Chapter 919 Choose
Chapter 919 Choose
Initially, Luke felt a great sense of satisfaction, believing that he had successfully avenged his son. However, as time went on, he started to feel uneasy. The severity of the injuries inflicted on Hillary's palm had far exceeded his expectations.
Joaquin looked at Hillary with a complex expression on his face before glancing at Kingsley. After a brief moment of hesitation, he finally mustered the courage to speak up, "Uhm... Mr. Nicholson, she only struck my grandson once. So, this is really more than enough..."
Then, he inhaled deeply before muttering lowly, "If that man continues to harm her, her hand will likely become completely useless."
Kingsley smiled faintly and looked at little Ethan, who was hiding in his grandfather's arms. "Ethan, are you still afraid of the person who hurt your hand?"
"No, I'm not afraid anymore." Ethan whispered, "The bad person has been taught a lesson. So, I'm not scared of her now."
Kingsley nodded in satisfaction after hearing his words.
"Alright, Mickey. That's enough."
Mickey immediately discarded the rolling pin and obediently released Hillary upon receiving Kingsley's order to cease.
Meanwhile, Hillary promptly collapsed to the ground with a loud thud without his support.

A tear rolled down her cheek, and it fell onto the ground. Still, she couldn't help but feel a sliver of relief worming into her heart.
Just a moment ago, she genuinely thought she was going to be beaten to death.
However, before she could fully relax, Kingsley's cold voice reached her ears as he said, "Miss Drew, the matter of you striking Ethan may be resolved. Unfortunately for you, the matter of you bullying Miss Ansley is not yet over!"
Boom!
Hillary felt as if she had been struck by lightning, and her vision instantly turned spotty!
She struggled to rise from the ground, removed Mickey's foul-smelling sock from her mouth with her left hand, and staggered toward Yulia, crying piteously while she blubbered, "Yulia, please help me. I beg you! I can't take it anymore! I really, really can't! I'm sure he'll kill me if he hits me one more time!"
Yulia couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy as she stared at Hillary, who was covered in blood as snot and tears streamed down her face in clumps.
She had always been a very naive and kind-hearted person. So, she had never been able to bear witnessing someone plead with her like this.
"Could you, perhaps, release her?." Yulia turned her head to look at Kingsley before saying softly, "Although she has been pressuring me to do those despicable things, I have never agreed to them. So, she has never succeeded."
Frankly, Kingsley had no intention of taking Hillary's life right then and there.
He understood Yulia's nature very well.
If he truly eliminated Hillary today, Yulia would undoubtedly feel immense guilt over such a thing. It would leave an undeniable scar on her heart. So, he naturally didn't want to create any negative
memories for Yulia just to teach Hillary a lesson. "If you want me to spare you, you can also do something for me in exchange." He regarded Hillary coldly as he continued, "However, do you understand what you have to do from now on?"
Hillary wasted no time agreeing to whatever he was about to propose, shrieking, "I understand! I do!" Then, she blurted, "I will never force Yulia to do such things again. I promise! I will do my best to help her become the most renowned model!" Although she was saying those things, she had already made up her mind to resign from the company as soon as she returned. Now that she was aware that Yulia had someone like him protecting her, it terrified Hillary out of her wits! How could she possibly work with Yulia ever again?! She truly feared that even the slightest mistake would result in a severe beating if she did!
"In the future, I don't want to witness similar incidents occurring again! Otherwise, I can't guarantee your survival next time!" He waved his hand in dismissal and drawled, "Alright, you may leave now." Hillary immediately ran to the door as though she had just received a pardon, crawling and scrambling to flee. At that moment, Rayden stepped forward and asked, "Boss Nicholson, how should we deal with Kendall?"
"Kendall?" Kingsley blinked as he turned his gaze to Kendall. "Oh, dear me. How could I forget our esteemed guest? So, tell me, Kendall. Do you want to live or die?"
