Unconscious Husband: Meet Her Love In Silence

Chapter 1722

“We have not been idle.

We have, in fact, given it our all.noveldrama

All have tried to find a treatment for Miss Edwards throughout this time, but her body has really reached its limit.

“Shut up! She can’t die.

She won’t die!” Holden lifted his head, roaring.

His bloodshot eyes blazed with fury and desperation as if he would physically attack the doctor.

But he only glared at him, clutching Ariana protectively in his arms, issuing a terse command.

“Get out.

Struggling to his feet, Holden tried to carry Ariana to find Mitchel, but his strength was already gone, and he was on the verge of collapse.

He tried multiple times but failed every time.

When Holden found himself falling to the floor and half-kneeling once more, he touched Ariana’s face, his hands shaking violently.

“You can’t be so heartless as to leave me and the children,” Holden said.

Clutching Ariana’s hand tightly, he pleaded, “Ariana, please hold on.

I promise to save you.

Perched on the edge of Ariana’s bed, Holden teetered on the verge of a breakdown.

Tears rolled down his cheeks, soaking his collar.

Despite the elapsed time, Holden remained stunned by the reality.

Only moments before, he and Ariana had been engaged in lively conversation in the ward, her radiant smile still vivid in his memory.

Now, she Lay motionless, her once-bright eyes closed and unresponsive to his frantic pleas.

Holden collapsed onto the floor, his mind clouded with a chaotic mixture of grief and guilt.

“It’s entirely my fault,” he murmured, his eyes hollow as he stared at Ariana.

“I’m sorry.

This is all my fault.

I should never have left your side.

Had he not gone to the kitchen, if he had stayed with her, perhaps this might not have happened.

At that moment, he wished for someone to appear and tell him this was merely a nightmare, that Ariana was not truly gone but simply playing a cruel joke.

He longed to wake up and find her alive and well.

Yet, the brutal truth remained.

Ariana had truly left him.

Thinking of this, Holden felt an unseen force tightening around his heart.

An unbearable pain engulfed him, suffusing every part of his being and leaving him gasping for air.

“Mr.

Fredrick,” a physician began hesitantly, wanting to tell Holden something, but Holden cut him off with a thunderous roar.

“Silence!” With eyes blazing, Holden clung to Ariana, his voice quivering.

“Leave now!”

The medical staff recoiled in fear, saying, “Mr.

Fredrick, we have done everything possible.

Sorry for your loss.

“Get out!” Holden sprang to his feet, flinging a bedside device at their feet.

“You are all useless! Ariana isn’t dead! All of you, get out!”

As Holden’s furious outburst echoed through the ward, the room rapidly cleared, leaving only two figures behind.

The disturbance drew the attention of those outside.

Devin arrived with the two children, only to be met with the chaos and Ariana’s lifeless form.

Shocked, he tried to leave with the children, but it was too late.

Melon broke free from his hold and rushed toward Holden, eyes wide with horror.

“Daddy, what happened to Mommy?” Melon’s voice quavered with fear.

Yet, cradling Ariana in his arms, Holden remained silent, his spirit seemingly departed.

Seeing Holden’s devastated state, Melon fought back tears, stepping back.

He tugged at Devin’s sleeve, saying, “Devin, look at my mother.

What happened to her?”

Adele, equally anxious, looked at Devin with the same pleading eyes as Melon.

Considering that the children were still very young, Devin hesitated, crouching to envelop them in a comforting embrace.

Fighting back his tears, he said, “Don’t worry.

Your mother is just very tired.

Let her rest.

“Mommy!” Melon sobbed, tears flowing freely.

Despite his youth, he grasped the gravity of the situation.

He knew Ariana could no longer hold on anymore.

She had left them, forever.
