The Unwilling CEO’s Love Game

Chapter 52

Chapter 52

On the way back, Jocelyn felt a bit bloated in the chest and kept throwing glances at Melvin.

Melvin touched his face, “Is there something on my face?”

“Can’t tell how thick your skin is,” Jocelyn fumed.

“If I had spent the whole night at the hospital, you gonna tell me you wouldn’t have any thoughts about it?” Melvin was cocky.

Jocelyn snorted, “Not really.”

“Seems like all you’ve got left is a tough mouth.” NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.

“By saying that, Willow’s gonna see me as the enemy, right?” Jocelyn glared at him. “A woman’s jealousy is scary stuff. You trying to get me killed?”

Melvin raised an eyebrow, “It’s precisely because of that jealousy that I called you to come get me, so you can take me away yourself.”

“You’re talking nonsense.”

“Am I not just stating the facts?” Melvin challenged her. “Spending a night in the same room with her, you’re really not gonna be jealous?”

Jocelyn turned her head away, “Nope.”

“A teacher shouldn’t be saying one thing and thinking another. Lying’s not a good trait.” At a red light, Melvin stopped the car and reached for Jocelyn’s chest.

Jocelyn jumped, “What are you doing?”

Melvin deadpanned, “Just checking if your heart rate goes up when you lie.”

Jocelyn was speechless.

“Let me tell you, if Willow takes out the anger from what you said today on me, I’m holding you responsible!” Jocelyn warned him.

Melvin coolly replied, “She won’t do anything to you.”

“That’s underestimating a woman’s jealousy,” Jocelyn glanced at the man seemingly unaware that he was the spark. “If she didn’t care about you, it might be no big deal. But obviously, she does care.”

Melvin stayed silent.

Jocelyn looked straight ahead, “Let me ask you something. She came back to you and wanted to get back together, and why won’t you agree? She’s beautiful and well–known, has a great figure and a good rep. You two would be a power couple, a match made in heaven.”

“Do you really want me to be with her?” Melvin shot back coldly.

“It’s not about what I want. It’s about why you’re not with her.”

“Why should I be with her?”

Jocelyn said, “Because she’s dazzling, and you two are a good match.”

Melvin snorted, “I think I’m a better match with you.”

Jocelyn rolled her eyes, “Be serious.”

I am serious.

Knowing she couldn’t get anything out of him about his feelings for Willow, did that mean the past hurt?

When they reached her apartment building, Jocelyn slammed the car door and prepared to leave.

“Stop right there!” Melvin got out of the car casually and locked it.

Jocelyn turned around, “What now?”

Melvin grabbed her hand and pulled her inside.

In the elevator, Jocelyn eyed him, “You should have stayed with her at the hospital.”

Melvin gripped her hand tighter, “Enough.”

“Isn’t this me showing concern for you?” Jocelyn lied through her teeth.

“Since you’re so concerned, then later you can take good care of me.” Melvin’s cheeky gaze made Jocelyn’s heart start to race. He was up to no good.

Once inside the apartment, Melvin spotted beer bottles and used barbecue skewers on the table. He turned to her, “Living the high life, huh?”

“Sure am. You’d know how it feels to be left hanging if, halfway through the night, your woman suddenly gets a call and bolts.” Jocelyn complained sweetly.

Now that he had come back, she had to let him know how pissed she was.

Melvin was in the wrong. He wrapped his arms around her waist, “Make it up to you?”

“Sorry, not interested anymore.” Jocelyn removed his hand and headed for the bedroom, “You’re on the couch.”

She closed the door behind her, but Melvin squeezed through the crack, forcing the door open, and entered. Jocelyn backed away, wary, “What now?”

“Sleep.” Melvin started undressing and took off his belt, his pants sliding down his long, straight legs, not caring about his image at all.

Just a pair of briefs concealing the essentials, his body was an eye–catcher.

As Melvin stripped off the last piece of clothing and headed to the bathroom, Jocelyn caught a glimpse of his pert, firm, sexy backside.

Blushing, Jocelyn looked down and covered her mouth to hide her inner turmoil.

The sound of water filled the room, and Jocelyn sighed helplessly.

Glancing at the clock, she found it was already 4:20 AM.

She changed clothes and lay down on the bed, soon hearing rustling sounds.

The bed dipped as a warm, broad chest pressed against her back; she pretended to be asleep.

Melvin kissed her shoulder, stirring her.

Jocelyn acted as if she knew nothing, unresponsive and still.

“I’ve got a flight at 10 AM tomorrow; you sure you want to give me the cold shoulder?” Melvin knew she was faking sleep, her whole body tense.

Jocelyn kept her eyes shut, still unresponsive.

Melvin got tough, flipped her over, and pinned her down to kiss her lips. The passionate kiss made Jocelyn unable to keep up the act.

She bit down on his tongue, her eyes wide and round.

Melvin winced in pain, his speech muffled, “Tough cookie. Let go!”

Jocelyn didn’t want to play his game, so she let go.

“You’re driving me to the airport tomorrow. Melvin spoke seriously, but his hands were up to no good.

Jocelyn couldn’t stay indifferent; she felt like melting, “Go by yourself.”

Tm away for a week, so you sure you don’t cherish our time together?” Melvin’s kisses covered her, light and heavy too heavy might leave marks, too light and she might go off flirting with someone else.

Just sitting or standing there quietly, she was tempting.

Jocelyn gasped, her body responding to his touch, “I wish you’d go and never come back…”

Suddenly, Jocelyn let out a cry.

Melvin was clearly giving her a taste of her own medicine, his voice was hoarse with a touch of revenge, “So if I don’t come back, you’ll go looking for another guy?”

“As if you wouldn’t be out there chasing other girls. Melvin…” Jocelyn’s eyes were misting up. She clung to his back for dear life, gripping him as if she wanted to tear him apart.

Melvin was quite pleased with her current look – pissed off but clearly loving the thrill he was giving her. She was totally hooked on him.

Just like he was addicted to her too.

Melvin nibbled on her ear, whispering like a siren’s call, “You’re the only girl for me. Just stay good, and you’ll be the only one!”

Jocelyn shrugged her shoulders, melting even further at his rare display of sweet nothings, her whole body turning to putty in his hands.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, her eyes sparkled, her gaze sultry, her lips full and sexy, her mind a bit all over the place as the words tumbled out, soft and coy, “Melvin.”

“Hmm?” Melvin responded with passion, his whole being like a wave, crashing against Jocelyn again and again.

The words Jocelyn wanted to say were lost to his movements, her hands gripping his back tightly, riding the waves of pleasure he brought.
