have you had lunch? Come, take a seat

and eat with us."

Coralie was there, so she had no choice but to make space for Andrew.

Josephine's son was sitting there. He didn't respond when he saw Andrew. Instead, he turned around

and called Josephine, "Mommy, Mommy." Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

"Josephine, get a set of cutlery and tableware for Andrew."

Josephine's mother said.

"Okay."

When Josephine saw how welcoming her parents were toward Andrew, she thought of all the things

that Andrew had put her through before and she felt incredibly upset.

Andrew stared at Coralie, "Coralie, are you here for Josephine?"

"Coralie bought a house for her parents around here. So I called her over to have a meal together.

Weren't you all good friends in college?"

Before Coralie could speak, Josephine's mother had enthusiastically explained to Andrew.

"Wow, not bad. You bought a house."

Andrew looked at Coralie, his expression complicated.

Coralie realized that something was off and she explained, "I sold my mother's previous house. She

bought the house herself. I only contributed some money."

"Wasn't your mother's house caught in a fire before this? Could you still sell it?"

Howard Schultz had told Andrew about the fire.

Josephine put a plate in front of Andrew and said, "Don't worry about Coralie. She could handle her

own affairs."

Josephine felt sorry for Coralie when she thought of what had happened before. Now that Andrew had

known about her relocation, even Josephine felt scared.

She was also afraid that Andrew, who was greedy, would start to plot against her.

After all, Andrew had changed.

......

After dinner, Andrew, Coralie, and Josephine went downstairs together. Josephine held her son in her

arms while Andrew's hands were empty.

Coralie couldn't stand it anymore, "Andrew, you're the father of the child and you're a grown-up man.

How could you just watch her and do nothing?"

Andrew glanced at Coralie, "It's her job, isn't it?"

"I'm fine," Josephine said quickly, "I'm used to it. I will be worried if he's the one holding the child."

Coralie looked at Josephine and sighed.

Andrew looked at Coralie and recalled the conversation just now. Of course, he did not believe that

Coralie's mother had bought the house on her own. He smirked, "Coralie, your rich husband must have

bought the house for your mother. When are you going to lend me some money then?"

"Andrew, I hope that you could understand that Josephine is my friend, but you're not."

Coralie wasn't polite to Andrew. After all, he was a shameless man leeching off his wife.

He was not worthy of Josephine.

Andrew was not angry, "You're doing great now that you put Howard in prison. Mark my words, your

happiness won't last for long."

"That has nothing to do with you."

After saying goodbye to Josephine, Coralie then left.

Josephine was delighted that Andrew had come to bring her home.

However, the moment she opened the door, she finally understood why Andrew had come to bring her

home.

The whole house was permeated with an awful smell. Dirty clothes and socks were sprawled on the

sofa. The trash can was overflowing with disposable food packaging and there were piles of bowls in

the basin. The house was in a mess.

As soon as Andrew entered the house, he took off his socks and commanded, "Honey, hurry up and

work. I'll go to bed first."

After that, he went to bed and fell asleep immediately.

Josephine stood there frozen as she looked at the dirty clothes in the room, the rubbish all over the

floor, and the bowls in the basin. She thought of how her parents would prepare the meals at home,

and she didn't need to do housework or even wash her own plates.

Josephine couldn't help but burst into tears.

The princess at home had to serve Andrew like a servant here.

"Mommy, don't cry."

The child saw her crying and he reached out to grab her pants, comforting her.

Josephine lowered her head and looked at her son's cute little face. She wiped her tears and said, "I

didn't cry. I just got some sand in my eyes. Go to sleep first. I will clean up the house and play with you

in the afternoon, okay?"

"Okay."

The child nodded and lay down on his bed.

It was said that children from low-income families tend to be more independent and mature. He had

seen his mother's hard work and he was sensible enough not to create any trouble.

Josephine wiped her tears away and started to clean the house. Andrew had probably slept late

yesterday since he didn't get up until late in the evening.

As soon as he woke up, the first sentence that he said was, "Have you made dinner?"

Josephine glanced at Andrew and said, "I haven't finished cleaning yet."

Andrew snarled, "You're so slow. What are you even good at?"

After saying that, he put on a shirt and turned on the computer to play games. He did not talk to his son

too.

When she looked at Andrew, who was smoking while playing games, and then at her son who was

playing Lego, Josephine suddenly had a strong desire to divorce Andrew.

......

Lillian Ford was not at ease because she had gone ahead and decided on the engagement date with

Amelia Harington without consulting Skylar Holland prior. Although she had sent a text message to

Skylar, he did not reply to her. Therefore, she called him.

As soon as the call was connected, Lillian said ingratiatingly, "Skylar, did you see the text message that

I had sent before? I told Valerie's mother that on October 29th, you and Valerie would..."

"This matter is still undecided. I don't want to talk about it."

Before Lillian could even finish her words, Skylar had already interrupted her.

"Why not? You and Valerie have been good friends since young. Besides, Valerie has lost one of her

legs because of Coralie. Don't tell me that you loathe her because of that? If Coralie hadn't visited the

church to pray that day, would this matter have happened?"

In fact, it was Valerie who suggested the visit to the church. However, Lillian had been adamantly

convinced that this was all Coralie's fault. In her mind, Valerie had lost her leg because of Coralie.
