Chapter 1774
Taking a deep breath, Ariana forced herself not to dwell on the matter and continued to comfort Adele.
After a while, a waiter approached Ariana with a plate.novelbin
Adele thought her strawberry pancakes had finally arrived.
She looked up with a smile, but when she saw it wasn’t food, she lowered her head once more.
The waiter placed two gift boxes on the table.
Each gift box had many small compartments, each sealed with brightly colored paper.
When the paper was opened, different small gifts could be found in each compartment, such as special Christmas candies, cakes, and classic garage kits.
Ariana was a bit surprised, realizing the gift boxes must have been quite expensive.
She quickly said to the waiter, “Sorry, I didn’t order these gift boxes.
Did you bring them to the wrong table?”
“Mr.
Fredrick asked the restaurant to prepare these gift boxes for you.
They were meant to be delivered upstairs later, but since you are here, I brought them to you now,” the waiter clarified.
He pointed to one of the boxes and said, “This one is for Melon.
”
Ariana finally understood the situation.
She thanked the waiter and set Melon’s gift box aside.
Adele was delighted to see it was a gift from her father.
She reached into one of the compartments with her small fingers and pulled out a piece of chocolate shaped like an elk.
“Wow!” Adele exclaimed, clearly happy with the gift.
She bit off the elk’s chocolate horns and offered a part of the chocolate to Ariana.
The two of them chatted happily.
Yet, despite this, a feeling of unease crept into Ariana’s heart.
She couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was still watching her.
Ariana lifted her head and scanned the area but spotted no one suspicious.
She then turned her attention elsewhere.

Outside the entrance, several towering bodyguards clad in black were on duty.
Their job was to scrutinize the identity of each person who came to dine, ensuring no suspicious individuals slipped inside.
Feeling reassured, Ariana breathed a sigh of relief.
She scooped up Adele and put her onto her lap, and together, they joyfully played with toys.
The eerie, watchful eyes that had unsettled Ariana earlier disappeared.
Soon, Adele pulled another garage kit from the gift box.
After playing for a short while, she stopped rummaging through the box, clutching her stomach and wincing in discomfort.
“Mommy, my belly hurts,” she said.
“Do you need to use the restroom?” Ariana asked gently.
Adele nodded, her face reddening.
Without hesitation, Ariana carried her to the restroom.
Ariana stood by the restroom door, intermittently talking to her daughter.
“Adele, are you alright in there?” she called out, concern lacing her voice.
“Do you need my help?”
