“I can’t believe the day is here!” Jhonia said looking in the mirror of her room in the Pinnock’s residence.

“Are you happy that you’re going as a free woman?” Mrs. Pinnock entered her room and asked to look at her.

“Sorry, mom. I’m not free just yet! I know I should be running away from this, I also, no longer feel the need for you to take the blame or count those months. September is coming to an end and only one year and three months would be left! My mother’s birthday is on a Saturday so lucky, I won’t have to ask for a day off from work! This time… Sincerely, I mean it. I’m done.” Jhonia apologized saying to her, she requested the free months shouldn’t be counted and explained why as she added her mother’s birth date and it’s luck! “I understand.” Mrs. Pinnock said as she has finally heard the truth, she so desires hearing.

“Yet, another outstanding dress but also looks like a simple nightgown.” Mrs. Pinnock said to Jhonia and she smiled, after entering and noticing her dress for the mask party!

“Sorry, you know I don’t do all that sexy stuff in clothing. I just wanted a simple dress that doesn’t sucked to my body, and also doesn’t expose my breast and thighs.” Jhonia responded by apologizing as she explained to Mrs. Pinnock about her body being not exposed.

“I see.” Mrs. Pinnock responded to her with a smile. She decided to leave but quickly stopped and turned around.

“So…? Are you going to tell him about the kiss you two shared then or not?” Mrs. Pinnock asked immediately, Jhonia looked up at her, for a moment she just stared. But she wasn’t staring at Mrs. Pinnock at all!

“It would do so much harm to your son… Will you be okay with that?” Jhonia said to her, a moment of smiling before she asked, still looking out at Nearce who stood outside.

“Jhonia, Kyhe might not have a good image because of his playboy profile… But if i were him i would want to know about the woman who kisses me. He was so grown up yet he was waiting for “the one”, just thinking about it makes me wish I was young. Someone hurt him and there he became who he is today but I am sure no one made my son a cheater, he did all that himself.” Mrs. Pinnock looked at her with a smile before she began to explain to Jhonia how different they’re, reminding her he was innocent until he was hurt so he became someone else. As for Nearce who stood in silence listening to his mother telling his wife exactly what he is.

“Okay. Well then, let’s not talk about him anymore.” Jhonia said with a pleasing smile which Mrs. Pinnock quickly returned. Nearce went away from there pretending he wasn’t there.

Later that night at the mask party, Jhonia arrived moments before Kyhe did!

“I thought I was your date?” Kyhe asked, making Jhonia who was stepping down the stairs turn around instantly missing a step.

“Ah!” She shouted from losing balance, within that second Kyhe catched her but surprisingly the mask she’s wearing now is similar to one he has seen before and that is the woman who took his first kiss which made him stared at her for a while.

“Well, aren’t you the perfect match made in heaven. Sure enough it’s a golden couple.” Madiea said to him, Kyhe quickly adjusted himself and released Jhonia.

“Ahem.” Kyhe cleared his throat.

“Sorry, we didn’t mean to interrupt. But a golden couple is quite the catchy name for a couple.” Nielle said and Kyhe was even more surprised than anyone else in their surroundings.

“Mom?” Jhonia called questioningly as she noticed Mrs. Pinnock amongst the girls.

“Well, let’s get along, it’s going to be a long night.” Mrs. Pinnock said as she met gaze with Nearce.

“Ahem.” Jhonia cleared her throat turning to see what she was looking at only to see Nearce, as a woman was approaching him. Jhonia was turning away so she didn’t see who it was.

“Let’s just enjoy the night.” Jhonia said with a smile, she turned and went away from there.

I don’t know why but I do feel a little weird. Maybe I’m over thinking because their mask looked the same, maybe it’s just a coincidence that-

“Hey!” Kuwain approaches Kyhe, saying and cutting his thoughts.

“Jhoni”

“Again?” Kuwain cutted him off and asked. Kyhe looked at him with confusion but for a moment it was cleared.

“Yes, you need to find that girl I told you about. Please, this time I need answers at least one of the two I need to find.” Kyhe said responding to Kuwain, who noticed that something about him is certainly off!

“Are you okay?” Kuwain finally asked. Kyhe looked up at him, turning the attention away from Jhonia. Who seems to be enjoying the party very well already!

“I wanna know for sure and you must help me!” Kyhe said, then turned and looked back at Jhonia before he told he must help!

“Cool. Don’t stress about it, I am on it.” Kuwain responded looking at him but his gaze and mind was across the room.

“Also, I think you should take a step forward towards Jhonia. She might not be who you seek but she is close enough.” Kuwain said to Kyhe with a pat on the shoulder but Kyhe walked off in the opposite direction, it seems he has other plans. Kuwain decided to approach Jhonia.

“Hey Kuw”

Jhonia was cut off by Kuwain who abruptly grabbed her arm pulling her away from the crowd

“What”

“Divorce him!” Kuwain stated and cut her off leaving her in shock.

“What?” Jhonia asked surprisingly but she knew where it was coming from.

“Divorce your husband.” Kuwain said and a couple looked over at them, Jhonia grabbed his arm pulling him down to where she shared an accidental kiss with Kyhe.

“Are you crazy? People are watching us, just now you made me out to be someone who is cheating asking me to divorce like that!?” Jhonia asked him, then began explaining what he did wrong, asking her to divorce Nearce the way he did.

“Oh my god, is he crazy?” A woman said shockingly as she passed them by.

“You are ruining his life, Jhonia. He won’t ask you to quit and he won’t fire you, because…” Kuwain said daringly to her, then told her but quickly hesitated to explain why Kyhe won’t fire her or ask her to leave. Jhonia narrowed her eyebrows at him.

“Because? … Because of what?”

She asked him and took a moment waiting for him but couldn’t wait so she asked again, surprising Kuwain because her voice became more demanding than Kyhe’s and she was serious about getting an answer.

“Because”

“Because of what? Kuwain if you don’t speak and speak now so help you god!” Jhonia cut him off and asked then said to him, as she quickly noted he will regret it if he doesn’t.

“Because you remind of someone he was looking for and now he’s at it again, Jhonia this person doesn’t exist at least not anymore. And you allow him to touch you and now, the only way he sees fit to get over you is sleeping with that woman in his office then yell at me for it.” Kuwain finally lets out surprising Jhonia who is now thinking Kuwain is talking about the person Kyhe shared that kiss with, but as soon as he finish speaking about Kyhe trying to get over Jhonia in a specific way that hurt them both. Tyu, appeared suddenly with a smile.

“What are you doing all the way back here? Also, Jhonia. Kyhe is looking for you.” Tyu asked looking at both of them then said to Jhonia, once more smiling at them like before. After they left her alone standing there, she smiled and exposed her ear with an earpiece within.

“Did you hear what Kuwain said?”
