A bad morning
The buzzing sound from the alarm kept disturbing her, she yelled for Emma but she didn’t show up. The sound continued and she couldn’t take it anymore, she got up and turned off herself.
The first thing she noticed was the headache she was feeling, then she felt throbbing pains in her legs. Last night was a very terrible night, and she had cried herself to sleep. She gradually took her time to step on the ground to reduce the pain she felt. As Mia stood on her feet she heard a vibration and then her ringtone, she wanted to ignore the call since her feet were still hurting but then she remembered It might be from Antonio which made her rush go where it was.
When she picked us up her phone, sgesaw it was from her boss, she was upset,
What does he want now, she thought.
But she took it, just in case It was important.
“Miss Mia, you are fired.” She heard, for some seconds she froze at the same spot not wanting to believe what she heard.
Before she could ask what was wrong the call went dead
What just happened? she thought to herself.
“Oh No!” She screamed so loud as she started sobbing.
Mia fell on her knees as she thought of you must have been responsible for her being sacked, she had not done anything wrong to deserve that and for all she could recall she was on good terms with her boss the previous day when Antiono had come to sign the papers.
Had Antiono ordered for her to be sacked?
No, he couldn’t do that, especially when they had a swell time together even though Wilson had messed things up by coming.
She couldn’t take it, she needed to confirm if it was really the Boss or must be a mistake. She rushed into the bathroom as she quickly took a shower and got dressed immediately. She was ready in no time and thought of seeing Ariel before leaving.
She knocked on Ariel’s room door calling out to her but she didn’t get any response. She tried again and again but still got no response.
” She won’t open up for you.”
Mia turned to look, to see it was Emma
” She’s still sad about last night, right?”
Emma nodded as she walked to hug herr. They freed theirselves after some seconds and Emma said,
“Don’t worry about her, Just give her some time. She will get over it.”
“How soon? I’m worried about her.”
“Don’t get so worked up. Ariel can’t stay away from her mother.”
” I hope so Emma. I miss her already.”
“You’re leaving for work so early?”
” Yes…I have to do something.”
She rushed out of the house with Emma calling her to have breakfast but she couldn’t hear. My mind was filled with thoughts and questions she needed answer to.
Outside, just at the porch. She met face to face with Wilson. He wore the same clothes safe had seen him with the previous nights, one look at him and she knew he slept there.
” What are you doing?”she asked, keeping a safe distance to avoid his bad morning breath.
“I told you already. I’m not going to leave you or our daughter?” He sounded honest but Mia knew it was all an act.
” Our daughter? She’s my daughter and she has a father.”
” What do you mean by she has a father? Were you cheating during our courtship?”
” I should ask you that, seeing you were in bed with someone just before our wedding.”
“Please don’t remind me about that. I told you I’m really sorry.”
“Cut off the act and leave my house, Wilson.”
“I’m sorry but I’m not leaving till you accept me back.”
She looked at him and knew it was useless talking to him about leaving. Emma would take care of him when she finds him but first she needed to go to work and find Antiono just for Ariel’s sake.
She stopped a cab and entered it, her actions made Wilson shocked as he watched the cab zoom off leaving piles of dust behind.
She got to the office but wasn’t allowed into the building by the securities because they were given an instruction not to allow her in.

” What are you doing here?” She looked up to see Aaron, this was the first time she was seeing him after 5 years.
” It’s you, ” she gleamed in delight even though she didn’t understand why she was so excited to see him.
” I used to work here, till I was sacked.”
” This is the same company Antiono had a project with?”
” Yes …I’m his personal assistant on the project.”
” I know, he talked about it but why are you sacked?”
” The manager called to tell me I was fired.”
” Antiono didn’t give such an order, I’m sure he will be surprised to hear this from you .”
” Then who must have done something like that?” She asked no one in particular.
That was when she remembered Charlotte, She was the only one who could instruct the manager to fire her.
“Don’t worry Mia, I would talk to Antonio about it. Just go home and rest. It’s important you rest, you don’t look too good.” Aaron said as he offered to help her up the pavement but she declined politely.
He left her after she assured him she would leave immediately she put herself in order.
As he left, Mia thought of a way to apologize to Antonio. She tried calling him but he didn’t answer. Mia knew he was deliberately ignoring her call.
She could only wish he could give her a chance, her mind quickly narrowed vti why Wilson had showed up in her house
Was Charlotte also responsible for that? She thought.
It was possible because she had met Wilson few times, maybe the both of them had planned to ruin her meeting with Antiono.
