Trapped In The Arms Of The Billionaire

It’s been a week since we came back home and I’m very grateful because Agatha is recovering already, the doctor said that her condition is improving. There are only days that she is still crying because she still can’t forget the loss of our child.

We haven’t been able to talk properly, especially about us and what happened. I don’t want to rush her because I know she’s still in the healing stage, I’m willing to wait for the right time that we could already talk.  I will always support and understand her until she’s completely healed.

I’m on my way home now, because I went to the office because there is an important meeting scheduled today. Agatha is in the house with her nurse so I don’t need to worry about her because I know she’s in good hands.

And as for my older brother Luke, I keep looking for him. My private investigator told me that he is just here and he didn’t go to another country so I still hope that day will come when he will come back again.

When I parked my car I quickly entered the house, I found Agatha eating with her nurse.

“You’re already here Sir.” her nurse suddenly said when she saw me.

Agatha quickly looked at me and I approached them. “How are you?” I asked her.

“I’m okay.” She answered me briefly.

“Did you take your medicine? ” I asked and sat down next to her.

I also went with them to eat because I also felt hungry.

FASTFORWARD ..

I had just come out of the bathroom when I saw Agatha sitting quietly on the bed. “Why are you still awake?” I asked her.

“I am not yet sleepy.” she answered.

I walked over to the cabinet and grabbed a shirt then put it on. And then I sat on the side of the bed.

“Are you okay? I mean are you comfortable here?” I asked her.

She looked at me and nodded. “Why?”

“I just thought that if you are not comfortable sleeping here, you can stay in your room.” I said.

“I’m okay here, don’t worry about me.”

A few minutes of silence prevailed between the two of us.

“Agatha.”

“Ethan.”

We promised at the same time and looked at each other.

“That ah, go on.”

“I’m sorry.” I whispered softly that it was just right for her to hear.

“I know how much guilt I have for what happened.” I added.

I saw her bow down her head. “Honestly I blame you for what happened especially to our unborn child because you are not there when we  need you more and at the same time I also blame myself for not being careful when I know that I’m pregnant.”

“It’s not your fault Agatha, I’m the reason why you’re stressed. Because of what I did, I blame and push you away. That’s why it all happened. But you know that I didn’t want that to happen, if I only knew you were pregnant I would have taken care of you Well, if I had let you explain the baby wouldn’t have gone. I believed what I saw and what Melissa said more than you. ”

“I didn’t know you called or texted me that day because I left my phone at the hospital and when I asked Melissa if someone called me she said no one, I also checked my phone but I saw nothing. If I only knew that you called and asked for help even if we weren’t okay I wouldn’t hesitate to go home that day.” I said.

“There’s nothing we can do now because it already happened and even if we regret it we won’t be able to get the life of our child back. As a mother it hurts me that the child was taken away from me this early and I know so do you. It’s hard to accept the fact but I know I can’t do anything about it. All I want now is to go back to my normal life, I don’t want to get insane.” she said

“I will not allow that to happen Agatha, I’ve already lost a child and I will go crazy if I will lose you also.” I said seriously.

“Sometimes I thought maybe we’re not really for each other, as you can see if we are trying to be together there is something bad happening.”

“W-what do you mean? That we are not for each other?” I asked her.

“Maybe? I don’t know.”

“We are making our own destiny, Agatha. Don’t tell me that you want to give up like what you did before? It’s just a test that comes to us so don’t be discouraged.” I exclaimed.

“I -I don’t know what to think anymore.”

“I understand if you think like that because of what happened is still fresh but I believe that everything will be okay at the right time. I just hope you will not give up on us. You know I will do everything so that you will forgive me, I will not rush you in that matter and I’m willing to wait.” I said.

She looked at me sadly. “I can’t forgive you right now Ethan because the pain is still here, it’s still fresh in my mind. My trust in you has diminished because you’ve also turned your back on me when I need someone to lean on. I thought you were the first person to believe me but you didn’t, you failed me. ”

“As I told you I understand if you are not ready to forgive me and I’m willing to wait and do everything to gain your trust again. You know how much I love you Agatha.” I said.

“Time will come and the wound will also heal, especially the loss of our child. I know that day will come. I will learn to forgive and trust you again.”

I smiled at her. “I’ll wait for that thing to happen so don’t rush yourself. Just always remember that I’m just always here for you.” I whispered to her while smiling.

“Thank you Ethan.”

“For you Agatha, I will do everything. You need to rest, it’s already late.” I said and stood up.

“Where are you going?”

“Why? Don’t tell me you’ll miss me?” I said while laughing.

She threw a pillow at me and I quickly caught it.

“I’m just going to the other room, to my office.” I said.

“It’s already late, don’t tell me you’re still gonna work.”

“I just need to check something but I’ll be right back. So go to sleep now.” I said.

She nodded and lay down on the bed while I left the room.
