Chapter 22 Who is that lady?
What was she doing in his office?
He left the door and entered completely into the office as he stare keenly at the lady in his office.
She stood up when she noticed his presence.
“Hey darling! You’re done with your business meeting.” Blossom said as she walked to him.
“What are you doing in my office? And how did you get in?” Aiden asked with seriousness.
“How do you expect me to answer the both at once?”Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
“I don’t wish to know. Just tell me how you got into my office.”
“Chill sweetheart, I got in here like you and everyone else always do. The secretary said you were in a meeting so I decided to wait for you here.”
“What do you want Blossom?”
“What’s with that question? Shouldn’t you be happy I didn’t come to meet you in the conference room?” She raised a brow.
“You wouldn’t have dared.” Aiden said, making her laugh.
“You’re so funny Aiden.” She said after her laughter died down.
“Get out Blossom.”
“Do you really want me to go?” Blossom said in a seductive smile.
“I don’t just want you to go but I also want you to get lost and never return.”
He was beginning to get pissed and was already irritated by her attitude.
Blossom felt hurt by his words but she covered it up with a smile.
“I would forgive that, just like I forgave you for marrying someone else other than me.” Aiden scoffed at her words.
She was beginning to sound like an ex girlfriend right now.
“What exactly is the colour of your problem Blossom?” Aiden asked unbelievably.
“If loving you is a problem then I will say the colour is green which is your favorite colour.”
“It will have nothing to do with a stupid problem of yours.” Aiden glared at her and she gave out a small smile.
“I guess you must be feeling so fulfilled that you’ve finally gotten rid of me by getting married.” Blossom said with jealousy written over her but Aiden didn’t reply.
“But should I burst your bubbles a bit? You haven’t because I won’t give up on you. You should know that if I don’t have you, no one else will.” Blossom smirked.
Aiden smiled and came closer to her as he bent his head to her level that their lips were just a meter away from each other.
“You should better get rid of that ideology of yours because it failed the moment I got married to my beautiful wife and she already won against you even without having to fight.”
Even though most of the things Aiden had just said were lies and kind of tasted somehow to his lips, he just needed to say them to get rid of the witch in front of him right now.
“Then she would need to get prepared for another fight because I haven’t given up yet.”
“She can’t stoop to your level of fighting for what she already…….” Blossom shut him up with a kiss.
She slowly took him to the couch as she kissed him.
Just when she thought she got him, he broke the kiss and pushed her away.
Aiden stood well and glared at her.
“Get out now.” Aiden said, pointing to the door.
“What do you mean I should…” Blossom was interrupted again by a pissed Aiden.
“Don’t make me repeat myself.”
She frowned and took a deep breath. She took her purse and left the office but not without glaring at him.
Wayne came into the office almost immediately. He kept the coffee on the table and walked back to the man standing on a spot.
“What happened again? I saw Blossom on my way here.”
“That crazy lady kissed me.”
“Huh? Where?” Wayne asked with eyes wide open.
Aiden stared at him like he was stupid and went to his chair.
“Where else? On my butts.” He replied sarcastically. Wayne grinned and went to sit opposite him.
“Really? But you still have your trousers on.” Wayne asked in a smirk.
“This is no time for jokes Wayne.”
“You started it first.” Wayne defended as he raised his hands in surrender.
Aiden took his cup of coffee and rested on his chair.
“What took you so long?”
“I was assisting a worker downstairs.”
“You should know my company isn’t a place to fall in love so look for somewhere else to do that..”
“Take a chill pill, I was just helping you do some of your duties.” Aiden scoffed and there was seconds of silence.
“But on a serious note now, did you really allow her kiss you?” Wayne said again in all the seriousness he could muster.
“She caught me off guard and I almost lost control of myself but thankfully I was able to fight off the sensation.” Aiden sipped his coffee.
Wayne put his elbow on the table as he used the hand to support his jaw.
“You know what Aiden, anything I’d say to you right now, believe me when I say it will be nothing but the truth.”
“Just go ahead.” Aiden said impatiently.
“I don’t mean to poke into your business and forgive me if you find me intrusive but I would solemnly advise you to stay away from that girl, Blossom. She seems to look like the type of girl who would do anything humanly possible to have her way.” Wayne advised.
“It is a free advise, take it or leave it.” He said again, this time in a little smile and stood up.
He went to sit on the couch in the office and took the newspaper on the table. He crossed his legs as he read it.
Aiden stared at him for a while and dropped his coffee.
He took the telephone on his desk as he placed a call to the secretary.
“Meet me in my office now.” He dropped the telephone and rested back on his chair.
The door opened shortly and the secretary came in.
She bowed when she was in front of her boss.
“You do know Blossom well right?”
“Not so well sir but I do know she is your very good friend.” She replied in a smile.
“And who told you that?”
“She told me sir.” The secretary confirmed and Aiden scoffed.
“Well I don’t want to see her here again.”
The secretary was taken aback immediately.
“The day I see her here again, you would loose your job.” Aiden said slowly rubbing his beards.
