The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2631

We first brought Shannon to Marius' apartment. He then carried her into the guest room and lay her down.

I looked at her drunken appearance before covering her with a blanket.

"Don't worry. She'll be with me. I'll take good care of her," Marius said gently beside me.

I frowned and sighed. "Something must have happened. I can't get in touch with Jordan either. They probably got into an argument."

"It's normal for couples to quarrel. They'll eventually make up. I'll ask Shannon about it when she wakes up tomorrow. Don't worry," Marius comforted me.

"I'll stay with her tonight. Go and rest."

I could not leave Shannon alone considering the state she was in.

Marius did not try to persuade me, but my phone rang the next second. "Theo, I'll be "

"Are you coming back soon? The children have been crying. They're probably looking for you."

Theo's words threw a wrench in my plan. I glanced at Marius and then at Shannon, feeling troubled. "But I..."

"What's wrong?" Theo's voice sounded in my ears.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

Marius mouthed to me, "It's okay, I'm here."

Nodding, I finally replied to Theo, "I'm coming home now."

I ended the call and said to Marius apologetically, "I'm sorry. The children are crying. I'll have to trouble you with Shannon. Remember to call me if anything happens." "Okay, Sis Wan. Don't worry and go home. I'll be here."

Marius' words put me at ease, but Shannon still worried me. I looked at her as she lay on the bed, my gaze complicated.

"Don't worry, I won't bully Shannon," Marius's half-joking tone reverberated through the room.

I looked at him and smiled. "Shannon's drunk. I'm afraid she'll bully you instead. I'll leave now then. Thank you for your help."

"Okay, be careful on the road."

After leaving the apartment, I hailed a taxi and went home.

At the villa.

I heard the children's mournful cries the moment I entered the house, and it made my heart ache.

I rushed upstairs to the children's room and quickly carried them into my arms. "My good boy, Timothy. Don't cry, don't cry."

When one stopped, the other would stop too. That was how children were.

In my arms, Timothy gradually stopped crying once I comforted him. Wendy.also quieted down in Theo's arms. I put him back into the crib and looked at the babies' sleeping faces. My heart which had been strung in midair finally eased.

Heading back to our room, Theo glanced at me. "Have you been drinking?"

"I just drank a little. Shannon strung me along to the bar, but she ended up getting drunk. I couldn't reach Jordan either, and when I called you, Keith said you were still in a social meeting. I didn't want to bother you, so called Marius and we brought Shannon to his place," I recounted what happened tonight. I was still thinking about Shannon.

"How is she?" Theo asked.

"She's probably unhappy about something, that's why she ended up drinking. She probably got into an argument with Jordan. I'll ask her about it when she wakes up

tomorrow." I took out my clothes from the closet. "I'm going to take shower. You can go ahead to bed first."

"Wanda?"

I turned around when I heard Theo call out to me. "What is it?"

"You can still call me even if I'm in a meeting next time." Theo was looking at me with a serious expression.

I rolled my eyes slightly. I understood what Theo was feeling, so I agreed. "Okay, I get it. It's my fault." "Go take a shower."
