His sudden change of expression startled Abbie. "Why are you so fierce? Who do you think you are?"

"You can have a try if you don't believe me," Michael looked at her coldly. He had always been cheerful and humorous towards her. So this change in attitude made her feel afraid.

"What the hell! Can anyone just bully me? If you weren't my brother-in-law, I wouldn't have come to you for help, anyway! Let's go, Paige!"

Abbie took Paige's hand and left. Michael sat in his chair with a scary look on his face.

He looked like a devil that just rose from hell.

Abbie pulled Paige out of Michael's law firm and got on her car angrily. "That d*mn Michael. Who does he think he is to threaten me?"

"Alright, cool down. I have money, you can use it first. He can't possibly cut your card off for the rest of your life, right?" Paige persuaded her.

"Well, there's nothing else I can do," Abbie started the engine and left.

Suddenly, Paige received a call from Bobby.

"Miss Anderson, it's Bobby speaking. Do you have some time to spare?"

"Yes, I have some time. Is anything that matters?"

"Yes, there is. I would like to talk to you in person. You can choose the location."

Paige gave him the address of the cafe nearby and Abbie drove her there.

She waited in the cafe with Abbie for about half an hour before Bobby arrived.

Bobby greeted them once he entered, "Hello Miss Anderson and Miss Cook."

"Have a seat, I ordered some coffee."

"No, I'm leaving soon." Bobby didn't sit down and he gave her a card. "This is for you. The password is six eights."

"What is this?" Paige looked at the card incredulously.

"Sir Joseph asked me to give it to you."

"Joseph? Why is he giving me a card?"

"There is one billion dollars in this card. It is the breakup fee for you. Please accept it, Miss Anderson."

"Breakup fee? One billion dollars?" Abbie jumped in shock upon hearing that. How come Joseph was so generous?

She looked at Paige immediately, whose face was flushed. "What does he take me for? I don't want his money. Take it back."

"This is Sir Joseph's order. Please don't make things difficult for me, Miss Anderson." Seeing that Paige wasn't going to accept it, he put it on the tray in front of him and walked away.

"Stop! Take the card!" Paige got up and chased after him. Bobby had long legs, so he walked very quickly. She couldn't even keep up with him.

When Bobby reached his car, he sped off immediately.

Paige stomped her feet with the card in her hand while tears were welling up in her eyes.

Paige threw the card on the ground angrily.

Abbie followed behind and picked the card up. "Wow, Paige. Is it true? Is there really one billion dollars in this card? Did he really give you this?"

"What are you angry about? Since he wants to give it to you, you should just accept it. Let's go and check if there really is one billion dollars here."

"No, don't check it. What's there to check?" Paige was furious.

Abbie could not believe that there were a billion dollars inside, so she brought Paige to the nearest ATM machine.

She inserted the card and checked. Abbie looked at the screen and her eves almost bulged out of their sockets. "It really is a billion dollars. He really gave you one billion, gosh!"

Compared to Abbie's disbelief, Paige was filled with anger.

Joseph was too much of a bully.

She wanted to look for him!

Paige called Joseph and he finally answered after a long time. "Hello," he answered coldly.

"What do you mean? Why did you ask Bobby to give me this card?" Paige asked angrily.

"Didn't Bobby make it clear to you?" Joseph asked nonchalantly.

"Joseph, what do you treat me as? Are you trying to show that you're rich? I don't want your break up fee!"

"Where are you now? I'll return this to you now."

"Since I've given it to you, why are you acting so righteous?" Joseph was annoyed. "Is this too little for you? Do you want another billion?"

"You b*stard!" As soon as Paige started cursing him, Joseph hung up.

Paige immediately called back, but there was no answer.

She dialled Joseph's number a few more times but Joseph ignored her call.

One billion dollars was too little for her?

Wasn't she someone materialistic? If it were in the past, Joseph would believe that Paige was behaving like one.

But now he didn't believe that. She looked down on him and his inability to earn money.

Seeing how she got together with Hardy in just a few days, he could tell how much she loved money.

Joseph could not believe that she would love Hardy at first sight. It was obviously because Hardy had higher status and capability compared to him.

It was enough to attract women with his status. He was young and had a good reputation, so she

purposely found a reason to dump him. She got angry at him unreasonably and accused him of something he didn't do.

Then she hooked up with that guy at noon and got into a rumor with him at night. The next day, she went to his office for work and had dinner with him. And now, they met up at noon again.