“But sir, she is so adamant. She …….”
“I don’t care if she insists. Mine is that you shouldn’t let her in here again because the day you let her in again, you should say bye bye to your job.” Aiden chipped in.
“Have I made myself clear?” The secretary nodded but Aiden wasn’t satisfied as he repeated his question.
“Have I or have I not made myself clear?”
“You have sir.”
“Good, you can leave.” The secretary left and Aiden took his cup of coffee as he sipped the contents.
“When will you start preparing for your honeymoon?” Wayne said, his eyes still on the newspaper.
“Point of correction, it is a business trip and not a honeymoon.”
“You’re going with her in either ways.” Aiden didn’t reply.
“Gosh, grandfather is so smart. He knew you wouldn’t accept the honeymoon thing and he made it with your trip.” Wayne said again in mischievous smile as he chuckles.
Aiden just shook his head.
_____
Blossom got down from the car and entered the house in a haste.
All the maids that saw her avoided her with fear because of the frown on her face.
It was like a suicide mission when a maid or anyone get into trouble with an angry Blossom.
She angrily closed the door behind her as she entered her room and threw her purse on the bed.
She groaned as she hit her hand on the wall.
Why was her plan always crashing right in front of her?
Just when she thought he was succumbing to her, he pushed her away.
She let herself fall on the bed heavily as she remembered how he pushed her away.
The pain came flashing back and a tear dropped from her eye. She wiped it immediately before it could roll down her cheek.
This plan might have failed but her brain hasn’t. She was going to sit and hatch another plan that would work.
There was no way she would allow a stupid lady take her Aiden from her.
Someone knocked on her door.
“Who the hell is it? And what do you want?” She asked rudely.
“It is a maid ma’am. Someone wants to see you downstairs.”
“Doesn’t the person have a gender?” She asked, glaring at the door like it offended her.
“I’m sorry ma’am. He is a man and he asked to see you.”
Blossom didn’t hear anything again so she guessed the maid might have left.
Her mind drifted to Aiden but another part of her disapproved the thought.
Why would he come to see her anyways?
But who could it be?
Only one way to find out.
She stood up from the bed and went downstairs.
Getting downstairs, she met the man who was also a friend to her.
“Trenton.” She called in a smile and he turned to her.
She gave him a hug and he reciprocated.
“How are you doing? It’s been a while.”
“Of course it is. You travelled and left me here in America without even calling to know how I was fairing, is that cool?”
“I’m sorry, I was just busy with work but now I’m back. We could catch up for the time lost, it is never too late.”
“What if for a start, we go out now. What do you say?” Trenton said again and Blossom’s eyes lit up.
“I say yes.”
“Okay, let’s go.”
“Sure. Let me go and get my purse, I’ll be right back.”
Blossom ran upstairs to get her purse while Trenton sat back in the living room and waited for her.

“The work over there isn’t as easy as you think.”
“It is, considering you would have any lady just at the snap of your finger to cool you down after the stress.” Blossom smirked and Trenton chuckled.
“It isn’t as you said. Trust me the business meetings were so hectic that I barely have enough time to have fun.”
“Indeed.” Trenton laughed at the way she said it.
“I’m being serious here.” Blossom just rolled her eyes and Trenton laughed again.
“Enough talk of me, how has life being with you since I was away?” Trenton said after some seconds of laughter.
He sipped his juice as he paid full attention to the lady in front of him.
“It’s not been fair.”
“Really?! Let me guess, it’s still about Aiden.” Trenton said, trying not to show his irritation and when she rolled her eyes instead of replying, he groaned a little.
“When would you stop this?”
“Till he finally gets to accept me.”
“But that looks like it’s never gonna happen.”
“It will, it is just a matter of time.”
“And when would that time come? Is it until you get a wrinkled face?” Trenton creased a brow. Mockery was laced in his words.
“It will definitely come. All you just have to do is to sit down and watch while I put you to shame.” Blossom snapped her fingers.
“Alright, alright, I can’t wait for it.” Trenton surrendered.
Silence ensued between them with both having different thoughts running through their minds.
“Is Aiden finally married?” Trenton asked breaking the silence.
This was the main reason he came to see her in the first place, to confirm what he saw and heard.
Blossom rolled her eyes but didn’t reply.
“Answer me Blossom, I want to confirm if what I heard are true.”
“I don’t want to talk about it Trent.”
“Please do for my sake.” Trenton pleaded.
“Well, unfortunately yes, to an unfortunate whore whom I will soon get rid of.” Blossom said as fast as she could in a frown.
Just at the thought of their marriage makes her wanna kill.
“Do you know who the lady might be?”
“If I know, what will happen?”
“Nothing exactly.” Trenton said in a nervous smile as he rested back on the chair.
He was just trying to figure out a way he could get the answer he needed from Blossom without her getting suspicious of anything.
“Then let it remain that way.” Blossom said after a while and scoffed.
Trenton shrugged as he thought of where to find his answers. It seemed like Blossom wasn’t ready to help.
