Ethan POV

I just cried and cried while Belle was helping me. I don’t know what to feel right now because of what I found out but it’s just more pain and grief because I didn’t even know that Agatha and I were going to have a baby and it was taken back from us immediately and now her condition is not well.

I feel so angry with Melissa for what she did, I haven’t even talked to her about dropping herself on the stairs and then this news about what happened to the woman I love and my unborn child. The pain is unbearable now. If Agatha called and messaged me at those times she needed my help, I’m sure Melissa knew that because I left my phone where her hospital room was. I will never forgive her for lying and ruining my family.

“I know it hurts for you to find out the truth Ethan and I’m sorry if I didn’t tell you this thing right away because I know that you will insist on going to Agatha and you see what happens when she sees you, that’s all I’m avoiding.” Belle said.

I’m not mad at her or even Zey and Gian for not telling me because I understand their reason, they just thought it would be good for Agatha. I was more mad with myself because I had done nothing to save my son.

“W-what did the doctor said? Isn’t she going to get better?” I asked my friend.

I saw her nod. “She just needs time to accept what happens to your child, you know it hurts more for a mother when her own child is gone. She is also suffering from depression.”

Soon the door opened and Zey entered with Gian, they were both surprised to see me.

“Ethan.” Zey said softly while Gian was just silent.

“He already knows the truth.” Belle’s promise.

“Good to hear that, so that he will also feel the pain of losing a child. I will not allow that only my best friend will suffer.” Zey’s strong promise.

“Enough Zey! Don’t blame Ethan for what happened because he’s just a victim too.” Gian groaned.

“She wouldn’t be a victim if he just listened and trusted Agatha, I know Melissa is your friend but it’s not right that he was just one sided. She has known Agatha very well and they have been together for many years but he chose another person rather than the woman he loves. We don’t need to be plastic here because we all know that Ethan hurt Agatha big time.” Zey exclaimed.

“That’s enough guys, we don’t need to fight with these things. Zey I know that you’re mad at me for what happened to your best friend so I understand why you’re saying those things because even I’m mad at myself too.” I said,

“Hep hep! Enough okay? No one wants us to have this thing happen, so please stop it already. Agatha and Ethan need us.” Belle groaned.

Zey didn’t speak anymore and remained silent in a corner. Soon the nurse came down.

“Ms. Belle, she’s awake.” she informed us.

Zey immediately went upstairs and we followed. I just stayed outside and didn’t even attempt to enter because Agatha might just go crazy when she saw me. I just stared at them while talking.

“Are you okay bro?” Gian asked me.

“I will just fool myself when I will say that I’m okay even though the truth isn’t really. I’m so worthless because I wasn’t able to take care of Agatha and save our child.” full of resentment that I said.

He touched my shoulder. “Everything has a reason, maybe it’s not the right time for you to have children..”

“I just can’t accept that this thing will happen to us.” I promise.

“Everything will be alright, just trust me.”

I also didn’t take long and said goodbye to leave and come back. I still need to talk to that woman. I can’t accept the fact that she is the reason why my soon to be family was ruined.

I drove home quickly and because it was still early there was no traffic. I got out of my car and went straight into the house to look for her but I couldn’t find her so I went to the pool area because I knew where she was.

“Melissa!” I call her name.

“Ethan, you’re already here.” she said with a smile.

“Fix your things now  and leave the house.” I seriously promise.

The smile in her lips immediately disappeared. “W-what do you mean Ethan? Can’t I be here anymore?”

“Do you think I’ll let you stay here at home after what you did?” I shouted angrily, I had been trying to stop myself from hurting her.

“W-what are you saying?”

“You think you can still fool me? I already know the truth Melissa , Agatha didn’t really push you down the stairs!” I shouted.

I shook my head. “The CCTV of my house doesn’t lie Melissa, the only thing I did wrong was that I didn’t look at it right away because I trust you a lot.”

“Ethan calm down please,”

“Stop it! Just leave!” I shouted at her.

“Ethan.” She was about to grab my arm when I pushed her hard which surprised her. I didn’t feel pity because my anger at her was more dominant because of what happened to Agatha and our child.

“Don’t make a drama anymore because I won’t buy it. I know you liked me when we were in college but I never thought that you could be this desperate to ruin my relationship with Agatha even if you already know how much I love her. I trusted you Melissa but now I don’t know if you can be trusted! I accepted you without any hesitation here in my house! I get mad with the woman I love for thinking she did something bad to you even though I knew she couldn’t hurt others! Do you know that because of your lies we lost our child? You know Agatha is pregnant, but you didn’t inform me about it, instead you make me believe that she hurts you.” full of resentment that I blamed her.

“Ethan.”

“Don’t talk anymore because I will never believe you! Do you know I want to hurt you and put you in jail now? The day Agatha needed me and I left my phone in the hospital she called  me right? But you didn’t tell me about it! She even texted me that she needs my help but you deleted it! How many times did I ask you if someone called me when I came back but you said no one! If it wasn’t for your selfishness my child would still be alive! I could have saved them both if you told me! So leave while I can still hold back, because maybe what else can I do to you. And starting today, forget that we are friends. I hate you Melissa, I hate you so much that I will never forget you! I said seriously.

“Ethan, please listen to me.” she begged.

“Just leave now! Choose Melissa, will you leave or I will call the police to put you in jail? You know me well, you know what Hernandez can do to you and your family.” I shouted loudly at her causing her to run inside.

She should make sure that she will leave my house immediately before I change my mind and I won’t hesitate to drag him to the guards.

I want to put her in jail but I know Agatha will not allow it, she is so kind to everyone. But I will not let Melissa get away from what she did to us, I will make sure that she will suffer big time. I will do everything to ruin their business.
