Their Magical But Deadly Journey

CHAPTER 5

SHE TOURED me all over their house after she went to see her Mommy. She greeted her and told me that her Mommy’s stomach suddenly hurt. Her Mommy was sure that what she ate was safe because she herself prepared it for herself.

Of course, that’s safe. I just did a little magic because I can’t meet her yet.

She guided me to their house from the kitchen, to the wide yard as well as to their backyard. Indeed, they are damn rich. Their house is so big!

“Wow, you have a lot of rooms, huh,” I commented when I saw their underground.

It’s like a library museum because of its size. It is round in shape and has a large bookshelf in the middle wall. Around it is a room.

They have a large underground and many rooms that you can live in. They may put other relatives to sleep here when they have a reunion.

“Yup, this room used to be mine.” She pointed to the small room next to the bookshelf. Just the door of the room I knew it was for her. The design of that door is unique and obviously feminine.

“It’s a pity because Grandma forbade me to hang out here.” I can sense the sadness in her voice.

“Why?” I curiously asked, still roaming my eyes around.

Its extent is unique. I feel like a dwarf because the extent is staggering. It’s like an open space but there are tools on each side. If you don’t look closely, you’ll think the doors are just design, but when you get closer you’ll see that there’s a bedroom behind it.

Their underground is wide so it is really wide.

She shrugged. “Lola threatened me not to come here and said someone would take a fairy from me.”

What? I looked at her but her eyes were just wandering.

Why did her Lola say that? What does her Grandmother know about fairies?

Maybe she noticed my confusion so he told me what his Grandmother said when she was caught hanging out here alone.

I was shocked. I never thought her Grandmother knew anything about fairies. And they have a legend! Her Lola even threatened her that a fairy would take her if she kept hanging out here.

If so, where is the tunnel of the fairies in case they try to take Sazharina?

I looked at the bookshelf. Come to think of it, for fairies like me to have a tunnel into the world of humans, it needs to be wide and dark. It must be just the right size to fit the fairies. It is also dark to speed up the journey of the fairies into the world of humans.

Is this bookshelf enough to be the tunnel of fairies?

“So, that’s it, since then Grandma hasn’t allowed me to come here. It’s only now that you’re with me again after ten years I guess?”

I was back in reverie when she spoke. She even chuckled while looking at me.

“Wow …” I said just after she told me about the underground. Honestly, I didn’t even listen to her clearly but I just said that so I could make up for the fact that I listened to her.

Sorry, Sazha, but your story is too much for me to understand. I wonder why she told me about this underground.

Does she trusts me that much?

She chuckled. “Unbelievable, right?

Indeed, unbelievable that even I cannot believe.

“Yes.” I nodded. “I mean, who wouldn’t believe that you have a hidden story underground?”

If I weren’t just a fairy, I might not believe her story.

“I was scared too, e. But I just remembered what Grandma said. Maybe when the time comes, she’ll be able to explain it to me as well.”

I didn’t reply. I just let the moment of silence to ensued us. I also stare around as I remember the detail of every corner of this underground.

Who knows I might use this, right? But of course not in a bad way.

“Come on, let’s get out of here,” I invited after I recorded the details of this underground in my mind.

I need to tell this to Dad, maybe he knows about this. If not, will he force me on Sazharina?

We climbed the stairs out of the underground but I didn’t notice that Sazha hadn’t followed me. I turned to her and saw her face turn pale as if she had seen something terrifying.

“Sazha?” I tapped her shoulders. She was still a little surprised so I couldn’t help but wonder.

What’s with her?

“Y-yes?”

“Are you okay? You look pale.”

She nodded. “Uh, yeah.”

She didn’t seem to be telling the truth but I just let her.

She looked horrified. She was pale and her eyes were also slightly widened, obviously shocked.

THE PARTY ended peacefully even though I often see Sazharina anxious. She also looks at our path to the underground as if you thought someone was chasing her. I tried asking her but she refused to answer. I just let her but I always look at him in case something happens.

Yeah, I admit, I’m worried about her.

I didn’t even do what Daddy wanted me to do with him. However, I have something to tell him.

I’m sure he knows about this. He’s a king of our kingdom. Even though he is not the ruler of the whole world of fairies, as the king of one of the kingdoms, I know he knows something. I’m sure he wouldn’t be king if he didn’t know enough about fairies.

Or maybe not…?

“I TOLD you, Dad! Sazha’s Grandma knows something about fairies. ”

Earlier I was telling the stories Sazharina told me at the party. After the party, I immediately informed Sazha that I was leaving and quickly went to my tunnel earlier. It was only a matter of time before I arrived in our kingdom and I even caught up with Daddy who was sitting on his throne, waiting for my return.

But when I told him, he didn’t want to believe. How will Sazharina’s grandmother find out about fairies? And then what does the bookshelf have to do with the passage of fairies into the world of humans?

I tried pointing out the details to him but he kept insisting that what I was saying was really vague. And I don’t seem to have any proof.

“Son, you can’t just jump into conclusion! What if that girl’s Grandmother knew about the fairies? Many people know about our types. Who knows, maybe she’s just scaring Sazharina? ” Dad reasoned out.

I fell silent.

I hate to admit but he got a point. How could I not immediately think of that?! Of course, Sazharina was too young that time. Her Grandmother can only scare her!

“Eh, what about the bookshelf?!” I insisted.

Dad looked at me annoyed as if I was so stupid because I couldn’t get his point.

“What has their bookshelf got to do with our magical tunnel? It’s not like their bookshelf is big, it’s a tunnel right away!”

I’m upset. Annoying. Why doesn’t Dad get that I want to point out?

“I know you’re smart and observant, son. But don’t use it just to make a conclusion in your mind,” Daddy said calmly.

I bowed. “I’m sorry, Dad.”

Dad smiled at me. “It’s okay, son. Just rest and go to your room.”

I just nodded and bowed first to pay my respects before I went to my room.

I laid my body in my comfortable bed and let my mind rest.

But goddamit! Why can’t I stop thinking about her? I used to be concentrated in the underground and now it’s about her? Can I have a peace, please?! I’m damn tired!

I can’t stop thinking about her. Her angelic face, her womanly yet contagious laugh, and her smile! I felt like I’m in heaven every time she smiles at me.

I have a weird feeling every time she looks at me. I feel like I’m always falling into her eyes. It’s mesmerizing.

And her smiles bring blood to life. She loves to laugh and tease someone. Shee’s the type who doesn’t lose when it comes to bullying. She always has teasing to throw at you.

I smiled at those thoughts. She is weird.

A crazy smile crept into my lips thinking about her.

Damn, this is bad.

I shook my head to erase those thoughts. I decided to go to sleep but when I closed my eyes, another image of Sazharina’s beautiful face came to me. I couldn’t help but smile again until I fell asleep, still thinking about her.

Damn, I’m fvcking crazy.
