The President’s Mistake A Tale of Love and Regret

Chapter 3

Chapter 3

Nathaniel did not expect to see Freya again in this kind of place, and she was even disfigured.

He looked at her, and he felt depressed for no reason.

He raised his hand to pinch her cheeks, and he stared at her.

She was struggling aggressively, and she felt breathless. She wanted to push his hands away and protect her disfigured face.

He frowned for a while; he could feel that her hands were rough and even full of thick calluses. Her hair was short and messy, and her skinny face was full of fear.

He frowned even harder, and he asked mockingly, "Ms. Gomez, how are you doing?"

She was shaking, and her lips were trembling; she was overwhelmed by fears.

All of her hardships were caused by the man sitting in front of her; she hated him, yet she feared him more.

He stared at her coldly, and he asked, "Ms. Gomez, did you lose your ability to talk after three years?"

"Mr… Mr. Morgan!" She used all her strength to speak his name.

Her sound was hoarse and weird; his hand froze when he heard it. And then he let go of her and wiped his hands with a tissue as if his hand had touched something dirty.

The rest of the people were stunned looking at what happened; it seemed like Nathaniel knew this cleaner.

The door of the room was pushed open, and Jacob strode in. He wanted to say something to Nathaniel, his good friend. But then he was attracted by Freya, who was kneeling on the floor.

He was taken aback, and then he walked up to sit in the empty seat beside Nathaniel. And then he pulled Freya, who was kneeling on the floor.

"Hey, we're all old friends!" "Why are you kneeling down?"

She staggered, and she was dragged up by Jacob; her body was still shivering, and she thanked him.

Her voice made the face of the man in front of her darken.

All she wanted to do was escape; he knew that he was a devil, and she could not afford to enrage him.

She had to live! She would be dead by now if it were not for her coma-ridden mother and missing younger brother.

Sometimes living is more difficult than dying.

She gritted her teeth and forced herself to hold on.

She somehow thought that she was the one to be blamed for the downfall of the Gomez family.

Four years ago, she brought Nathaniel home, and her father said that Nathaniel was not a good man. And she did not listen to him; she cried and begged to marry Nathaniel.

Now, all she wanted was to stay away from him; she did not want to see him in her life anymore.

Her knees were in extreme pain, but she ignored it and took some steps back.

"Stand still!" Nathaniel spoke coldly.

She did not dare to move anymore; she held her breath as she looked at him.

"Nathaniel, just let it go," Jacob said with a smile to the side.

"Go out now!" Nathaniel's face crumpled.

Jacob was stunned, and he looked at the timid Freya. He moved his lips, but he did not know what else to say.

Nathaniel was best friends with him for years. Back then, the Rivera family was in trouble; Jacob was sent abroad to stay low, and he met Nathaniel in the Chinatown of Mypos. And they became best friends for life ever since.

He knew Nathaniel well, so he looked at Freya and got up.

"Everyone f*ck off!"

The rest of the people got up and left the room, one after another. Freya also wanted to follow them out, but the man in front of her was walking near her.

She wanted to back off subconsciously; he seemed so much more intimidating and aggressive than three years ago.

He glared at Freya deadly, and his gaze was as sharp as a knife.

Freya could not hold back, and she knelt down in front of him.

"Mr. Morgan, three years have passed."

"I was in jail; my dad was dead; my mom was in a coma. And my left hand is also disabled."

"Mr. Morgan, I'm begging you to let me go! I promise that I will never appear in front of you again!"

He did not expect her to kneel down to him, and he was taken by surprise. Yet he was angered by her action.

He dragged her up and pushed her against the fancy wall; her skinny waist landed on the marble decoration, and she felt painful.

She bit her lips so that she did not scream, and she looked into his eyes with fear.

Nathaniel realized that she was completely different; she was now useless and easy to bully, but he did not feel good about it.

"Freya… Why are you so cheap? You're very good at kneeling to people, are you?"

She was panting heavily, and her body was trembling uncontrollably.

He frowned, and he said in a lowered voice, "Do you think that your life can be better if you get together with Jacob, my best friend?"

"I…I didn't…" She did not expect him to misunderstand her like this.

She was such a mess that no man would ever be interested in her. Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

He hasn't seen me in three years, and he's doing this to me now?

Just as I begged him to believe my innocence three years ago, but he did not believe that I didn't push Abigail.

Everyone would not believe that Abigail would fall down the stairs by herself in the wheelchair.

It was fine if others misunderstood her, but he did not believe her either.

She closed her eyes helplessly, and she felt numb; she did not bother to explain herself anymore.

Her dull expression made him inexplicably upset. He hated everyone from the Gomez family, including her; they all should go to hell.

Seeing this woman again, he actually panicked. No! I won't let anything or anyone affect me; she's a nobody to me!

"Ask Della to come in now!"

The bodyguard guarding the door hurriedly turned and walked away, and after a while, a graceful woman walked into the room.

She looked splendid with her exquisite makeup; she was the person in charge of Red Shift, and all the workers here addressed her as "Ms. Cruz".

Freya came here to work as a cleaner; she had only seen Della from afar before. Della was beyond her reach.

She did not expect Nathaniel to have the power to order Della, and Freya was panicking.

"Mr. Morgan, what do you need?" Della was respectful to him, just like he was her boss.

Red Shift was actually one of Nathaniel's properties.

Freya's face was pale, and she finally realized it.

Nathaniel ruined the Gomez family, and he also took over the Omnilert Group. Now that he was even involved in the largest entertainment industry in Savannah, He was so ambitious.

He even replaced his father as the president of the Saeville Chamber of Commerce; he was extremely powerful now.

Nathaniel looked at Freya with disgust, and he said, "Let her greet guests at the door!"

Della was stunned that a woman with a disfigured face would greet the guest.

Freya's face turned pale in an instant. She knew that Nathaniel would never let her go; he would publicly humiliate her.

She was once from the rich people's circle, and the customers here in the Red Shift might recognize her and mock her.

She did not care about anything, including her dignity, but she did not wish to go through public humiliation.

Her voice trembled, and she grabbed onto him. "Mr. Morgan, please... please let the Gomez family go; we're left with nothing; I'm begging!"

He slowly bent down, and his lips brushed against her ear. "Freya, you shouldn't even appear in front of me again. You should be punished for trying to seduce me."

Her eyes widened, and her heart was shattered into pieces; she thought that she could not be any more hurt than she was.

Her stiff facial expression enraged him. "Hey, are you deaf?" His face crumpled as he looked at Della.

Della smiled and replied, "Boss, I'll arrange whatever you've requested."
