Chapter 55 Steel Resolution
Chapter 55 Steel Resolution
A vulgar, mean, disgusting snob…
Holding the cellphone, Liam’s hand trembled slightly.
So that was how Amber thought of him. Total aversion. All these flush, flutter and fantastic eye contacts
were nothing but a school girl’s instinctive reactions…How could he have misread the situation
between them so utterly?
Chocked by frustration, Liam failed to express himself.
His head swims with the anger that built up, simmered, soared, and then, dashed into infinite, stark
desperation.
He hung up the phone and made another call.
“Terminate all the operation arrangements for Pearl Currie and…” Liam paused, “Inform her family
members immediately.”
Pearl Currie only had one family member—Amber Currie.
He thought Amber would beg for his mercy. As a disgusting snob, he did not mind updating his proven
track records.
Liam’s car parked at the gate of South University in violation of traffic rules, criticized and cursed by
students badly.
However, Amber did not call him when it was late into night.
Two days passed and nothing was heard from Amber at all.
He found his mood caught on a wired down way spiral.
“Liam, you are back! I made your favorite filet steak…”
Another long day passed. When Liam stepped into his apartment with a porker face, Mia, in her lace
apron and exquisite light makeup, greeted him with long pent-up joy. As if she had been waited at the
door for ever.
For two days, Liam was steering clear of her, leaving her on pins and needles. Was her secrete
disclosed? God, no! Hardly remembering what she had done in the bar, she shuddered at the
possibility of being witnessed and reported.
Liam frowned at Mia’s proximity and held her waist effortlessly to avoid her kiss.
Mia turned off the light and light up the lavish dinner with candles on silver candlesticks.
Liam felt almost guilty to let down all these delicate entertainment and beautiful, sweet Mia.
Unfortunately, he could not shift the mood however he tried.
Liam was feeling down again. Mia sensed that. Suppressing the butterflies on her stomach, Mia
decided to step up her charm. She took off the apron to reveal her killing dress.
A sexy low-cut cocktail dress decorated with three dazzling rhinestones.
Mia exerted her movements to maximize the dazzling radiance.
As expected, Liam smiled: “Why dress up like this?”
Mia lowered her head and smiled through the lashes: “It is been a long time since our last romantic
dinner. So I dress up a little bit.” Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
She gazed at Liam expectedly. To her disappointment, he only gave a light smile and lowered his head
again.
God, what a Sphinx! Torn by panic attack, Mia smoothed hair and grinned shyly: “Am I looking good?”
“Yes, you look ravishing.” Liam glanced at her dress and complimented politely.
He did not even look at her bust or her face!
Burnt with sadness, Mia was still wearing a smile. However, a glimmer of desperate resolution lighted
up her eyes.
