Turning Of The Tide (Natalie and Trevon)

Chapter 714

Chapter 714

Meanwhile, the two people who were being talked about online were not bothered and had gone to the church they had visited before.

As they left the church, the two of them walked side by side on the steps. Jasper lowered his head and leaned close to Ruby's ear to ask her what she had prayed for. Ruby looked up at him playfully and smiled, refusing to tell him.

Just as Jasper pinched her face gently and was about to speak, Ruby's phone rang. The call was from her assistant, who was calling to congratulate Ruby.

Ruby held Jasper's wrist as they walked down the stairs. Ruby answered the person on the other end of the phone with a smile. After a while, it seemed like someone else had taken over the call on the other end. The voice coming from the other end of the phone was now of a higher pitch.

It was Paula who had snatched the phone. Ruby could hear Paula's excitement through the phone. "Fuck, Ruby... What should I call you now? You're from Onlybr's Studio? Ruby Blackwell? From the Blackwell family? The company's designer and the boss' wife?

This information was too much for Paula. Paula had thought that Ruby was just an intern and figured that Ruby might know someone with influence who could help her to enter the company to learn some things. Paula had not imagined this.

Paula had just wanted to go to the washroom but she had overheard Winnie on the phone. Others might not have understood Winnie's vague conversation, but Paula could. Paula had then immediately snatched Winnie's phone from her.

Ruby turned to look at Jasper, who was listening quietly. Ruby smiled and replied, "As far as you're concerned, I'm just Ruby. Just call me Ruby."

Paula couldn't believe she had thrown a tantrum with her boss' wife, complaining that it was unfair and wanting to compete with her for the assistant position. 'My brain must be fried.' Paula thought.

After exchanging a few words, Ruby hung up, emphasizing that they would get along as they had.

From Ruby's words, Jasper understood what was going on. Before Jasper could say anything, he received a message from his enthusiastic mother-in-law, [Jasper, today you're considered newlyweds. You can do whatever you like tonight, and you both don't have to come home. Hackett has agreed.]

After reading the message, the corners of Jasper's lips curled into a beautiful arc. It was as dazzling as the warm sun. Jasper handed the phone to Ruby with a faint smile.

Ruby did not understand what was going on, so she looked down and read her mother's message. Ruby didn't know what to say about her mother.

Jasper replied with one hand, [Thank you, Sherri. I got it.]

Sherri replied, [Yes, have fun.]

Jasper responded, [Okay.]

Neither Jasper nor Ruby went to the office. When the two of them left the church, it was already past four in the afternoon, so they went to Grand Manor for dinner.

After leaving Grand Manor, Jasper drove Ruby to Evergreen Gardens in his white Lamborghini.

Evergreen Gardens had two buildings. One of the buildings was a gift from Natalie's brother. Trevon had bought the other building. On the way there, Jasper was wondering which house to take Ruby to.

Jasper tapped his fingers rhythmically on the steering wheel. He held Ruby's hand with his other hand and squeezed it. Ruby saw that he was thinking about something and asked gently, "Where are we going?"

Jasper asked, "Do you want to go to Evergreen Gardens or Phoenix Manor?"

"Which house do you have the key to?" Ruby's voice was soft and buzzing like a mosquito, but Jasper still heard her.

Jasper answered very quickly, as if nothing was wrong, "Neither."

Ruby was silent, thinking, 'So he doesn't have the key to his own house? This isn't a good habit. Even if he has good skills, he shouldn't be using them all the time. Although practice makes perfect, this isn't something to show off about.'

Considering that Evergreen Gardens was not remote and that Phoenix Manor was relatively far from the city, Jasper finally chose Evergreen Gardens so that they could go to work tomorrow.

Ruby was not unfamiliar with his mother's house because she had childhood memories there. Ultimately, Jasper chose the larger place, which belonged to his father.

It was rush hour, and the roads were congested. An hour later, Jasper's sports car finally arrived at Evergreen Gardens.

After parking the car, Jasper magically took out a small suitcase from the trunk.

Ruby stood at the side of the car door and waited. Seeing that there was something else in his hand, she was a little curious. "When did you prepare that?"

"It's always been there," Jasper answered.

Jasper was not lying. Jasper had always had the habit of leaving things in the trunk in case he had to go on a last-minute business trip. He did not like the anxious feeling of having to buy things at the last minute.

Seeing that Ruby was still staring at him, Jasper realized she had probably misunderstood. Jasper explained, "I've always kept it there in case I need it for a last-minute business trip."

Jasper had Ruby's clothes in the suitcase once they had started dating.

Ruby understood and nodded.

Jasper pushed the suitcase with one hand and held Ruby's hand with his other, bringing her into the house his father had bought. After a while, Jasper finally opened the door. Ruby stood at the side and did not enter immediately. She said hesitantly, "Jasper, it's so difficult to unlock. Could it be Trevon's private domain? Why don't we go somewhere else?"

"No need. There's no problem if I can open it. Don't think too much about it." Jasper answered.

'It's just a house, and it's not like we'll be looking through his stuff. What problem could there be?' Jasper thought.

This was the first time Ruby was in this place. Ultimately, she listened to Jasper and followed him in. "Did Trevon buy two houses and merge them?"

The area looked a little big.

Jasper looked around and nodded. Jasper replied calmly, "Yes, he's rich."

Out of curiosity, Ruby wandered around the room. The interior design was simple, but it was obvious that Trevon had put a lot of effort into it. Jasper took a fancy to his father's room at a glance

and walked straight to the room. He retrieved some sheets from the cabinet and prepared to change the bed sheets.

When Ruby turned to the master bedroom, she saw Jasper changing the sheets. She placed her bag on the bedside table to help. Jasper did not refuse and it felt like they were behaving like a husband and wife.

The corners of the sheets which they were both holding trembled. Ruby laughed like a child. She was very happy, and her eyes were filled with happiness.

After laying out the sheets, Jasper took Ruby's pajamas out of the bag and handed them to her. "Go take a shower first."

Ruby took the pajamas and smiled. She did not ask Jasper why her pajamas were in the suitcase.

The room was very clean. It was clear that Trevon asked someone to clean it regularly. When Jasper came in, he touched the furniture with his fingertips, and there had been no dust.

After a while, the sound of running water came from the bathroom, making Jasper a little restless. He took off his coat and rolled up his sleeves, revealing his skin. Jasper had planned to smoke, but when he thought about how Ruby did not like the smell, he dismissed the idea. He could only unbutton two buttons on his neck to cool down.

Jasper felt that this room might have his parents' memories, which was why his father would ask someone to clean it regularly and was unwilling to sell it.

However, his parents were living at the Wilson's residence now. Whether it was this place or Phoenix Manor, they were all empty, and it was a bit of a waste.

Half an hour later, Ruby walked out as she wiped off her wet hair. Ruby was so focused on wiping her hair that she did not notice the rug under her feet and almost fell. Jasper quickly rushed up and

held her waist. "Oh!" Ruby let out a yelp.

After Ruby steadied herself, Jasper reminded her gently, "Watch where you're going."

Jasper brought Ruby to the edge of the bed and sat her down. He then went into the bathroom to get the hairdryer.

When Jasper came out of the bathroom, he already had a white hairdryer in his hand. He raised the hairdryer and studied it. It was a quality hairdryer, so he wanted to look at the temperature control to avoid hurting Ruby. When he raised the hairdryer and looked up, he inadvertently saw a red flower on the ceiling. It was lifelike, like a real flower blooming on the ceiling. It was pretty and dazzling, so much so that it was difficult to ignore.

Jasper quickly lowered his eyes and looked away. His mind was spinning. He was wondering where this flower had come from. Jasper recalled that when he entered the room earlier, he had first looked around the master bedroom, including the ceiling, and there were no flowers. NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

'So where did it come from?' Jasper wondered.

Since they entered the room, it seemed like Ruby was the only one who had shouted. 'Voice control? If someone speaks, will the flower blossom?' Jasper wondered.

Jasper couldn't believe this. His mind could not help but think of this voice control system from another angle. 'Dad's a little too much. Is this why he never let us stay at Evergreen Gardens before?' Jasper thought.

The hairdryer whirred. It was not loud and was very soft. Jasper's thoughts drifted away. For some reason, he wanted to understand this well. Hidden from Ruby's view, Jasper's lips curled up into a smile.

A few minutes later, Jasper tried not to look up at the ceiling in case Ruby discovered it. He slid his fingers to her scalp to feel if her hair was dry enough. "Yes, that's enough. Watch your show while I take a shower." Jasper told her.

"Okay," Ruby answered.

Ruby also touched her hair with her hand and tidied it before answering obediently.

Jasper had other thoughts. He took out his iPad from his bag and carefully turned on the show that Ruby often watched. He placed it on her knees and covered her with the blanket. Then, Jasper placed a pillow at her waist, patting the top of her head lovingly.

After doing all this, Jasper took his pajamas into the bathroom. He stood in the bathroom and looked at the flower on the ceiling. Jasper narrowed his eyes and suddenly noticed there was a display screen in the corner displaying the number one.

Jasper felt he had underestimated his father, shocked that he could even have a mechanism with such a function. Ruby had let out a yelp earlier, so the display showed the number one.

'There's such a thing?' Jasper thought.

Fifteen minutes later, a white towel was wrapped around Jasper's waist. His upper body was bare, and his skin was exposed. There were still water droplets on his chest that rolled down his body and into the towel at his waist.

Jasper had neat abs and well-defined V-lines. His entire body exuded masculinity. Ruby was watching the exciting part of her show when she suddenly felt a burning gaze staring at her. She slowly looked up and saw Jasper, who was half-naked.

Jasper had a good figure. Ruby stared at him for a few seconds before calmly patting the side of the bed. She planned to help him dry his hair, so she said softly, "Come here. What are you looking at?"

Hearing this, Jasper walked over and obediently sat down next to her. Ruby turned off the tablet and placed it aside. She knelt on the bed and picked up the hairdryer on the bedside table to dry his hair.

Her fingers were very slender and soft. With every touch, Ruby seemed to be adjusting the temperature, and Jasper felt warmer, his Adam's apple bobbing.

Ruby, who was helping to dry his hair, did not notice Jasper's abnormal reaction. She was still drying his hair and playing with the ends. His hair was very black and thick, unlike Liam's hair, which looked like straw since it had been dyed too many times.

After her unintentional touch, Jasper could no longer hold back. To prevent her from seeing the flower on the ceiling, he turned off the light. Instantly, the room fell into darkness.

Just as Ruby was about to ask Jasper to wait, his kiss had already landed. Ruby wanted to call out, but all the words she wanted to say were stuck in her throat. All that was left was the sound of their lips and their breathing.

The iPad was mercilessly thrown onto the carpet. Immediately after, the pajamas landed atop the iPad, closely followed by his towel. The things that were thrown to the ground were piled messily.

After kissing for a long time, Jasper stared at Ruby with red eyes and asked in a hoarse voice, "Can we not play music tonight?"

Ruby was in a daze. The corners of her eyes were shining. She blushed and nodded. "Yes." She wrapped her arms tightly around his neck.

Jasper was ecstatic when she agreed. Jasper was used to using music so that Ruby wouldn't be so shy. Today, for once, she had agreed not to play music.

Jasper just wasn't sure if Ruby would hit him when she woke up tomorrow and saw the flowers blooming all over the ceiling.
